They did a great job on 20 shirts in 2 days. I know it wasn't easy for them but I was on the road for 3 weeks and nowhere more than a couple of days. Thank you! And their building is pretty cool also!

Very nice lady working there this evening. She even shared plant clippings with me. Dropped off my wedding dress for cleaning and restoration , awaiting results. Was happy to receive a text after I left as a reminder that they will text again for pick up. So far very happy!

I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! A big thank you. The other day I was stressed out because I was trying to park and find out where I was at. Some lady decided to lay her horn at me and almost hit me. You all were so nice to let me park there for 2 min and then leave. The kindness you all showed  me should have been the same kindness I showed that lady. I have been using Gardeners Dry Cleaning for almost 20 years now. They have always been pleasant to work with and do an excellent job. They even replace missing or cracked buttons on my shirts! Great staff to work with and very conscientious. Highly recommend them.

I flew into town for one day for a funeral.  All but one of my funeral appropriate suits were at my dry cleaners in Massachusetts who decided to close early yesterday (because: “Happy Summer” 😡).  I landed in Charleston with a dirty wrinkled suit at 3:00pm in the afternoon.  I called 3 dry cleaners and all of them said they couldn’t help me.  The woman who answered the phone at Gardner’s (great Nightmare Before Christmas hat) said “How fast can you get here?”   It’s 45 minutes later and I’m in my hotel room with a pressed suit and dress shirt.

There are businesses that serve customers and businesses that are part of the community. Gardner’s definitely is the latter.

Stop giving these people money. This location is in a bad area. From previous reviews u see they stealing expensive clothing AND ruin clothing with no remorse. This place was a great place a decade ago. I dropped off a silk suit about 2 weeks ago and they gave it to someone else. That person was a good person and brought it back. Then they called to say they had it back. The female owner did not refund me my money. I used to trust the place but no more. Horrible management and subpar service now.

I've taken my clothes to Nu Way Cleaners frequently over the years and was always pleased with the quality of their services until my most recent experience.
I took 2 pair of pants for alterations and I'm very dissatisfied with the results.

First of all, they don't have a seamstress on sight nor do they have a dressing room to change into your clothing in order for them to get the right measurements.
I decided to trust my past experiences with them and told the cashier the length I want the pants to be.
She said it would be close to a month before I could pick them up and I said ok.
The price was very steep, a little over $47 for 2 pairs of pants.
I got them home and it looks like they haven't been altered in the least.
Lesson learned, I will not take anything there to be altered again.  I took them to the Lee Street location here in Charleston.

**UPDATE** They lost my $700 suit and aren't doing anything about it.
DO NOT choose this company for ANYTHING important or if you care about your belongings. I dropped my 3 piece suit off for a cleaning a week before my interview. I was told it would be ready in 3 days. When I returned to pick up my suit, there were other articles of clothing that weren't mine and the casher assisted me in taking the . On the day of the interview, I put my suit on to learn that it isn't my suit, and it does not fit. I immediately called to find where my suit was. It took them two days to locate it. Once it was located, I was told it was at another one of their locations and that I had to go there to get my suit. 5 days go by, and I finally go in to get my suit, and the cashier REFUSED to give me my suit. She stated she needed to review the itinerary before she could hand my suit over. Mind you it has been two weeks and I still have not received my suit. STILL TO THIS DAY I do not have my suit. No refund has been offered. My suit is still held in captivity by this company due to THEIR inadequacies and mistakes. Absolutely disgusted with this company.

I love nice clothes, but I'm very clumsy and stain them a lot. Nu way has never failed to get them back to pristine condition. I also had a small rug cleaned that had been rained on for several days, then coated in pollen for several days, and I was sure it would be ruined forever. Nu way got it back to like-new! They are not the cheapest, but worth it for the quality of the work. I will remain a loyal customer.

Editing a year later to add thay they also have excellent prices on rug cleaning. I brought a large area rug to be cleaned and expected it to cost $200-$300; it was $114. And their employee saw that I was pregnant and offered to take the rug to my car without even being asked. They are still the best cleaners I’ve been to!

The only way for me to leave a review was to rate them. So thats why i gave them 1 star. I will never use them again they over charge you to clean your clothes. I paid for dry cleaning and they washed my clothes and then tryed to tell they dry cleaned them. They are Horrible and i cant wait until the Chinese or Mexicans come in and put them out of Business.

Wait times (6 days for suits) seems excessive, but staff super-friendly, professional, made me smile.  Prices seem high, but everything is these days.

Easy, quick processing, lobby clean, super nice.

I had my husband drop off a bag of clothes to be cleaned on July 28. They told him it would be ready the following Friday. he went to pick them
Up that day, and was told they weren’t ready yet. He went ahead and paid since he was there. He checked back Monday and they didn’t have them yet, yesterday they were closed, today they tell him there is “no record“ of the transaction in their “system.”

That was half my wardrobe, most of my work clothes. I had two suits in there that had designer labels on them, but the real reason I’m so upset is because both of them are gifts. One of the dresses in there was a gift from my husband, one was my “concert dress.” ( I teach music). I think they saw the nice designer clothes and someone yeeted them, and now they’re trying to say he already picked them up because he paid for them. Do not go here. If anything changes in the near future I’ll update, unless and until they get my clothes back to me, im going to blow them up on every site I possibly can. they send it out to another location, and I’m
Thinking I’ll find out which one and go park my big azz there until they  produce my stuff.

All clothes I’ve had cleaned there have come back in excellent condition and on time and the lady working there was more than sweet. Highly recommend!

Absolute the worst customer service. It was an inconvenience when I walked in and the lady had to get up out of her chair to see what I needed. I said hello twice with no response just a look of disgust she actually had to tend to me. Left and went to another cleaner.
