South Side Laundry LLC

A modern well equipped and well run public laundry. They have numerous machines of different sizes and huge efficient dryers. It will cost you around $10 to wash and dry a load. But that load is going into machines with a capacity of at least twice and some of them more than that of your average residential washer. There are not a lot of amenities but the machines are all app capable and you can pay with your phone if you so desire and of course they all still take coin of the realm. All in all a good place to get your clothes clean and to take those rugs and other things that could be destructive to your home washer someplace where you can get them clean.

Pros- I like how early this place is open compared to others. I also like that you can pay with your phone . The app let's you track your washer and dryer times which is nice. The washer took a min to start but overall felt my clothes were pretty clean. The dryer is very cheap compared to prices of other places I've been too. I felt my clothes were pretty dry when done. They also have a ring camera throughout the building. Cons- I'm pretty sure someone was sleeping in here and some random dude walked in off the street to use the bathroom. As a women by herself , I honestly felt kinda uncomfortable here alone based off that fact. I also think it would be nice to have something to wipe out the washers between use of customers. Overall I'll probably come back to this laundry Matt in a pinch but I definitely think they need to up security a little better during the early hrs. I have this place a 7/10.

Every search engine gives different hours of operations for this place. Arrived after 11, washed and dried clothes, walked out to bring soap back to my car, go back to door AND THEY LOCKED ME OUT REMOTELY! My KEYS, laptop, and all of my sons and my clothing are locked inside. Called several times, no answer. Emailed several times NO ANSWER. The sign is still lit that they are open and I’ve now been sitting here staring at my keys and work computer (huge deadline tomorrow) on the other side of the glass. I’ve spent $40 a week doing laundry here for months since my washer broke but they will never receive another penny from me for putting me in this position. This is not an automated set up where their doors lock at closing every night. This was an owner locking the doors remotely and leaving a woman in not the safest part of town stranded without cause or concern. All of these posts about a community vibe with the “new owners and management” is a joke. Hopefully nothing bad happens to me by 5:30 am when they supposedly open. It’s 52 degrees outside and I’m freezing. Feeling that warm and fuzzy community vibe! Awful business practices!

The team at South Side Laundry have completely renovated this laundromat with brand new ExpressWash washers which spin your items out almost twice as fast as the next laundromat in town. They also have some of the most affordable machines, free WiFi, awesome vending machines, and even let you start the machines with your phone! I'd highly suggest this laundromat to anyone needing to do laundry in the Elyria area.

Says open 24/7, but locked me out with all my machines running at 2AM!!!
