Absolutely the best laundromat on the planet. They use fragrance-free detergent, they have the fastest dryers I've ever seen, and they're always here to help. The best people the best machines the best prices - just the best.

I found myself in need to do laundry and no time to do it.  Capitol City Laundromat offers laundry service.  I was told a 24 to 48 hour turn around, but mine was done in about 6 hours.  It cost less than I thought and my clothes were neatly folded and packaged when I picked them up.  If I were in the Montpelier area, this would be my regular go to.

Having been to many laundromats, this one is by far the best I've ever used. Always an attendant there if you need anything, always clean, and the fastest machines I've used. Less than an hour to get your laundry washed and dried which is awesome. The attendants are very nice as well. Usually there aren't too many people and you don't have to wait for a machine.

They are great. We work with them regularly to help with bulk laundry cleaning. They always have our order cleaned prior to the agreed upon time and they communicate very well around our cleaning order.

Great newer machines and friendly staff. Prices are reasonably will be going here again.  Also the punch card is worth it!

I have been using this laundromat for over 40 yrs and my fiance and I went to do our laundry today. Why'll we were there spending over $50 on laundry my fiance had her monthly issue and needed to use the bathroom. Well we were told there's NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS!!! We explained we were customers not the public but we were told that NO ONE IS Allowed to use there restroom!!! No Exceptions!!! I didn't mind telling them we would never be back for anything!!! To be at a laundromat for 2-3 hours without a restroom isnt as hard on the men as it is for a woman or my fiance. For them to not let her use the bathroom and her to have an accident out in public is unnecessary. They can look at someone and know if there being honest or not. Plus our clothes smell burnt.we used dryer sheets and some awesome laundry soap and they smell burnt!!! I will never go there again and I don't recommend anyone else doing it either. There's a better laundry mat on Elm Street.

Credit card machine didn’t work so I had to use coins which isn’t a big deal except when I looked at my bank balance later that day I saw that I was charged a total of 7 TIMES for $5 apiece! Even more disconcerting was the fact that the cost of the load should have only been $2.75.

Normally I can shrug off machine error. These things happen, but when I went down there to tell the staff about it the woman working there was so unbelievably rude to me that I felt I had to warn other people to stay away. Looking over the other reviews I see that this is not the first time something like this has happened.

Place is run down and dirty. It was better before the new owners took over. It also doubles as the laundry for the Capital Plaza Hotel (same new owners).

No bathroom for customers sitting here waiting on laundry? Seriously? All the washers get closed after use, so of course they are teaming with mildew. On the "plus" side, there is plenty of loud and inescapable entertainment with the owner or employee on the phone all morning with all their trashy drama. What a dump. If you don't have to go here, go anywhere else

My suits always come back as expected and well pressed. Lady is nice, and responsive on the phone. Wish there were options to reduce all the plastic and hanger waste, and a bit on the higher price end, but perhaps this is the nature of dry cleaning.  I do think you can return the hangers.

I needed to clean an  jacket with very expensive real pearl buttons. I called ahead to make sure that they were safe to clean. I was told that they would be fine. When I got my jacket back it wasn't particularly nicely pressed, and almost all of the buttons were either badly chipped or broken. I called the next day, and was told that I'd need to speak to the manager. It took two more days to get in touch with her. I was told that I should have left a message. (I told her that she should have trained her staff.) She offered to have her seamstress replace the buttons, but was unable to guarantee that the replacement buttons would be the same quality as the broken buttons. I told her that I'd already ordered replacement buttons from an upscale tailoring company and asked that they reimburse me for them. All she "was able to do" was to put a credit on my account for the price of the cleaning. She didn't even have the courtesy to put the refund on my credit card. (After nearly destroying my jacket she expects me to use her service again? Maybe for a basic shirt because I have a credit.) I ended up paying a fair bit of money to fix their mistake and was treated as if their mistake was my fault. She even laughed about the next time I have my jacket cleaned I'll need to remove the buttons. Witch, I don't think your rudeness or incompetence is funny at all.

Any decent cleaner will know if any buttons or trims can't be cleaned and will remove them for you, and reattach them after the item is cleaned. If a reputable cleaner makes a mistake they'll own up to it and do whatever it takes to fix the article of clothing so that it's like new. At the prices they charge that's about the level of service they should be providing. This business is garbage.

I dropped off two military dress uniforms. I received both uniforms back with an extensive amount of damage to the sleeve stitching. Go elsewhere if you don't want your items to get jacked up.
