We being our 7 and 8 year old's laundry here for drop-off cleaning and we are SO IMORESSED. I cannot recommend this service highly enough. Good enough for the price that they just wash, but they fold so nicely. The underwear are folded like origami envelopes so little kids can take them out of the bag and put them away without coming unfolded. The folks behind the counter are so kind and gentle. I felt very uncomfortable the first time since it seems rude to hand someone piles of dirty laundry, but they completely put me at ease. We discovered our 12 year old had been hoarding dirty laundry in her room instead of washing at home, so we took it in. Turned out to be 80 pounds of laundry which they washed with vinegar and oxiclean to eliminate odors. It would have taken us a month to get it all clean at home with both parents working and our own laundry to do. In October of 2025, it was $150 for them to wash, dry, and FOLD 80 lbs of laundry. unbelievable value. I know this is getting long and I sound like a plant at this point but I swear im just an incredibly grateful mom who has been insanely impressed by this service. The laundromat area is VERY clean as well, and their clientele is the kind of folks who run to hold the door for you when they see you with a big basket on the way in/out. It's seriously such a value to our community and if you've been on the fence, DO IT. try it once and I swear you'll never look back.

It's a very clean location. Great AC if its hot and free dryers after a wash! You have to get a reloadable card to use the machines (washers, dryers, and even vending machines if you get hungry or forgot your laundry necessities). Usually very peaceful.

I was on vacation from Colorado. I always use a laundry service. Needed help to get set up.  Your literature should tell folks the  location tracking on their phone must be turned on to use the App.  I also could not pay my bill through the App either. I would say the IT portion of the business needs a little work.  Service overall was excellent.  Very satisfied. Heather at the Martinsburg office was extremely helpful.  I had specific questions about how things work.  She answered every one and helped me navigate through the payment portion that wasn’t working for me.  Very professional!

This is my preferred laundromat in the Martinsburg area. It is not perfect, but it is clean. If you come to wash on the weekend you may find all machines occupied. I have seen people washing things like doormats so you may find debris in the washers. The few people that come here usually have large loads. It is also on the side of a very large convenience store, and a Subway.

When my family and I first moved to WV this past September, I went to the Whale Of A Wash location in Martinsburg and didn't have the greatest experience. I left a review and management responded quickly regarding the steps they were going to take to correct certain things. I've since been going to this Whale Of A Wash location due to it being 24 hours. I have to say, they have won me over as a customer. A couple of weeks ago their game machine ate $10 that I put in it. I called the listed service number around 9pm. A kind woman called me early the next morning. Apologized and said she would send me a refund. Less than a week later, I received a $10 check in the mail as promised. As someone that tends to tidy up (putting all the carts in one spot, picking up trash, etc.) I would make one recommendation. Maybe a spray bottle with some kind of all purpose cleaner on the wall with the other cleaning items? There have been a couple of times that I have had to avoid certain folding tables due to spilled drinks, crumbs, etc. I can't speak for anyone except myself. But I wouldn't mind wiping down the folding tables I use when I am finished with them. Given that not everyone would be willing to do that, at least we would be able to clean up messes we see so all tables are usable.

Whale of a Wash has won me over. It is my "go to" laundromat. If anyone ever asked for a laundromat recommendation, I would definitely suggest Whale of a Wash.

When I arrived underwear was on top of the machines and trash was spread across the place. People showed up to clean shortly after but the place still felt gross. The biggest issue for me is when I went to put clothes in the washing machine I had to pull out trash and several cigarette butts. I do not smoke and it was the only machine available. To me this was disgusting. After drying my clothes and getting them home they were not washed well and had a really bad odor to them. I would definitely not under any circumstance use this place again. It just feels gross and clothes don't smell clean afterwards.

This laundromat is convenient due to the proximity of the gas station and subway, if that's your thing. It is filthy all the time though. The folding tables and chairs are filthy and pushed against the walls, instead of in the open space where they can be utilized. The chairs are broken and have sharp edges. It is evident that no money is going back into the place, typical of slumlords. The machines work via app or coin which is convenient. I'm sure there are better laundromats where you can spend your money.

Generally if I'm going to a Laundry mat it's because I'm in a situation where I don't have a washer and dryer. That in it's self is enough to put anyone in a bad mood. But this facility helps. It is very clean. The equipment is spot on. Prices are reasonable and I'm in and out pretty quick.

Do not use this location for any uniform needs. They are incapable of centering patches, sewing patches on straight, or even sewing in a straight line. I have had tailors in Central Asia sew patches on perfectly. I don't know why this US location has so many issues performing one of its core functions. Take your business and hard earned dollars elsewhere.

THEY STEAL YOUR CLOTHES!!! I went in to get my husband's shirts, he had 26 pieces and we only received 20 pieces back. When picking up his clothes, I noticed another pack of shirts hanging up right next to the ones she she picked and handed to me. I told her that other pack was ours too and she said it wasn't. I know what my husband's clothes look like! I sent my husband up there to get his clothes and the lady said we were lying! Half of the clothes we did recieve were wrinkled. $156 is what we paid for this horrible service.

I was worried they wouldn't be ready in two days, but they were. A suit and a dress (5 pieces) was $43 just to be pressed. But they were well done, no issues.

Town center cleaners did a great job cleaning my suits. The kind lady working the front counter is very welcoming and greets you with a smile. I like my pant creases to be perfect and I can tell their staff do too because the creases were sharp! The pants were also hung with care as to not cause wrinkles which is important. I look forward to bringing them more suits and garments in the future.

I gave one star for quality of alterations. However, customer service is extremely poor! I had a bridesmaid dress altered but had to go back 4 times before it was ready as promised! The seamstress didn't follow directions so when I went to pick up my dress it wasn't finished. She told me to pick it up a few days later and it would be finished; I showed up on agreed date and got an excuse that the computer system was down and the alterations had not been complete --- not sure what the computer system has to do with alterations, but irregardless it wasn't finished as promised. So then the lady tells me to come back tomorrow (the day before the wedding) at "any time" to pick it up. I kept my cool at this point. I showed up the next day as agreed to find out that it was STILL not done and she gives me excuses as to why she hadn't had time to do it. I told her I would just take it as is since the wedding was the following day and I didn't have time to keep running back and forth. She assured me she would have it done in 30 minutes so I have her the benefit of the doubt and showed up an hour later to a FINALLY finished dress! It was done correctly after this fiasco, however she still charged me $132 (full price) despite not having the dress done on three occasions! I think that price is absolutely ridiculous anyway, but I was in a bind and the location was convenient for me so I accepted it. I rarely write reviews, but I'm so upset with this situation, poor customer service, and audacity of the seamstress to still charge me so much despite all the trouble I went through. I will NEVER use this business again! I'd rather drive farther than be treated this way!

I'm writing this post the same evening that I did laundry at this business. If I could have rated it zero stars, I would have. The first and most important reason I will never return there is their washers. I used 3 separate washers and realized (unfortunately) when I was removing my clothes from them they all three smelled horrendous. If you've ever smelled a funky washing machine, you know the exact smell I am talking about. Times it by 5, and that's how their washers smell. The other reason was partially a me problem. But it was how it was handled. I arrived at 6pm. There is a sign on the door that says to wash your last load by 8:15 so they can be dry by 9. My last load went in the dryer at 7:45. A solid half hour before their recommended time. I used 4 dryers in hopes that loading them light would help them dry fast. Nope. 9:00 rolls around and I still had about a half a basket of clothes to fold. I was clearly standing there folding laundry. This dude with keys walks in, doesn't say a single word to me and shuts the lights off. Straight up left me with two tables full of folded clothes in the dark. So I stood there in the dark getting my clothes bagged up. He still never spoke a word to me and I left at 9:15. There are ways to handle business, and this isn't it. It was rude and unprofessional. I certainly didn't feel like my business was appreciated or like I was welcome there. Never again.

Descent laundromat, has everything you need and they keep it clean.  Just doesn't feel very safe.

I enjoy doing my laundry here. It is close to my house and i like that they now have an app you can use to pay. It's right next to a family dollar and a couple restaurants so there's always something to pass time when waiting for your clothes.

Considering the reviews prior to coming…I tried it out myself and this business is great! Had some work clothes cleaned and pressed - completed on time and as promised and turned out awesome. Also had 12 pairs of pants tapered and am very happy with how they turned out. Highly recommend this business as it is the only one in the area

Took 3 garments in to have Patches sewn on, was quoted $5 per patch, after I got home I received a call from the young lady that took my garments saying that they couldn't complete the job and I needed to come back and pick up my garments.  This is the kind of unprofessionalism that has taken hold in WV buisness' that I will never understand. Advertise yourself as a place that does alterations only to turn down paying customers. I have a  1 star rating, if 0 was possible I would have gave that.

If you are searching for a dry cleaner, this is definitely not your place!  Look at all these reviews there is a good chance you will never get your clothes/items back.
I dropped off 11 of my husband’s dress shirts and pants to be dry cleaned, they LOST all of them!!
She offered us to search the place for the clothes, the place is disorganized. In the time we were there a different customer’s clothes couldn’t be found either.
The reimbursement (it is printed on the back of the receipt)  will not cover for 11 new dress shirts and pants!
