Washers sometimes has washer issues..Dryers are excellent..customers are clicky and think they own the place..its unattended so you can get bullied by ones that think you are an outsider..I'm in and out quick! Especially when hardly anyone is there..I'm only there to do my laundry not socialize

If you don't have a washer & dryer its ok. I think price is high but im not used to doing laundry at laundramat

Clean machines, clean building and always quarters available

Prices are OK. A whole line of the front double load washers floods the floor regularly. Two of them haven't been fixed for over a month, at the least. One triple load has a piece of cardboard covering a broken door. And isn't marked out of order. Can still put coins inside. People leave their clothes unattended frequently, so if you come during prime time, you are expected to move somebody else's clothes if they aren't around to do it themselves. Theres only 3 triple load washers, so if you have a weekly triple load, its all about luck. It's rare that their trash can is put into the room for people to throw their drier sheets, old detergent bottles, etc. It's convenient and again... the prices are OK. Have to put vinegar in the pre-wash for most machines to actually clean your clothes 80% of the time. Other than that, I wish the machines would be better maintained.

Love this place. Super simple, in and out, no sewing or laundry services. Coin-op with change machine on site. Limited parking, but everyone is good about not lingering so others can get in and out as well. Definitely worth the 30 min drive every week!

Great Find for Vacation Laundry!

Garden Island Laundromat was a great find for vacation laundry—reliable and super convenient. The washer and dryer worked well, and I loved that they accepted both credit cards and coins. The change machine was spot-on, which made things easy.

My smaller washer was $5.50, and the dryers were just 25¢ for 4 minutes—it took $2 per dryer to get them dry, which seems reasonable and efficient.

Bonus: I walked just two doors down to Market Place Cafe and enjoyed a relaxing breakfast while my laundry ran. Couldn’t ask for a smoother setup. Would definitely use again!

Only a few of the washing machines accepted credit cards as payment, I didn't have cash. A $10 over charge was charged to my credit card for a $5 wash. Three to four minutes were credited for each quarter in the dryers. The change machine was out of order. The bathroom was locked and only available during the presence of an attendant. There was no attendant there while I was there. I believe the vending machine for the laundry soap and fabric softener was also out of order. I won't be returning to this laundromat.

This place sucks!! There's never any dryer sheets in the vending machine, the washers are full of mold & the dryers have crap stuck inside of them. I'm just gonna start going to the place in Boothbay.

Place is just over all Nasty spiders all over the walls and machines. And dryers are way to expensive

we are new to town. this isn’t our normal laundromat. my boyfriend went here just for the day because it’s closer. i was told he was being watched and was immediately yelled at for filling a dryer “too much” which maybe was true complied and used two washers instead. execution was horrible though. he went to leave after putting our clothes in the washers. suddenly our detergent was missing. when he went to ask an attendant all she said was “good luck” followed by a laugh. will not be going back here again. hopefully those who do choose to come here get treated better.

First visit here today as I'm waiting for my new washer install.  Was clean and decent amount of parking, just a tad cramped inside when it gets busy but washers and dryers were clean. Reasonably priced and easy to get in and out if the lot.

I got here every Saturday morning when they open (sometimes on Sundays) Nicole will even open the doors a few minutes early for us “regulars”🤭machines are great, clean, dryers are hot and fast and staff is always friendly and helpful. Even with the Gardiner bridge closed eastbound it is worth my extra drive up and around Augusta to do laundry here.

I used to love this laundromat. It's clean the people are always nice - and those are still true. However, you can't wash your laundry on hot. Ever. You can't even wash it on warm. The setting says it's warm - but the water on both full and rinse are ice cold.
If you put on the hot setting the water doesn't even run water into it.
This problem started pretty close to six months ago - and when I talked to the employee today she said that the hot water issue had been fixed.
But the water running into the washers today is still ice cold. On both fill and rinse.
I counted how many washing machines were running when I was in the laundromat and there were nine running at that time. I mentioned that because the employee had said that if too many people were using hot water then there was less of a supply of hot water.
As I work in an industry where bodily fluids from children get on my clothes - I have to have them sanitized. And as heartbreaking as it is - I think I'm going to have to find a different laundromat than this one because my clothes aren't being sanitized if we're just washing in ice cold water. It's really heartbreaking that after almost a decade I have to find a new laundromat.

I have been going here for years and loved this place I have never had any issues the employees all were awesome till now this new employee first thing put a sign up saying last load at 6:30 witch is ok but I checked the time it closed and it don’t close till 8:00 so she came over and said I an shouting the water off at 6:30 so idk if you know but wanted to tell you. I said I thought u closed at 8 she said we do well we lock the door at 7:58. I said well it don’t take me2 hours to Do a load of laundry it takes 23 mins for the washer to do a full load and the dryer like 35 usually. So idk but I work and can barely make it out here in time to do my laundry now so my business is gone now thanks to this new thing they want to do I’m sure I’m not the only one

Their card readers charge more than what the machine says.  I ran a wash cycle that said $18 and my card was charged $21.  Nowhere is it posted that the price is different for using a card and there was no indication on machine or card reader that I was being charged $21.  SKETCHY!!!!!!!

They Charge for hot water.....then turn the hot water heater off to save money.  Put your hand on the washing machine glass after you pay for hot water....ice cold.....13 dollars a load

We used Mrs. O’s for our move-out clean before listing our house. It was easy to schedule and they did a thorough cleaning. Much better price than the other company we looked at. Mandy and Jade are awesome.

We have had the team of Torrie and Jamie for the last several months. All of our experiences with MRS-O cleaning teams have been great, and the our current team is exceptional. On time, cheerful and efficient, and we always remark on how much is accomplished in the time that they are here. The house always looks beautiful after the visit, and little areas that could be easily missed are not forgotten. Hopefully they will continue to be assigned here, though we have been very satisfied with other service teams over the last two years. Good for MRS-O’s for finding such wonderful staff.

Mandy and Jade are the best!!! We’ve used them to regularly clean our house and they truly do amazing work. My 3 year old also loves them and they’re so kind to him while they work. We look forward to every week they come.

We hired Mrs O’s for Dogsitting’s when we had to go out of town for the weekend. Exceptional! Both Mary and Lauren were communicative, followed our dogs’ schedules to the T and also sent us videos of them playing. Extended unnecessarily their "treatment" of our home and took far longer than necessary to do what could and should have been done immediately, even after I asked, without answer, why this was going the way it was. Of course this ended up with an enormous invoice for a three week process that should have been a week or less. Never really addressed these assertions; simply used the insurance company as a shield. Simply took advantage of my bad situation and milked more time out of this than they should have.

Just days before Christmas and we discovered water in our finished basement.  One call to ServPro in Topsham and my anxiety started to fade.  They were at our house within the hour.  Kind and compassionate to our situation.  The water sucked up, dryers and dehumidifiers in all the right places.  And removal of wet drywall and flooring.  What could have been a situation that would send me running for the hills, but they took care of it all and Christmas with family can resume without a hitch.  THANK YOU!

I am not normally one to write a review, but as this is one of the worst experiences I have had with a contractor I feel it's important that others know as well. I had an emergency service need on fourth of July  for an overflowed sink and although the initial response for the water damage removal and installation of fans was good and the work done professionally, the follow up to do the actual mitigation and check of the work by the local manager was awful. After he called out "sick" the day after fourth of July I was forced to sign a liability waiver to not get charged an extra 4 days of drying equipment rental due to the local manager not being available to do the inspections. I did this no problem as my friend was luckily a home inspector with his own equipment so we were able to do our own inspections. However when I tried to reach back out to schedule the actual follow up the inbox of the manager was full for 2 months and I ended up going with another company because I couldn't get a hold of him. 8 months later and they come back to charge me full price for all services and inspections even though I had to go pay another company as well for the same services. When asked why it took them so long to send the bill they said they had no way to contact me even though they had my email and phone this whole time. I would definitely not recommend Servpro as the local management do not treat their customers with any sort of care or respect.

City waste water backed up into our house and broke a waste pipe, filling our basement with 3 inches of grey water. Servpro showed up early the next day with 3 crewmembers to remove the water and items that were destroyed by the water. They were courteous and responsive to my input on what could stay and what had to go. They arranged a second day to clean and sanitize the entire basement floor of a large home.

I would highly recommend Servpro of Belfast/Camden.

My flooring was removed after water damage by Pete(?)&Cole. They were very efficient and did a great job.

Double Bubble Laundromat (Laundromat Near Me)

No warm or hot water wash.  We used the top loaders and a couple minutes into the wash lifted the lid to put a stray piece of clothing in, the washer was filled with cold water.
FYI When you select the cycle you select the temperature for the wash by pushing a button for hot, warm or cold. The temperature automatically changes when it rinses to cold on these particular washers, there isn't an option to choose the temperature for the rinse.
Not sure if the hot water heater is broken? There is an age-old scam in laundromats where they don't actually have hot water piped to some or all of the machines. Customers never know because the doors on newer machines lock after starting. A telltale sign is your laundry isn't clean out of the washer if you chose hot for the wash.
One of the customers said this happened to them and they reported it to the owner, who responded by saying the buttons for the temperature are for the rinse; this is a blatant, intentional lie and fraud if this is what they responded with.

We were on Vacation and our rental didn’t have a washer and dryer.  Hayleigh to the rescue! She had our laundry done and ready for us in two hours. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

People who run this shop is super nice and if you leave anything behind they take it and hold it for you. My friend left a bag of yarn and they kept it over night in a locked room when they where not there and left a phone number to call if we where looking for it. I just went back when they where open and they gave it back and where super nice. I would recommend this place. They have your best interest in mind

I had a massive amount of laundry needing cleaned and Kandace was an absolute delight. She didn't hesitate to offer th
e big basket for my laundry so I would only need to make one trip. I came back a 2nd day and she was so patient with my son. I will be returning when necessary.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into  Topsham Laundry Center with my bulky items.  I was offered help immediately, and Kandace guided me to the right washers for what I had. I felt safe leaving them unattended.  It was the cleanest laundry center I have ever been in, and that includes the machines.  I’m so happy to have found it.

This laundry used to be clean, we'll lit, had modern functional washers and dryers, and was staffed with friendly helpful attendants. Since Lighthouse's purchase of the Sunshine Center Laundry on Pleasant Street it is no longer any of that. The same goes for the Sunshine Center. We have a local business and have relied on both of these laundries for their wash and fold service. The last several times we have tried to drop off laundry during their normal hours of operation there was no attendant so we washed the laundry ourselves. This was made challenging because several of the washer and dryers were out of service. The machines only took coins or a mobile app, no credit or debit cards. This is a college town with lots of rentals, if this business can't provide this community a reliable service they should sell the business to someone that can. The remaining in town option is Mr Suds. They will have all of my future business or I will go out of town to do our laundry.

What a fiasco at least 12 broken washers. Many dryers not working. The App wasn’t updated so I had to add extra money to get the washers started. The time to wash and dry was significantly less on the machines than the app said.  So prices are going up up and the time is going down down and so many washes and dryer are not working. This leaves me, wondering if the machines are working well enough to get laundry even clean. Very frustrating. I would think the fact that you own seven ( I think) laundromats you could have a maintenance person about to at least try to give your customers a better experience.

I  was here three weeks ago and many of the same machines were out of order then. Poor business practice.
Also machine #11 took my money but wouldn’t start. ($6.00). I put in a request for refund online and I can’t even tell if you received it or not.

Also, the fact that the prices to do laundry are going up many people like myself still prefer the smaller loads - seems like now all you want to provide are much larger washers and dryers - not what all families need!!!  Larger machines more $ less options.

So thankful for Molly or I would have left. She had to deal with many many frustrated people in the 2 hours. I was there.  Also, being nice.  A few people were so frustrated they left. Many customers had problems with machines even accepting the quarters - she was running from customer to customer the entire time I was there while trying to do customers laundry.  Shes a keeper!!!

It’s unbelievably frustrating to spend over $50 to do laundry and be frustrated with sub par machinery and options.

Unless things significantly change by next week I will definitely go to a laundry owned by someone else.

Here we go again. Put all my money in the app. I had to go get cash to get Coin so it cost me double today. Then when I get here there’s no note on the machine, but the pay ranges won’t accept or charge me double. Again, please things aren’t working properly. Don’t allow the pay range until it is.

I miss the previous owners when the attendants were there for years, ALWAYS there and friendly and helpful.  It was clean and all machines functioning.  I started using them 5 years ago: for two years I did it myself, and for the last few have been dropping off my laundry for “wash, dry and fold” service.  Since this past spring the help is spotty, many times there is no attendant on duty. Many machines aren’t working, and most of the chairs for patrons to use have disappeared.The prices have gone from the website advertised $1.95 per pound to $3.00 per pound.  I have tried to drop off many times but never find anyone there.
I ran into the owner one time and commented that there was often no one there: she said “it’s hard to get help-no one wants to work”.  Hmmm. Never seemed to be a problem for the previous owners!

I had 2 sleeping bags and pillows   to wash and found Lighthouse Laundry. We wanted the large washer which needs an app. Molly, who was attending was so helpful and helped us get set up quick without the app. She also advised to not use the dryer for the sleeping bags as they could melt. I appreciated her letting us know. No problem. It was a sunny day for air drying! Everyone was friendly and a customer even help me figure out how to shut the door. One quick large load and onward to our next adventure! Thanks Lighthouse, we will be back!
