My mom and I dropped off my wedding dress and her mother-of-the-bride dress to be steamed and pressed for my July wedding. I was charged $95 for my dress alone, and we made sure to lay both dresses flat and handle them carefully during transport to avoid any wrinkles.

When we took the dresses out of the bag on my wedding day, it was immediately clear that they hadn’t even been touched. They were just as wrinkled as when we dropped them off. By that point, it was too late to do anything about it, which was incredibly frustrating and stressful on such an important day.

When my mom went back to address the issue, the employee she spoke with was extremely rude and even threw a $20 bill at her like that would somehow make up for their mistake. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking.

We expected a simple service to be done correctly and were met with poor quality, zero accountability, and disrespectful treatment. I would not recommend this business to anyone, especially for something as important as a wedding.

Yes, this order was in July, as noted in my original review. It was for my wedding, which is exactly why the experience stood out and why I wanted to share it, even months after everything has settled down. Both dresses were transported carefully, laid flat, and taken out immediately upon arrival at the venue that same day. Despite that, they were just as wrinkled as when we dropped them off. My mom went back shortly after the wedding, not months later as suggested, and was met with rude behavior. It’s disappointing to see the business deflect rather than take accountability. Our only mistake was trusting the work had been done and not checking before leaving. I truly wish the situation had been handled with more care and professionalism.

Harbour Cleaners did such a great job with the tuxedo alternations for my wedding. My tuxedo came out looking immaculate! Harbour Cleaners was reasonably priced and had a quick turnaround. I would highly recommend if looking for a place to get alternations done.

After reading all the great reviews, I brought in two of my wife's white dresses to be cleaned—one of them was actually her second dress from our wedding reception a few years ago. Both dresses had very noticeable stains, likely makeup or something that spilled at some point, and they had been sitting in the closet for quite a while without anyone realizing. I wasn’t sure if the stains could be removed completely, but this cleaners exceeded all expectations. They managed to remove every single stain, and now the dresses look absolutely brand new. Incredible service—I highly recommend them!

She did a wonderful job on hemming my bridesmaid dress with super short notice!! Very impressed and will be returning in the future! Highly recommend!

I was told my dress would be hemmed and ready for pick up on Wednesday by 3pm. I came Thursday evening to pick it up. They had completely forgotten to hem my dress. I expressed my disappointment politely and said I needed it as soon as possible. The dress was ready Friday at 11am. There was no apology, accountability or offer of a discount.

The actual hem looks good, but would not trust them with any future needs. Also, price was double what I’ve paid at other locations.

Avoid.  I took (3) white dress shirts in to be clean and pressed and asked for a button to be added to (2) of the shirts sleeve.  The counter attendant and I talked in depth about the button on the sleeve and she marked it with a safety pin.  I live an hour away, so I return about 2 weeks later.  No buttons were added and all (3) shirts were covered in black lint and hairs.  Completely — the back, front and sleeves, no exaggeration.  I respectfully said that was unacceptable and that I shouldn’t have to take shirts I just got dry cleaned home and lint roll them.  She grabs a lint roller.  Now, I’m standing in this dry cleaner lint rolling the shirts I just had dry cleaned.  Again, I say I don’t feel comfortable paying for this.  She says sorry no manager on duty and I can’t do a discount.  She finally knocked a dollar off and I paid $10 to be on my way.  Never in my life…

Great job on dry cleaning and cleaning stains out of an older goose down blanket that had been passed down from parents. Got mud stains out of dress shorts that we had tried ourselves a few times and we’re going to throw them out. $5 for cleaning the shorts

Took a “brand new”shawl there to be cleaned at the end of October.  Picked up on 11-2 and when I tried it on at home 2 of the hooks were broken off.  Took it back to get fixed.  Cant even get the owner to call me.  Been back 2 times and he is not there.  Employee is  to saying I broke the hooks.  I still had the tags on the jacket!  Trying to get it refreshed to wear to a party.  This place will be off limits for me from now on!!!!

If I could rate this place, zero star, I would.I almost never write bad reviews ever, but this place gotta have it . I am a young professional who recently moved to Chester area almost 2 years ago and was looking for a nearby dry cleaning place.

The first incident is when they BURNED my brand new leather jacket that I just bought ..they tried to fix their mistakes by giving me a store credit..I decided to give them another chance and accepted this resolution and went ahead a bought me the same jacket again!

The second incident is when I sent 2 pants,one for alteration and the second one for a dry cleaning.. they forgot about the alteration and did dry cleaning for both pants! I didn't find out about this until I got home for sure and when I went back to explain to them, they claimed they already done it and that I had switched the pants around and showed them a different one!
The ladies in the back are rude and disrespectful.. The manager/owner is careless and only there till 12 pm!

I am definitely going to be looking somewhere else for better quality work and respect even if I have to drive far!

I do not recommend this business. It's a hassle!

The quality completely unacceptable.  Alterations awful.  Suits pants and shirts shrinkage.  Refusal to pay and rude.  Noticed a change a  few years ago.  DO NOT spend your money @ Chester Cleaners.  They care nothing about the customer or doing right.

I will never go to this facility ever again. I am short so I have to alter all of my paints. I usually collect them, then bring them all at once. I make sure to have the guy measures me. In the past they  have hemed them too short, so now I have a bunch of pants that I have never worn having to cut them again to make them knickers. So I have them measure me. The man kind of screams and asks me, "You have more" right then and there I stopped trying on pants. I put the rest back in my bag and I went around to pay for my order.  He tells me what my total is, I go to pay and because a man has come in behind me standing there. He tells me to pay later.  What!!!! So I say, I need to pay now! Then he points to the guy behind me as if I wasn't there. I am a paying customer!!! He was rude, disrespectful and I will never never never go there again.

Have been going here for years and then 1 order I brought my usual.  Well this time around they gave 1 of my sweaters to another person.  I showed them the receipt and it showed how many items was on my order as plane as day and they jus shrugged their shoulders.  I asked for compensation ($150 lacoste sweater) and they jus looked at me like I was crazy. Sooooo.... needless to say that this is a cleaners that will not be visited again!  Go at your own risk!  count your items in front of them before you leave and make sure the order shows exactly what you brought in!!  Maybe you'll get lucky!

Do NOT go to this Cleaner for Cleaning or worst yet, ALTERATIONS. Rude and they REFUSE to correct THEIR MISTAKES on ALTERATIONS. Their philosophy is that if you leave the cleaners with your garment, that signals your satisfaction. No one tries on a garment until they get home or get ready to wear it. They make you pay FULL PRICE if you return with clothes that were hemmed incorrectly. Horrible business.

I have been using Betty's since 2007 for dry cleaning and lots of alterations and I have never been disappointed. It's a bonus that she is also very courteous and sweet.

I took my husband's black suit and a white shirt to get cleaned before we left out of town for a banquet. We have used her service for a few years with no problem.  However, when I picked up the clothing, the white shirt had yellow stains scattered on it.  I showed it to her and at first she denied it. But then said to bring it back and she would rewash it. Thanks but no thanks because the shirt is ruined.  I will NOT BE RETURNING A CUSTOMER!!

I've used this dry cleaner for about a year to dry clean my dress shirts and pants. This past week I picked up my shirts and one had a wrinkled  collar. I bright it back, they had me wait a day and when I picked it up, it was still wrinkled. The worker told me there was nothing they could do. It's funny how they've dry cleaned the same shirt before and not had any problem. I will not use this dry cleaner again and I'll have to replace my shirt now.

Will never use again. Had a leather jacket cleaned because the liner had spots on it but the outside was fine. Checked over the jacket several times even after I got there I looked it over and told her that the liner is the problem. There was no spots or markers of any kind on the outside all the buttons was good. She even looked it over herself. Go to pick the jacket up and it had spots on the outside leather and she swore that it was no way they could have done that. I didn't know what I was talking about.

Very very poor service. Ive been using this cleaner for over two years and this is my first bad experience. My black & white suit turned grey and blavk after they dry cleaned it!!!! Unbelievable, they didnt refund me nor apologize for it. I will never go back.
