My project was dropped off for me in February/March 2025, by my mom. I called The Celtic Knot for an update on April 12, 2025 & April 15, 2025 (I'm not exactly sure which day was the one they picked up). I called for an update because I hadn't heard *anything*- no calls, no texts, no emails, no mail, nothin'.

I was very polite on the phone when I called and asked for an update, and whichever woman had picked up the call was EXTREMELY rude to me. She said something along the lines of, "I had told your mom it would be 6 weeks", in a VERY nasty & haughty tone. Mind you-we're local, paying customers, trying to support a local, small business...Anywaysssss, so I leave it be.

Another month goes by. I call on May 14th, 2025 for another update. Because? You guessed it! I still hadn't heard anything. The woman who responded that day was much nicer, but she did tell me that "since my project didn't have a priority note, it was going to be worked on *after* all of the prom and wedding dress projects..." (which I'm sure most of were dropped off long after my project was...) So, even then, I was kind.

Another month goes by. Again, not. one. peep. I get a missed call from them on June 14th, 2025, which I missed because I was at an event. Erin of the Celtic Knot, whom I later found out was the one who worked on my project, texted me, letting me know that my project was done, and that it would be 10 dollars.

I was so relieved to finally hear an update from them, and that the project was done, though I was surprised the cost was so low..I soon found out why. I told her I was happy to have it back & fixed. She then told me that it wasn't fixed, she just stopped the fraying. She didn't complete the project by adding yarn to the corner of the square-which was literally the whole, entire point of the project...I want to be able to *hang up* my *wall hanging*.. tall order, I guess?

I asked if she would be able to get more yarn to fully fix it or not, and she said no, that that is not something she carries. It is a fabric & yarn supply store, as well as alteration service, and they accepted the project, and I never received ANY word that it could not be completed until that moment. Let alone that it would take 3-4 months of silence, except for when I reached out, to be given to me uncompleted at a cost.

10 dollars is cheap, but not to receive something back that's still broken...Not only was it not finished to the square's corner, SO many parts of it were broken, frayed, in disarray, and let untouched and unfixed.

The Celtic Knot pretty much did nothing but waste my time, energy, and money.
I waited 4 months for an uncompleted project-with 0 communication unless I asked, and no options for my project to be fixed. Now I will have to take it elsewhere, which will take even MORE time and money.

I do not plan on ever purchasing their goods or services again. It's sad because I really wanted to support this local, small business.

And the rest of the pics are what I got back from Celtic Knot on June 18th, 2025. When I picked it up, there was no apology given or anything. The expectations versus reality is wiiiilllldddd.

We have dropped off an item for alteration recently and it was done well.
Came in with my daughter and while I got absorbed in a discussion about specific type of yarn I was looking for, my sweet little girl nearly took down half the shelves with all the yarn in them (on accident she was trying to reach for something). They were polite, patient and kind. After all it was an accident. They went out of their way to find me the yarn I was looking for. The end result was great.
So glad they exist. Friendly local store. They went out of their way to find me the yarn I was looking for, and answered every question I had. It was a pleasure. Will shop there again.

The best yarn, fabric store for miles! Small but mighty comes to mind when I was there.  I can't wait to go back. Wonderful woman knows her business and has sewing machine repair also. She's a beautiful knitter and sewer. There are classes too. If you're looking for something specific call.......she carries my favorite yarn!

I've absolutely been to much worse laundry mats. This one is decent, gets the job done. It's a little pricey (but not the worst prices I've seen). The machines aren't always that clean (they can't be there 24/7 to clean them, I get it). My biggest pet peeve though was that they have papers for you to use to report a downed machine and they say they'll send your money back from that machine at the end of the month (probably in the form of a check which is fine), but my stepmom said she didn't see a lock box anywhere to put the form which would mean leaving her name and address and phone number out where anyone could get it.
Otherwise it's a decent little place. No big complaints.

The fact the owners of this place think that it is acceptable for people who pay $5-$7 to do their laundry to do so in unsanitary, dirty, filthy conditions is abhorrent.
I stopped at this laundromat with my kids to wash a large heavy blanket and was astonished at what I saw.
The place was disgusting. The smell was unpleasant, trash was on the floor, and the garbage cans were overflowing. The floors were so filthy, it is unclear how many years ago they were cleaned.
Nobody deserves to spend even 5 min in a place like that let alone do their laundry.
I instructed my children not to touch anything.
I approached one washer then another and another. They were gross. Soap dispensers in the machines I checked were just as bad as the next one.  Each is contaminated with residual dirt, mold, and mildew 🤢 (see photos)

I am not new to the laundromats.  We utilize them frequently in our travels.  I hold no illusions about laundromats and do not expect them to be sparkly and smell of flowers, even though it has been my experience more than once traveling elsewhere in the northeast. At the very least the places smelled of clean laundry and looked like they were cleaned daily, as they should be.
How does the village even allow this place to operate? Is public health no longer a concern for the area?
The consequences of using dirty washing machines extend far beyond unclean clothes. From skin irritation to respiratory issues, the health hazards associated with unclean laundry appliances are alarming. Mold spores, allergens, and bacteria can transfer onto your clothes during the wash cycle, triggering allergic reactions or exacerbating existing respiratory conditions, not to mention its effects on the immunocompromised customers who may be using this place.
Cleanliness and hygiene are imperative in the laundromats. This place is so far from any of it, it’s tragic.

I plan on going back and taking more photos. I did not take a photo of the entire place out of respect for the people there. Clearly, something the owners and attendants of this place do not have.

Very dirty, moldy machines. At 10 am it is already hot inside without any driers running yet.

I was grateful to have a near-by laundromat.  It wasn't nearly as bad as people had expressed. I didn't notice odor and there wasn't any trash on the floor. As far as laundromats go I thought this one was ok

People are not lying when they say the place is kinda of dump. The roof is in fact falling apart. Big washing machines are $5.50 to use. Little ones are $2.50 and it looks like it's 25 cents per 7 minutes for the dryers. It's not a pretty place to get your laundry done but it is convenient
