Ridgewood Laundromat

The woman tending to the laundromat is always pleasant when I come to do my laundry, and the fact that I can get a hamper full of laundry done for about 5 bucks is part of the reason I return. The place is always relatively clean, but you obviously can't make heads or tails of that. Regardless, the place is great.

This place is less expensive than the laundromat down the street, but they have rules that are not customer friendly.
1.If you prove you lost money, they still don't want to give it back. Excuses are made and they keep it. It's definitely a struggle to get it.
2.They tell you you can't fold laundry straight from the dryer. It's an extra step and time to throw it in a cart and fold on a table. I don't want my clothes wrinkled, and  I may also find I still need the dryer when clothes aren't completely dry. I refuse to follow this rule, but it's uncomfortable how hard they try and force it. There are always available dryers for someone else, and I already paid to use this one.
3. They don't make rules about blaring music and cell phones. It's miserable when people blare their devices.

If it weren't for the stress from badgering to not fold my clothes from the dryer, I would probably give 4 or 5 stars. That's a big minus though and I often go somewhere more expensive.

My washer isn't big enough for my blankets so it's nice to have a laundry mat that has large washers and dryers.The place is always clean don't see half the washers and dryers out of order like alot of other laundry mats I've been too.Dryers work excellent no going home with damp clothes

Clean, Well maintained. Plenty of washers and dryers. Large load washer washer was big enough for my queen size comforter. $5 to wash large load. Sitting areas are small, But adequate. Soap available for purchase, laundry carts for use. Drop off option available, they use their machines to wash and dry - this is done by the attendant. For 1 full laundry basket I used 2 small washers. This would normally be 2 loads at home washer also. Bathrooms clean. Soda machine & Coffee. Change machine or guest service. Machines take coin or card. This was a bonus for me.

Extremely rude lady staff member as I entered the facility, literally blocked me from using the coin change machine because my laundry was still outside.  Also I'm guessing her family members were there , they looked related, allowing their small children to run around the place throwing food on the floor, then picking up to eat it. Disgusting and disturbing.  The mother of said children started cussing at me in a different language because I asked her if they were her kids.  I won't go there again to do my laundry.

The dryers do not work good even when you put extra money in and the washers did not rinse the clothes and no spin cycle. When the washers were done there was a lot of water in the washer so my clothes did not get fully clean.

Super exspensive, otherwise everything went good. There is a homeless gentleman who likes to hang out around 11pm and just stare at you from outside the store. He kept circling my car and then standing outside the window staring at me and my friend who were just having dinner while my clothes washed.

All around scary experience. Bad crowd from the trailer park. You never know what dryers will work. The washers take $15. All around only good thing is 24hr

You can get all your clothes done at once.Takes about a couple hours.You're done and come home.Put it away.I really like that places

Giant Laundromats (King Laundromat)

Update:  Its been a year since I posted my last review.
I have been going elsewhere, and decided to give another try.
BIG MISTAKE.
Its even worse than it was before. Have been patronizing this laundromat since it was purchased from the old Mother Hubbard's. It used to be very nice.. The bathrooms don't work,  There is trash everywhere and the carpets  smell really bad.
It seems to be a good spot for the homeless as there was someone asleep on the floor inside and someone asleep in a car by the front door.
The large 5 load washer is out of order and has more duct tape than metal on the outside. One of the 3 loaders doesnt even have a door.
Two of the 4 dryers I tried didnt even get warm despite setting the temp on high. Waste of only $2, but when someone is retired and comes in and spends $20 to wash and dry clothes, theres an expectation of better service
The parking lot is a suspension killer riddled with crater sized potholes.
Shame on you!

This was once the cleanest most efficient laundry. Now not so clean. Bathroom is disgusting and stinks. Sink broken. Have lost money in washers. Seems every time I go in the prices go up. Still unkept. As soon as I find a new place I won't be back. I give hope things will change so I will want to stay. I've been using this place off and on for nearly 15 years. Old habits die hard I guess. If things get better I will be back with an update.

This place was so gross not only did we pay 8$ for two washers that didn’t work and we had to rewash our clothes. But there was filth and roaches everywhere. And it flooded! 😂😂😂 it was soooo gross.

I've not used the the washers. But the dryers work well. 19 mins for a quarter. Usually takes 2 quarters to dry a load of thicker materials like towels, jeans, or hoodies. It is open 24hrs which is very convenient.  Only downside is there is not an attendant on duty and I'm not sure how often they do come. Most occasions it's cleaned, but another time I went and there was used dryer sheets all over the, and garbage over flowing. Its definitely not fancy but it's convenient.
Theres a vending machine for snack and laundry items. It's also next door to a gas station.

Very dirty! Smelled like sewage when I walked in. Washers are WAY WAY WAY over priced for the small amount of clothes you can fit in them. First and last time I will ever go here. Only reason I did was because my usual laundry mat was full. I do not recommend this place.
