Belvidere Maytag Laundry

I first started going here about a year ago. It has been fine all along.  Not too busy, not noisy with kids out of control etc... I have experienced this in the other one in town...However, as time has  marched on I have noticed the machines, the floors and everything seems to be neglected.  Gum wrappers, dryer sheets, lint clumps all of it laying all over the floor.   The machines should be cleaned more often.  When you open the lid, or lift the lid on the larger ones there is always tons of grime and hair from prior usage. I have not had that experience anywhere else.  I know its not easy to maintain a facility where many users come and go but its really icky to me if you go to put your clothes in and share other peoples grime falling in the machine.  Also if someone uses powder soap you can guarantee your clothes will have white streaks all over them... I have not had any problems with the staff. The dark haired lady is super nice .... just dont be rude to her as I have seen others do....

Overall a good experience but one of their dryers specifically the white dryer #4; the buttons will not work and took a dollar from me. Then they don’t have anyone managing the counter in case this happens. So just keep in mind that if something like this does happen to you the likely hood of you being helped out is not happening.  (Was helped out and problem was with the safety door on the bottom left. It has a safety switch and if it does happen again just move the little box to the right and it’ll be working again )

Lots of variety in sizes of washing machines. Good prices for being 60lb washers. Attendant was very kind and informative.

Worse laundromat, stay away form this place. Went there last week to wash white linens and used the $8.75 washers and the some of the $6.75 front loaders. I  spent  about $60 and and still had about 8 more other loads but when the fist round of loads came out with food stains and I asked one of the employee there if the washers use hot water because none of the foods stains came off. She said she was the manager and would check the water heater in the back to see if something was off . She come back saying because of the wind the pilot of the water heater turned off and would be another 20 plus minutes to gets up water. I went and used other washers and noticed the same thing no hot water. I asked her if I could get have or refund because at this point I don’t want to put the other dirty linens and wanted to go take them somewhere else. She said as a manager  she couldn’t give me a refund but would ask the owner but would take couple days to hear back from him. I called two days later and she said owner was on vacation and  didn’t know when he was coming back. After a week I called to follow up and she said they won’t give me a refund.  She must be doing the owner some good  blow job to have her as a manager and not see how nasty and dirty this place is. For the amount you have to pay for these washers that place should be more clean and have a manager that can handle customers complains and not use her manager position a entitlement.

This place is very nice. Not too expensive, clean, friendly and not too crowded when I go. I like that they have many washers and dryers and they hardly ever have any machines that aren't working  I like this laundromat over the other Belvidere laundromats by far!

I wish I could give them 0 stars and still be able to write a review. This place used to be really nice and clean. It's gone WAY downhill in the last few years. Machines a regularly broken down. Touch screen buttons are broken in. Nothing is maintained and there is seldom someone on duty to help out. Sad.

One of the machines was broken, and when I let the owner know, they were rude and basically said it wasn't their problem. There was no effort to help or even show concern. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers.

when we went to get our laundry from the dryer out not only wasnt finished but the dryer was open and we are missing quite a few clothing items as well as our whole queen comforter and sheet set.

Big machines, clean place. Sort of peaceful in the morning. Idk about the other review they got because we didn’t go in the bathrooms but the actual inside was nice
