What I thought was going to be a beautiful day quickly turned sour at Stowe Laundry. I’ve been living here 9 years and never experienced anything like this before.

One of the workers started harassing me out of nowhere. I had 5 machines going, and in one I put just 2 towels and a queen comforter. She told me that was “too much.” I explained it was the only thing going into the $8.00 machine, and she finally said, “It will be okay.”

Then, when I went to add detergent, she asked if I measured it. At that point I said, “Ma’am, please stop talking to me. I’ve been doing this for years and I know how to do my laundry.” She came back with, “You’re not following the rules.”

I was so shaken, I had to walk out, call my husband, and calm myself before I could even go back in. When my husband arrived, we went back inside and suddenly she started playing nice with a sweet voice—but not long after, the other side came out again. We ended up standing outside while our clothes washed.

When it was time to move everything to the dryer, she switched back to being sweet and even assisted us. But honestly… too late, lady. You already showed me who you are. Stowe Laundry should not allow their workers to harass loyal customers. After this experience, I don’t think I’ll be going back.

A wonderful place, staff is very respectful, I had a lot of laundry to do one day and I was able to watch the football game on TV in there beautiful. Very clean place.

No detergent or softener available for purchase. So I paid 10 dollars to rinse and dry my clothes, frustrating. But they are the only game in town so...
Was clean and machines were clean and in working order.
Please make sure you have products available for us out of towners who don't carry detergent and softener in our luggage

Came here the day after XMas in the middle of a snowy vacation. Owner was friendly and super helpful when we got a bum card that wouldn't scan. In fact, everyone we met was chill and friendly - obviously ymmv depending on when you go, but we got a great vibe from the place.

The places clean the owner is wonderful. I don't even mind that you have to load money on a card. However, the woman who works here at least the last two times i've been here on wednesday and friday is constantly making me have to get a larger and larger washer for the same amount of laundry.
