The folks who own the shop are real winners, friendly and fun to talk to. Their work is exceptional - got a number of deep-set stains out of two blazers I frequently wear. Price is impossible to beat. I'd recommend this place to anyone and will be back myself.

Really great business! They were less expensive, faster, better, and far friendlier than the last three dry cleaning services I've tried. Very nice Employees - however, after my second visit. They returned my dress shirts with multiple tears in the sleeves. Charged me full price and said fabric does that over time. Unfortunately will need to find a new place

The ladies did so amazing on my mother's wedding dress. I brought it in to get cleaned because I wanted to use it for my wedding.  Was concerned about the red ribbon bleeding into the dress.  It didn't and the dress hasn't ever looked better ♡   thank you so so much.  Will definitely be reccomending this place

i called to inquire about their services because i need to have my comforter cleaned. the lady that answered sounded as if i was bothering her, i almost apologized for calling 😅 when she confirmed they clean comforters, i asked how much it would be for a queen (not down) and she said it was $35. i asked what their current turnaround time is if i were to drop it off today, she said friday.

the pricing and turnaround time are reasonable but i didn’t have a good first impression of their service. i could only imagine what my experience would be if there was an issue and how they would respond.

Friendly people and excellent results! They were able to get deodorant residue out of my favorite sleeveless dresses and they look brand new. So happy to finally find a dry cleaner I can trust who consistently delivers great service.

I cannot thank the staff here enough!!!!! Bridal dress, 1 day before wedding, and you averted a major crisis with removing a stain the seamstress apparently caused.  We came to Grand Rapids from the east side of the state so were very unfamiliar with our surroundings.  I believe it was the owner that I spoke with and he couldn't have been nicer!!!!! My granddaughter was especially thankful that you saved the day for her. I'll be sending an additional thank you in a few days.

I’ve taken quite a few items to get dry cleaned throughout the past two years here and never really had an issue, staff is friendly however this past visit was unfortunately a huge letdown. I took four items to get dry cleaned which consisted of 3 two piece suits and 1 long overcoat. The suits came back fine however my coat on the other hand was ruined. When I arrived home after picking up the items I looked through and realized the issue with the coat so I took it back and attempted to see if they could remedy the situation, they acknowledged the distressed condition of the coat and kept it for a day. I was very optimistic however upon picking it up i soon realized it was in the same condition it was initially given to me. I am unsure what process they go through when they dry clean items but one would assume as a business they would strictly follow the dry clean instructions of the tags in clothes especially when it comes to delicate luxury items. one would assume they would have expertise with all clothing types as they are running a business in this field. Well now my $3000 coat that I’ve owned for less than a year is ruined, unfortunately the only route I am looking at to try and salvage my coat is small claims court. Hopefully this review saves someone some grief with their specialty items.

I have to say that I've been going here for years and I have been satisfied just about every time. The team is friendly and helpful, and even help me out when I was in a bind getting a button put back on a jacket same day. If you're not going to Afendoulis Cleaners, you need to be.

We rented the tuxedos for our wedding through Afendoulis and it was the one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Becky runs the family business and was there from step number one hands on during my first consultation. She treated us like family and gave great advice on how to make things perfect for us. When I went to pick up my tux a couple days before the wedding I felt the need to give Becky a hug because she (and every else at Afendoulis) was so great. And the tuxes were pretty sharp too of course!

This dry cleaner seems good. I have only ever had wedding gowns cleaned here, so that's my full experience. They have had wonderful customer service, knowledgeable and friendly staff, all the times I've visited. You do have to believe your phone telling you "you've arrived" when you pull into their parking lot, as they have no signage facing that direction. There is only one door going in, and it's under a large State Farm sign. Pay that sign no mind, just walk in and hang a right. Aside from location and customer service, the prices seem a bit high to me, but apparently that's just how much dry cleaning gowns costs. The dress did clean up &look brand new. Turn around to get those back is about 3 weeks, I'm guessing other garments would not take so long.

Needed a outfit done for a wedding that I had forgotten never got cleaned after the last wedding. They did a great job making it look good as new. Got it done quick too! Customer service was great. Seems like a family run place.

Horrible customer service. I never get dry cleaning but had a wedding coming up. I call to ask if they would have time for a suit and a dress shirt. I hear him nicely say "i'll be right with you", which is no problem bc I understand when you have a walk in and you want to acknowledge them. I attempted to ask if he had a rough price so I could plan and he said "I have a call waiting and someone at the counter what do you want from me?" What a horrible experience. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS.

Employees are friendly and the service is good, but the pricing is OUTRAGEOUS.  Dry cleaning pricing tends to be regional and this is an issue at most places in the area, but seems extra inflated here.

Brides be aware!!! The price for cleaning a wedding dress was fair and the garment itself was well-treated... that said, when they returned my dress, it was without the nice garment bag and wooden hanger I had provided for it!!! The sales lady was very sweet and kind and I know it's not her fault as she mentioned the item was shipped out to be cleaned. I'm still very disappointed.

I took a suit jacket and skirt to this establishment. He charged me $50, which is almost 50% higher than other places in the area. The set was also damaged. It looks like he just threw it in a washer. There was still food particles left woven into the fabric. The set is ruined. (Very high retail items) He took no accountability and was dishonest saying other dry cleaners charge $50 for suits as well. I called 3 different dry cleaners when I left and their prices were as I knew them to be. ($27) for set. I will take my business elsewhere. Please be warned. Do not take high value items to this shop.

This guy has some amazing skill!  I took 2 complicated alterations to him and not only did he knock it out of the park, he did it in a week!  Thanh is also a very good and honest person!  If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

If I went there on Thursday September 18th I took three pair of jeans to him and ask him the price of the dry cleaning of the pants he told me $25 per pants and I thought it was just me so I had someone else called and asked him how much he charge for pants and he told them $20 per pants. So he tried to overcharge me for what reason I don't know. But stay clear of this guy he's not professional and I think he pick and choose according to who you are I guess. Stay clear do not support this business and he's in the neighborhood that's why I tried to support him, his lost!!!

Had a bridesmaid's dress shortened here. First, it wasn't ready the day he said it would be. When I went back the next day at 5:15, he was already closed, despite his posted hours being until 6 (he claims he's changing his hours). When I went back a third time, he was dismissive that I was unhappy with the level of service I received. I was offered a $5 discount (on an over $100 bill).

I took a suit jacket here to get cleaned and it left smelling worse than when I brought it in. I decided to hand wash my jacket to see if I could get it a clean enough and it’s very clean this place did not do a good job. Waste of money so disappointed

I requested to have some dress shirts pressed but when I picked them up, they barely looked better than when I dropped them off. On one of my sleeves you can see a very wrinkled sleeve. Very disappointing and I was offered only store credit in return.

Never going here again.

Came in on November 5 to drop my wedding dress off to be cleaned. Met with a nice lady who set up an account with me. After that, I presented a coupon to her, which is the $50 off wedding gown cleaning and preservation. Mind you, the total was $200, so $50 is quite a bit to be taken off.
The lady said she can keep the coupon aside and ask her manager about it because she didnt have the authority to take any coupons off. I said okay and completed the $200 transaction.
I went to pick up my dress a couple weeks later and a different lady was working the counter. I asked her about the coupon and she said the same thing as the first lady did and that the manager would call me.
I let 2 to 3 weeks slide by and got no call. I decided to put matters into my own hands and called the store right when they opened. A lady picked up and I asked if I could speak to the manager. She noted that she was the manager and I told her the debacle.
She then said that the ladys at the front desk were supposed to call me and I told her what they told me. She said she cant do anything but put the coupon towards a future purchase.
I was confused and a little irritated at that answer. I asked if the coupon amount could just be written in a check and mailed to me. She said no.
This was the first time I had ever stepped foot in a Sheldon Cleaners. Had it been $5 or $10 I wouldn't have written this. But since it's not and I put $200 towards something and gave a coupon FROM THEM towards the purchase, I am just beyond angry.
I'm not going back, and I advise people to be cautious when they decide they want something cleaned by them.
By the way, I had just recently received in the mail ANOTHER coupon for preserving my dress, that I ALREADY DID in November.

My husband is a wounded  vet, i take care of him, he cant be left alone for long, so I took the clothes here for the wash and gold service since it's  closer to our place.i thought since  it was a professional  cleaners,that they would do a great job.. the people  working were very nice and friendly,  but our clothes were  very wrinkled  when we got them back, some of the clothes had shrunk, they didn't stack them neatly  in the bag, some clothes were on top and some were shoved around the sides of the bag,any which way.. I wish now that i would've  driven a little further  to the other place to get it done. I'm  very disappointed,  and now i have to buy my husband 2 new sweat outfits, since they shrank his. Thanks for NOTHING..

This is to show appreciation to the staff at the Kalamzoo and 68th street location. Upon entering, it was very clean and the employee Christine, was very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating to my business needs. Christine normally works at the Breton location but is helping cover another employee who's on vacation for 2 weeks.  By the way she carried herself,  I thought Christine  was management but she corrected my assumption and said she's been here for about 1-1/2 years.  I find it important to show recognition and appreciation to individuals who deserve it and this lady deserves all that! She represents this small business in a very professional manner and takes good care of each customer and their needs.  I do not personally know Christine as this is the 1st time we've met. I just want to share a happy review.   It's hard to find  help like this these days. I'll definitely be back.

Just picked up brand new tuxedo shirt that I asked be laundered and pressed with medium starch. It was done with light starch and it virtually looks impressed. The pleats on the front are wavy and not stiff and totally flat as a formal shirt should be. Very disappointed and was told that I could not get a refund. I can't have it re-done because it's needed for a concert tomorrow afternoon. Big bummer!
