Very pleased with the service from Ad Astra Floreat and West Leederville. Needed a last minute pressing done but had missed the same-day-service collection cut off time at Floreat. Instead of just turning me away as another store did, the staff at Floreat added my job to the system in their store and then called ahead to their West Leederville store and I was able to drop the outfit there and they delivered it back to Floreat for me to pick up a few hours later. Of particular note, I had my baby with me and in addition to kindly opening the doors for me to make it easier to manoeuvre my pram etc, they made sure to let the staff at West Leederville know to expect me so I was able to just drive up to their drive through area and didnt have to take my baby out of the car when I dropped the outfit off. As outgoing renters, we were asked to dry clean some curtains for our property. However, after Ad Astra generously picked these up from our apartment for free (with amazing service), Debbie very kindly refused to clean them on principle, given that the curtains had not been washed for some time/might be damaged during cleaning (which we would obviously be liable for). Debbie then even more generously offered to speak to our landlord's agent re why we should not be asked to clean them.

Furthermore, when picking up the curtains, Debbie did not ask for any payment and folded up our curtains neatly, even during what was obviously a very busy and rushed day (with many, many friendly and obviously happy customers). Collection was also easy due to the drive-through in front of their shop.

We will be going to Ad Astra for all our future dry-cleaning needs, as well as recommending Ad Astra to all of our friends and family.

During my visit, I requested a simple alteration to a triathlon wetsuit, specifically to have the sleeves cut off and the hem trimmed. After the initial quote of $180.00 for the alteration, I expressed my preference for a more cost-effective solution, to which the staff member indicated that cutting only the sleeves would indeed be significantly cheaper.

However, after cutting one sleeve and informing me that completing the full job would cost me $200.00 and the staff member took my wet suit and said that I owed her $80 for cutting ONE sleeve off a wet suit?!!! Which I paid and I felt pressured to pay $80.00 for what was described to me as three minutes of work, including a single measurement and a single cut. She was extremely aggressive, rude.

I have attached photos of the completed work for your reference. . I am disappointed by the experience.

I went to replace a button for a jean, they wanted to charge me $40, more expensive than the pants. I bought the button for 2 dolars in another shop and put it myself in 2 min.

Took my wedding dress there to get dry cleaned. It was completely ruined when I picked it up; torn, frayed and unwearable / sellable. When questioned they said that “this often happens and should be expected”. I quested why they didn’t call me to inform me prior to picking it up and got a blank stare. Still charged me for the dry clean despite this. Would NOT recommend taking anything of value here because aside from the horrific dry cleaning, their customer service was sub par and it was clear they had no care to make up for the damage caused.

I got a dress altered by Matt who did a wonderful job. I don’t live in Perth so I couldn’t get it altered until I arrived, which I needed the dress for a wedding the next day. He got the alterations done without question and did a fantastic job. I cannot recommend him enough and I will definitely be going back there!
