Sure Clean Laundry & Dry Cleaning

This was my first visit to this laundromat and I say it will be my last. Their customer relations/appreciation is truly lacking. I went in to clean my clothes and gear, it was a long task since I had been to the beach and I had to clean up the sand. I was stationed at the long folding tables in the back near the bathroom where there are no seats, so I hadn't even sat down the whole time that I was busily cleaning out my backpack and bags. It took a few hours, from 8:30 to 1 pm (I had quite a few bags to throughly clean and things wipe off and sort), but when I finally finished with my stuff and was just finishing up with wiping the table down the manager/owner came towards me and stated in a very boisterous manner, "you can't stay here. She said you've been here all day." He said, "Were you here since the morning?" "I replied, "yes." I arrived at 6:15 AM, the attendant wasn't there yet and you need a card to use the machines but on the machine the slot for a new card is covered with a sign saying 'See attends for a new card.' I was notified by a patron that they come in at 8 AM, so I waited. When she did come in after 8 AM I went to the back counter after she opened up the roll up window and asked for a new card and asked about the posted '$10 bonus when you put $20 on your card' deal and she said you needed to put the $20 on after you get the card which to get a card you have to give $5, $1 for the card and then it's loaded with $4. (So really you need $25 to utilize the deal for new customers. Indeed I'm glad I did not though.) I then put my card in the slot in the wall and decided to add just $5 more to do my wash for the day. He then said, "you can't stay here, you can't stay here!" I replied, "I'm not trying to I'm just cleaning my things." He then looked at me with disdain and walked away after thoroughly embarrassing me in front of the room full of other patrons. I proceeded to put my clothes and bags into the washer then I put my detergent in and turned on the large $6.89 machine. I stood the entire time I was in their laundromat except when I went to use their card entry bathroom 2 hours after 8 AM. There was no indication that I wanted to remain in their facility outside of my intended purpose of cleaning my things as I didn't stop cleaning the entire time, not to sit, not to talk outside of saying hello to neighboring customers, and besides using the bathroom for 3 minutes. I may not have a home here but I am still a human being that paid like all the other customers. I did not smell, I was not rude to others, my appearance was not disheveled and I was in no one's way. I just had a backpack and two bags of things which made me stand out, but I must ask why was there such a need to be so loud and rude? People are people and deserve to be treated with respect unless they otherwise show disrespect to you, so theirs was unwarranted. There is a way to inquire about things and speak to people, their was was not it. I felt truly embarrassed and had feelings of shame as I watched my clothes wash in the machine I couldn't help but silently cry while trying not to be noticed.

I was very excited to try out our new laundromat in Welch West Virginia had to travel an hour to Bluefield to do my laundry and now I can do it close to home. I was very impressed with all the new equipment equipment washer's dryer's all skin list deal being less steel and the cost was not that bad bed I got a 8 load washer with an extra wash for $18.50. While I was checking it out I noticed they have ports for charging your phone or your kids could do their homework while you're doing your laundry. I'll post more later after I've finished washing and drying my laundry. Staff was very attentive to help me get started,showing me how to get and load their cash free laundry cards. So far I'm loving it!

Upon entering the laundry mat i could tell that the place is in need of a DEEP cleaning. On my first visit I spotted a cockroach taking a casual stroll around the place. My second visit all dryers were in use except for one that still had clothes that had been sitting for awhile (which completed its cycle). They have a sign posted “Clothes left in dryer will be removed by attendant if the machine is in need of a customer” I encountered a not so friendly face at the desk but proceeded to ask if the clothes could be removed. In mumbles the lady said she couldn’t help me. Not the best place for laundry.

Lots of equipment and clean building. Drop off staff was friendly and efficient.

They can’t find my dry clean only comforter. The young lady said it would be ready later Saturday. I received a text Saturday evening saying that it was ready. Unfortunately when I stopped in to pick it up this morning it was no where to be found and was not entered in the computer. I’m not happy. 😠. Finally, I have received compensation for it.
