Basin Laundry

Lovely little laundromat in Tularosa. It is small, but the machines are all in working order and clean. They have 12 single load washers and four of the big, silver, multi load washers for comforters and other bulk items. They also have fourteen clean, working dryers that are 6 minutes per quarter, which I love, as towels always take longer than everything else to dry and it's great to be able to adjust for time instead of having to pay another 45 minutes. The owner of the place is super friendly and on site intermittently every day the place is open, 7 days a week. If you're in Alamogordo, it is so worth the 15 minute drive to avoid either of the run down busy bee locations. I will mention, pet items are prohibited here, so you'll have to look elsewhere to launder any pet bedding, but that is pretty standard for most public laundromats.

This place is very well kept. The owner Rudy is great and enjoys what he does! I have been traveling from Alamogordo just to do laundry here as the laundry mats in Alamo are mostly ran down and not kept up with.

Older laundromat, but very clean. This is your alternative to the Busy Bee Laundromats in Alamogordo. The washers look like they are fairly new. The dryers may be a little older but they all work! Price for a load of wash is $2.50. Dryers are 25 cents for I am guessing 6 to 8 minutes.

Nice, clean and inexpensive laundromat with 12 washers and open on Sunday. Wash was $2.75/load. Just be sure to get there before noon b/c shortly after 12 all the machines were full.

Great experience! This laundromat was just what I needed. It was clean, well organized and safe feeling. The top loading washers were $2.75 a load, and the big dryers were 25¢ for 6 min. The washers took 30 min, and I dried 2 loads in one dryer for 42 min and they were plenty dry. The dryers are HOT HOT HOT! When I was folding my clothes, items were so hot (in a good way). And when I got back home, the clothes were still warm! Very impressive. There are bathrooms for customers, and a trash can outside. No pets inside. One thing to consider is that the parking lot is small. Maybe like 4 parking spots that you have to back out into the highway to exit. Not a problem, but it was tight. Otherwise this place is worth the drive from Alamogordo.
