I had two dresses altered—one was a bridesmaid dress and the other was a golf dress. Let’s just say both dresses turned out perfectly & fit me perfectly. The prices were very affordable and reasonable compared to most alterations I’ve seen in the area. Since I had two dresses that needed to be done, it took about a week, but I’ve seen people say it was done much faster if you only had one. I’ll definitely be using them again when I need another alteration.

Needed an alteration on a formal dress (hem at length, and stitch on side), and let’s just say, they were quick like lightning! Dropped it off Tuesday, it was ready by Thursday. Price was super affordable too compared to CHS alteration pricing. Will definitely return for both alterations, and dry cleaning services! Great service!

Been using them for a couple years now and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything comes back in a timely manner and looks great even when I bring in things with stains. I bring all my comforters to be washed here too, which is awesome. They are also able to do same day and next day service, which has come in handy a couple times when I’ve been in a pinch. I’ve recently started going to The WashTub Laundry, and it’s easily the best laundromat I’ve ever been to. The ladies who work there — especially Sherry and Dee (hope I spelled that right!) — are always so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Sherry even remembered me a week later when I came back for towels I’d left behind—she kept them safe for me because she didn't have my phone number. Truly thoughtful!

The space itself is spotless and full of life, with beautiful plants all around that clearly get a lot of love and attention. It gives the whole place such a warm, homey feeling that makes doing laundry something I actually look forward to.

These ladies make this laundromat feel more like a community than a chore. I’m so grateful I found this place — it’s clean, comfortable, and the customer service is truly exceptional.

Went into West Ashley to do laundry, and the place was packed and people hollering and being loud. I ain’t got time for that nonsense.
Decided to go elsewhere and it was Washtub. From the outside, not much to look at, but I live on the road and my last time I did laundry was in Memphis, this had to be better.
To my surprise, the place is clean, machines are in good shape, families here doing their laundry. Ms. Sherie is working and she listen to your stories or give you life advice.

Today was the first time I have been to the Washtub Laundry mat in years. Wow was I surprised 😮,  it was clean, all washers and dryers and money machines worked. The biggest surprise was a young lady by the name of Sherry, she actually welcomed me. She was very helpful, she walked me through how the machines worked where to put the detergent,  about how long it would take to wash and dry my bed spread and towels,  told me how to get money to use the coin machine, she didn't miss a step and on top of all that professional personality,  she was so personal.  It was like talking to an old friend.  If you haven't been to the Washpot lately you should really try it. I thought I was going to be in a dirty laundry mat for hours but it was a great day. I have used Charlestion Cleaners since they opened, probally more than 20 years now.  They have always done a wonderfull job with cleaning & alterations.  Never once have I had an issue! The owners are great & as well as the ladies working the front counter.

This is a horrible cleaning service! They have ruined my St John sweater by destroying the buttons and tried to give me my sweater back with cheap plastic buttons with reynolds  wrap foil wrapped around it and yelled at me when I tried to tell them what they did!
I gave them another chance after they finally offered to give me a credit for half them amount the sweater cost me and they destroys my Veronica Beard white linen shorts  that I only wore once! It came back with wine stains on it and the hem on it was completely destroyed! The shorts are destroyed!!
These people are rude and DO NOT take responsibility for anything they do to your clothes! Do NOT use them!

They cannot remove simple basic food stains. Brought in a shirt, pointed out stain, came back with same stains still there. It looked like they didn’t even try. The pressing was also very poor with wrinkles on the front. Would not recommend.

The best way to judged a business is how they treat their customers. I dropped off a new pottery barn comforter for them to wash. This was not my first time dropping off a comforter. I dropped the comforter off with a few stains and no smell. My sister got me this comforter for my birthday 2 months back. My pup tends to run over it, so some stains.

Came back, and it smelled like a shoe and mildewy because they didn't dry it out. I took it home and couldn't even sleep with it because it was so bad. The manager told me it was because it wasn't dried out. They attempted to wash it three more times. I came back two times to get the smell out. The smell was still there. The lady up front was vulgar about it. When I returned barely could understand her accent, somewhat blamed me for my comforter when they told me it was their fault the first time and I knew it was on them because it wasn't a old comforter.

Offered no refund. They just told me there was nothing they could do. I do plan to follow up and review every site to let people know. Note: this is not my first time using them. I have been going for over a year to wash comforters. My favorite location closed in West Ashley, so I had to come here. This is not the first time I questioned the quality of my wash, but it's the first time it was noticeable. All my comforters before smelled good--worst service. NEVER GOING BACK!

On June 21, I dropped off a dress to get alterations. Today is July 29 and I have yet to receive my dress back. I have been told several occasions either via phone, in person or via text that it is not back from cleaning (they now have to clean prior to doing alterations) or it is with alterations or I promise I would have it by Friday (7/25) and nothing. All I want is my dress back or the value I paid for it. I never wore the dress. I am frustrated and highly upset how this matter is being handled. An employee gave me her # so I could text her a picture of the dress. She has been communicating very professionally until now - since I asked for reimbursement. No need to get uptight now. Y'all have my property and wont return it. All this could have been resolved by returning what I have been asking for. Sign, still waiting on dress or reimbursement.

Had suit and dress shirt to be cleaned and heavy starch on the shirt. I requested arms of the shirt with creases. That didn't happen. This place has become worse throughout the years. Not going back to these idiots.

When I dropped my clothes I told them I wanted to remove a stain on a blazer and they took the clothes. Stains were not removed and they forced us to pay. Their behavior is very bad they even didn't say sorry and were rude.

Do NOT come here.    I brought in a black suit jacket, and they returned it with a huge mark on the front and simply acted like it was that way when I turned it in.     I took it to another cleaners who mentioned that it was a burn mark where they obviously put an iron or something on it that wasn’t meant for a suit.     I got this suit for my wedding 9 years ago and only wore it to weddings before taking it straight to the cleaners, so I was suspicious when they acted like the “mark” was there to begin with.
