I was told that the repair of my shirt had to be repaired by hand which I was very happy about because the shirt was very expensive and I had not worn it yet. I didn’t have me glasses with me when I picked my items up so I couldn’t see the details of the stitching. It looks as if they just sewed everything in the same direction which made the pattern not line up. First they should have isolated and repaired the straight line design because the design is thicker there the stitching wouldn’t have been so noticeable and the line would’ve been straight. For the next section instead of stitching horizontal it should’ve been stitched vertically because that’s the way the lines are going on the shirt in that section. Which was done on a different hole and you can barely tell a repair was done. Also I hand make leather accessories in which I sew by hand so i know a bit about sewing. My shirt is 100% silk which isn’t my specialty. I also had a white sweatshirt that they said they couldn’t get the stain out of which I could see when i picked it up. But when i got home i saw another stain as well that was a little lighter. I paid almost $50.00 for a badly repaired shirt and a stained sweatshirt.

They pick up promptly, always let me know the have arrived.  And return my dry cleaned clothes in perfect condition, no charge!!  And I live in Carroll county.

I brought them a nice dress shirt that I wanted to be dry cleaned. There was a nice glossy black button on the front of the shirt with a with a silver crest of the front and I asked them if they were able to clean it without damaging it. They ensured me that it would be no issue. However, when I come to pick it up, I noticed that the button is missing and has instead been replaced with a cheap black button that is not the original or even match the other buttons. They didn’t even notify me of the change and likely had hoped that I wouldn’t notice the difference. I am very disappointed with the service and I would not come here if you have any expensive or valuable clothes that you would like to be cleaned.

I brought them five ties that I need for my wedding that had creases left over from the manufacturing process. I had started to steam them myself and was making progress but it was slow going so I decided to get professional help. I chose this place because of the really good reviews. Unfortunately >$40 later my ties are in worse shape then they were when I brought them in with new and worse creases on most of the ties. I spent the morning trying to steam them again but the new creases are much harder to remove. I think I’m just going to have to buy new ones. If they couldn’t help me they shouldn’t have accepted the job or they should’ve noticed the first one was bad and not continued. Instead they added more stress to my life and took my money for it. I won’t be back.

Prices not posted on website or in store.  Now I know why... Over $55 for 4 garments, which took 5 days.  And they texted me 5 times when they said that they would just text me to let me know my garments were ready for pick-up.  Rip-off.

Best dry cleaner in the area. They do a great job and they also are great at doing basic tailoring. They aren't the cheapest but I think they have better service than others around.

Hands down, the best dry cleaner I’ve ever used!
They always have my cleaning  ready the minute I walk-in. They can repair anything and do excellent work. The cost is added up on the ticket before they start the work. They are professional and reliable. And have remained open since the beginning of the pandemic even though very slow business . Plus they donated elastic to me to make masks when everything was shuttered. KUDOS to Rainbow and all of their wonderful employees. They’re the BEST. Don’t believe anything negative you may read from someone who was having a bad day. Not to forget, I brought a bunch of clothes in when I lost weight to be taken and WOW what wonderful tailors they are!❤️❤️❤️

What a disaster. I left a dress and jacket for a minor alteration and to have it hand washed and pressed. I was told it would be nine days. I stopped in a day before it was due to be ready because I was in the area. First, they told me it wasn’t ready since it still needed to be pressed. They assured me it had been altered and cleaned, that all remaining to be done was pressing and it would be ready on the due date. When I returned the next day, they said first that they couldn’t find it. They insisted it was done completely. Then I insisted they find it as it was to be worn for a wedding and I had little time left. They asked me to return in several hours. I told them I wanted the dress. Suddenly, they knew right where it was. Nothing had been done-the alterations, the washing, the pressing. They then said they would do it all in two hours and that I should return in several hours. The clerk and the tailor chattered in Chinese in front of me-back and forth, pointing at the dress and me. I refused and left with the dress. I got a call from the alleged owner several hours later. She lied to me several times more, changing the story repeatedly about what had happened. I wish I could leave ZERO stars. I cannot stress enough not to use Rainbow Cleaners on Church Lane in Cockeysville.

Sue is a TERRIBLE person.
I am a soon to be bride and my wedding dress needs to be altered. I called a few bridal stores to see if they could accommodate me and they were all busy but Gamberdellas in Towson recommended Sue by name so I decided to go to her. She put the pins in the hem and the sides that needed to come in and she asked me if I wanted to know a price before we proceed. I was assuming it would be at very most $400 because I know multiple brides that have had alterations don't in the Baltimore area all around $250. Sue looked at my dress for a few minutes and she said it would run $900 or more!! For a hem, sides taken in and a bustle! I immediately started crying (wedding is 1 month away and I have a million things to stress about) I told her the dress only cost me $850! She said I would have to go somewhere else. I walked out of the store in tears and made a few calls and my hubby to be told me he would pay for it if that's what it costs. So I got myself together and went back in and told her that if she thinks that is a fair price I would like to have her do my dress. She didn't even look at me and she just said "no". I was in shock and started crying again and I said, "what do you mean no?" I continued to literally beg her to do my dress because for some reason, I thought she was my only option with the wedding only 1 month away, and she continued to turn me down. What kind of a terrible person can look at someone crying and begging them to do a service and just say no to them. Sue had no emotion and she is a terrible person. I will tell everyone I know to NEVER get anything cleaned or altered here. Also, on a side note, I found another bridal store to do my dress for $275 for everything including sewing the belt on (which Sue said would be extra on top of the 900). Ridiculously overpriced and TERRIBLE service.

I rarely write reviews, good or bad but thought this establishment warranted a BUYER BEWARE!  I referred my sister- in-law to Sue for alterations as she had been recommended to me by an upscale boutique in Baltimore.  My sister-in-law took her evening gown in for alterations and was quoted a "not to exceed" price of $200.   When she arrived for her fitting, the tailoring was so poor, they apologized and told her they would fix it and to come back the following week.  When she arrived the next week, they pulled the dress out and realized no one had worked on it and told her to come back the next day.  My sister in law took it all in stride until she showed up to pick up her dress and was charged $450!!!!!  She explained that was incorrect and was able to produce the ITEMIZED estimate Rainbow originally provided with "less than $200" clearly written on the pick up ticket.  When she produced the ticket, the clerk accused her of writing that on there herself!!!!  Rainbow has some very shady business practices - I would use extreme caution if you go there.
