I moved here two years ago and I found this place. I wear suits all the time and I have never been happier with the service. I am very particular about who I trust with my clothing and they have earned my trust with the service and treatment.

I dropped off three pairs of uniform pants and a shirt. They were ready in a timely manner however the quality was poor. A pressed crease was not placed where I asked it to be on the shirt even though I was assured it would be. Then, upon going to wear the pants I discovered wrinkles pressed into them to the extent that I had to wash them and carefully iron them myself to make them even somewhat presentable.

I love the employees, but I am disappointed with some of the owner's choices (else this would be 5/5).  It is what it is.  Everyone is friendly and helpful.  Prices are reasonable.  They do a great job, and offer discounts for many groups!  For over 10+ years, Effingham Cleaners has been my go-to fabric cleaning service.

I moved to this dry cleaner for convenience.  At first, things were okay. I typically ask that items are pressed flat,so as not to crease jeans or shorts that did not come with a permanent crease. I think they messed up that request once. No big deal. I picked up a shirt a few weeks ago that was purchased white and is now pink. The first time I brought it the young lady's attention even she said , yeah it's pink. She sId she would tall with the manager. Apparently, that didn't happen so when I picked it up after the first redo, it was still pink. This time a young man helped me. He called someone who said they could try some things and it would be no charge. I picked it up today to find a handwritten note stating that the shirt was never white. Mistakes happen and I understand that.  But I purchased the shirt and I know what color it was. The fact that as a business you decided to not take ownership of your mistake  is annoying.  I will jo longer do business with someone that finds it okay to mess up people's clothes and then blame the customer.

I purchased a leather skirt unsure of cleaning instructions, drop it off to Steamline and the following day Ms. Cathy called me personally from her cellphone to inform me of the risk due to the type of material. I thought it was very kind of her to notify me before making any decisions. What was so great about it instead of trying to get over on making money she advised me on what to do to get the wrinkles out!! She was very patient and helpful. Honestly it made my day bc customer service is not the same.

Let’s get right into it. Took 4 shirts here one white,two dark blue, one black. Turnaround time four days (😕), I didn’t need them til the weekend so I said okay, as I am here for business. This place was also nearest to the hotel.
I said “please no crease, no starch.. please” I got the ticket and left, upon returning total was just above $32 dollars. really? wow okay, then she said “yes because of the starch and extra stuff used” I said “they don’t have starch” she said “ well you have to say that when you drop them off” I said “ I did, I said it twice” she said “okay well it says you wanted starch” I grab the shirts to check them and there is no starch thank God it would of ruined them with it, not to mention unwanted creases. She said okay well let me fix the total. So please if you must leave your clothes here.. read the slip they put on the clothes before leaving because it will ruin your clothes if you don’t want certain things done , and also ask the total right then and there… this also ensures the directions are being done correctly, and you will be charged correctly. I failed to read the reviews of this business. They are known for taking your wallet to the cleaners. Meaning they charge for things not even done, and are too expensive for the turnaround time. Also rude for no reason.. when they show no respect for the dollar, or time. They don’t even dry clean the clothes there a worker said 🧐 Just a heads up. See y’all in the next review wherever I may be 👻😉

Run as fast as you can AWAY from this place!! The manager lacks skills in communication and customer care.  All they want is to take your money and run.  When charging a premium price for a dress ($50+ cleaning) you expect to get quality care.  Not here!  My bridesmaid dress came back with buttons lost and broken and not even an apology from manager.  She did not try to make the situation right.  She actually had audacity to tell me if I found specialty buttons she would not charge me $2.5 to sew back on acting as if she’s doing me a favor for something she broke and lost.  This isn’t just a typical tshirt.  It’s a dress with buttons down the back and 4 we’re missing.  The office girls were nice however the manager lacked any care or concern and acted as if I was the bad guy for questioning why my dress came back ruined.  It could have been a completely different review if she would have at least ACTED like she cared and tried to show some empathy.  They do not stand behind their products and clearly don’t take pride in their work or care about their customers.  Just looking for a fast buck.  If I could give no stars I would!!!

I’m a pretty understanding person.  At the end of the day it’s not even about the buttons…it’s about her rude callous demeanor and how she speaks to customers.  Judging by multiple reviews at both her locations …I’m not the only person who has run into this problem.

I paid extra to maintain manufacturer pleating. However, the manufacturer pleating was replaced with one crease. Allowed for redo but they just added another random crease. Management in Garden City was contacted and informed that I was not satisfied with work performed. Requested refund of additional charge for pleating but refund was refused. Unfortunately, this business does not stand behind their work. If you have a favorite piece of clothing, take it elsewhere.

Poolers Best? Nah, Poolers Worst. My husband dropped off his military uniform for a press before the military ball tonight. Picked it up yesterday and discovered that each seam on the pants has 2 seams. I called this morning to see about bringing them back for a quick repress to be told we don’t do that on Saturday. They apparently send all of their clothing to Richmond Hill and nothing is done on site. I never received an apology or even the slightest indication that they felt bad for doing a poor job. I asked how I could fix it at home and was told to Google it. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Might initiate a chargeback due to faulty product received.

Dropped off two button up’s on a Monday morning. Arrived today to pick them up as scheduled- won’t be ready even by tomorrow all day. Was still charged for the clean, even though alterations (two buttons, one on each shirt) weren’t ever performed… on clean shirts. I’ll head to my conference tomorrow minus two shirts. Do not recommend this place, I will not be back

I brought my son ROTC jacket in to this company praying that they could get rid of the mold that was on it because my AC went out in my house. They said they would do their best and they did above and beyond that they not only got stains out of it and the mold out of it they got the smell out and it looked brand new. Plus to have it dry cleaned was a lot cheaper than me going across Savannah to another cleaner. I will most definitely return to have my things dry cleaned at this company anytime. The lady was helpful respectful she was honest with me about cleaning my son's jacket. And they came through with me like a prayer.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CLOTHING TO THIS PLACE! I brought my black dress in to be dry cleaned on Monday, July 3, 2017. The woman, who I assume to be the owner, told me that because Tuesday, July 4, 2017 is a holiday that the plant that they send their dry cleaning to would be closed, so the earliest they could get my dress back to me is July 6, 2017 by noon. I had planned to leave for a funeral in MIAMI once I retrieved my black dress from them. I get a call at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 saying my dress wasn't ready. This was clearly a breach not only of an oral contract but a written one as well, because she documented that my dress would be returned to me by Thursday, July 6, 2017 at noon. Because they failed to complete their end of the contract, I now must go and purchase another dress. I don't know about you, but I don't have cash to be throwing around for dresses because a BUSINESS failed to come through. When I said I won't be paying full price because you all failed to complete your end of the deal, she said "I can't do that". So now, I have to purchase a dress and also pay her. If she is hurting that badly for business, then I will throw her her little $15 dollar fee for my late dress, that I will have to retrieve upon my return to Pooler. So unprofessional. This place is a joke.

We ordered 10 new military name tapes before moving. I called and spoke to someone to make sure that they actually made name tapes and the lady said they did. When I picked them up the first time the font was incorrect. The lady said they would redo them free of charge, which why wouldn't they? When I picked them up the second time they all looked correct but when I took them out to for use, one of them had the Velcro sewed on backwards!

Avoid this place at all costs.  I dropped off some shirts for dry cleaning and was told it would be $10.50.  When I picked them up the clean & press work was mediocre at best.  Then when I tried to pay with my card they said the minimum charge for a card was $15.00.  Sorry but when you try to scam me I won't be coming back.

I will never do business with company EVER AGAIN. Nice ladies, I never got what I order 4 months later. I am so disappointed because I wanted to support this small business. I kept getting the run around. I feel deceived.

A lot Washer are not working some just shut off while washing and Washers are not putting enough water to actually clean your clothes. I was told to call the owner but automatically voice mail.

Definitely this store needs somebody in front to provide a good service. Too many machines out of service and the store is visible dirty.

First impressions are always good. Wow so clean and so easy to pay using the app. Not to mention right here close to me. You've got a new weekly customer 😊

Definitely the worst cleaner in Pooler.
They couldn't get my collars pressed right & when I told them about it they told me there was nothing they could do to get it right.
I'm missing a shirt & brought them a picture of it but they refused to even look to see if they had it.

I’ve been going here for the better part of 5 years. I have zero complaints, only praises. The owners are very polite and always do a good job in a timely manner. They have the best prices around and I would encourage anyone to give them your business.

Would not recommend this place, if you want to preserve your color clothes or quality on the clothes. I’ve been bringing my clothes here and unfortunately they have ruined one of my color shirts by stripping all the color on the T-shirt and they destroyed the quality of one my pants they have left a small hole and completely faded the color. They did not bring it to my attention at all. I found out once I got home. When I went back to tell them they didn’t understand anything I was saying. Unfortunately it’s kinda difficult to communicate with them. Would not recommend especially if you work hard for your clothes and you care about them

Incredible customer service! Brought a jacket with a loose button last minute that I needed for a funeral and they fixed it on the spot. Their regular/dry cleaning services are excellent too!

Suds Laundromat

Had to stop by and do some laundry while on vacation in Savannah when we found out our hotel did not have a laundry room for guests to use. Found Suds on Google and we stopped in. The staff was so sweet and helpful as we haven’t been in a laundry mat in years. Nice area in town so we were able to leave our clothes while they washed to get some food. Machines were nice and clean and did a good job! Only odd part was you have to get a Suds card which is like a money loaded card to use for the machines. You can use credit, debit or cash to load the cards. Definitely bring cash if you only have to do one load like us, and small bills as the machine doesn’t give you change like if you only need $10 for laundry and you have a $20 bill. If you use card they have a $10 minimum and you won’t get change back for that either. Over all great and convenient experience!

Place is absolutely disgusting and charges so much to wash clothes. Place is like a slum Lord. They don't clean their machines at all nor the place. If you don't care then wash clothes there but if you prefer more cleanliness then stay away.

The cleanest laundry place in Pooler. You do have to get a card that you add money onto to use the machine like if you went to D&B to place games. They also have laundry service. I will be using this place every time I am in town.

First time here.  Candy was friendly and professional.  Note that for drop off there is 12 pound minimum so my 8 pound load was a tad bit pricey at $18 for same day.  They did a great job with my clothes.

Came to pick up my clothes, I dropped off for dry cleaning. At pick I noticed they was dingy and dirty still. The cashier said they would rerun since it’s not all the way cleaned. At pick up this time. They charged me for the rerun, for something they didn’t all the way cleaned the first time. Which they said was free since half cleaned, but  They charged me again,  just for it to properly be cleaned, something they should of did at first. And it’s still dingy BUT WOULDNT LET ME GET MY CLOTHES WITHOUT PAYING A RERUN FEE. They charged me 2x’s twice. Bad customer service.

They have wash and fold , super nice people I use them every week ,,,, they even match the socks fold everything,  pants and shirts on there hangers.   Highly recommended

This is the worst dry cleaners I have ever been too. The Manager (black girl) is so rude and nasty. I called asking about my pants she told me that her customer in front of her is more important then I was on the phon. NO ONE NEEDS TO TAKE THERE CLOTHES THERE. My husband took 4 pair of pants to be hemmed at to length 34, and all we're hemmed to length 36. We called and spoke to a Ms. Cooper, she started yelling and stating that they do not keep record and we just lost $93.00. This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person to deal with the public. She would not allow me to speak with the Manager. We Wii NEVER EVER utilize this establishment again.

Im almost certain the other reviews are paid for. I brought in two suits to be dry cleaned and omg. Neither of them were pressed. Still super wrinkled, unclean. I couldve thrown my suit in a washing machine and got better results. Unreal. DO NOT take nice suits here. Check out the photos below. Shady and dishonest. Lost a customer today! You promised an alteration completed in two weeks. Fast-forward over a month and five phone calls from me zero from you to me about the progress of getting my garment fixed. The claim Check shows the price of 2195. I arrive over a month later after numerous calls to pick up the garment and you charge me $25. This is not how you do good business and keep customers. I wish you the best cause you won’t see me again

Dropped off garments Friday. Was told they’d be done Wednesday. Seems longer than most cleaners I’ve used but ok. Returned Wednesday afternoon, was told they’d be in my 6pm. Returned Thursday afternoon WHEN IM TRYING TO LEAVE TOWN WITH THESE GARMENTS and was told they’re on the truck in Richmond Hill, come back in 3 hours… Had to drive to Richmond Hill in the opposite direction of my travel, on the way out of town to pick up my garments that were promised in Pooler the day before. DONT USE THESE CLEANERS IF YOU HAVE THINGS TO DO AND PLACES TO BE. The time frame for getting your garments done is unreasonable (7 days) and I shouldn’t have to drive to another town to get them. Never again.

Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023 — Arrived a little before 9am. Waited until 9:05am to try to go in. Doors locked; not open. Back to the car with the item I wanted to drop off. Told my husband, “Eff’m if they can’t open on time,” and we left. Irritating, to put it mildly.

We used this cleaners for my husband's uniforms and they did a great job and at a reasonable price. Will return. The lady was also friendly

Left clothes, went to pick them up on Saturday at 2:15. Place was closed though it advertised a 3:00 closure.
