The owner at Value Dry Cleaners spoke with me personally about the large amount of items that I needed to have cleaned. They’d absorbed moist odors after a basement water back up.
Not only did he offer to take on the cleaning job at a reasonable price for the amount of clothing, but he also agreed to pick them up and deliver them back, if needed.
Turns out that regarding insurance mishaps, I did not have to use the service on a bulk level. However, should I need any cleaning services soon or later, I will be taking the road straight to Value Dry Cleaners!  I appreciate being treated respectfully and with thoughtfulness! I read the reviews and gave them a chance anyway, BIG mistake. They told me it would be $80 to clean my wedding dress and then called me after I agreed and dropped it off and said it was actually $200. When I said never mind I’m not paying that she immediately said she’ll only charge $100 which is very fishy and not how that should work. I was annoyed at that point because I should not be getting a call after agreeing trying to tell me I owe more. When I showed up 3 weeks later to pick it up on the agreed date, they said it wasn’t ready yet. So I had to wait another week before it ready. Nothing about their business practice was good and I will not ever go back nor recommend anyone trust them with their clothing.

If you are in the military, do not go here at all costs. I verified before dropping off my uniforms that they do military, and they told me yes. All my shirts have set crease lines to be ironed and were returned to be double creased! All you have to do is follow the line that’s already present. They also removed my name tag markings (which are required to be on my uniform). Horrible for a place that claims they do military uniforms. Here’s pictures of some of their ‘specialty work.’ Complete waste of money, I would’ve rather torn the cash and pitched it if I would’ve known this would be the result.

They applied too much heat and burnt my dress and in spite of me going multiple times to show them the situation they did not even came back to me or gave me even an apology. I went to this place because of the ratings but I was misled they do not know how to handle certain clothes or customer issues.

Schafer 2YourDoor Cleaners - Northville

This place is amazing. Not only did they do a beautiful job cleaning a wedding dress, but they offered free delivery even though I was out of the delivery area because I couldn’t get in there to pick it up during their regular hours. I would highly recommend and use them again anytime. They offer a locker pick up for convenience during off hours, but the dress was too large for the locker. I was thrilled to have it delivered.

This dry cleaning business was beyond my expectations. I dropped my items off during the day and was able to speak to one of the workers there. She was very kind and knowledgeable and explained the whole process of pickup and everything. Pickup was so easy and it only took a few days for my items to be done. Their extended late night hours worked great for pickup! It was all automated and so easy and convenient. Also, they handled my items with care and did a good job with cleaning them. I am so impressed with this place and will go here for all my dry cleaning needs. I recommend this place to everyone.

Their team is FANTASTIC. They are very client-focused. Every staff member I have interacted with has been incredibly gracious. They have a very user friendly system that allows customers to pickup their belongings outside of regular business hours. This is huge for convenience & efficiency. Our clothes are always delivered quickly and in great condition. The owners and employees are friendly, which is not necessary but certainly appreciated. I love the convenience of having our dry cleaning picked up and delivered, and the new (to me) after hours drop off and pick up lobby makes the odd last-minute or off-cycle need easier to handle as well.

This place has come a long way from how I remember when I was younger. They’ve got a  bunch of new machines, that are always running there’s barely anything out of order ever so that keeps thing going smoothly from what I’ve seen first hand. Also the customer service here is amazing theyve always been super helpful and accommodating when possible to me and my family. If you haven’t checked this place out in a while do it now!!

This place is absolutely filthy, ran down beyond words with dirt, rust, mold & bacteria on these machines & everywhere else actually. What's worse is I didn't mention that to the lady working who acts like she owns the city (I'm sure she's unapologetically aware of her winning attitude and the grime of this place based on the many other reviews) kindly just the fact that the wash machine ran 10 minutes?? I did the one load and took the rest to Cresent Lake/ Pontiac Lake - Night & day difference. The owner was there and said he hears complaints about her often. Bad look all around for a city trying to upgrade. This lady must be drained from the anger she presents to customers at the end of the day. I'll be posting pics with this review.

I’m very disappointed with my experience. I had my dress tailored here with specific instructions, which the seamstress acknowledged and agreed to. However, when I picked up the dress, it was not tailored as we had discussed. The fit was completely off. The fit was supposed to be to the floor, no train or overflow and nothing shorter, either.

When I returned to address the issue saying it didn’t look like she tailored the dress, she accused me of wearing different shoes and not wearing the dress properly—claims that were both untrue and unprofessional. I felt dismissed and disrespected, which was incredibly frustrating after trusting her with something so important.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend her services. It was a stressful and disappointing experience, and I expected much better communication and accountability. And when I️ said I️ was leaving a review she said she’d respond so people know her side of the story

I came to get a maxi dress altered for a vacation and they were very helpful working with my time frame! They had a dressing room for me to try on my dress before and after alterations, and took their time showing me various length options on the dress. Very skilled and kind, highly recommend!

I had a bad experience with this establishment. I brought in pants that seamstress determined needed to be taken in one inch. A couple days later I picked up the pants. When I tried them on they fit just like that had before taking them in. I called them immediately after and they said the seamstress would have to call me back. The seamstress called me back and had a rude tone, she told me to bring the pants back up and she would show that she did an inch. She was so confrontational that I wasn’t going to bother with her. The shop never even offered my money back or remorse for their actions. I am going to take my alteration business elsewhere!

They burned my silk dress strap to the point that it’s not salvageable or wearable, and didn’t own up to the mistake when I picked it up. I found out when I packed the dress to wear to a friend’s wedding and had to go shopping last minute for a dress in another country, all because they tried to pull a fast one

I had forgotten to get a pair of dress pants hemmed for a destination wedding and needed to find somewhere to take that work same day and have it done by 1:30pm (8:30am drop off). They gladly took on the work and although it cost about $5 extra for the rush it was more than appreciated and the work done looked great. Highly recommend!

I’m not even sure if this deserves 1 star. Took both a Canada Goose coat and vest there, came back with same spots. Requested a refund, they said we needed to bring it back for a do over. We again got it back with the same drips and spots. I ended up using dawn dish soap to get out the drips. Do not waste your money at this place. These photos are AFTER getting “dry cleaned”

Highly highly recommend! Back in August, I had dropped off a few suit jackets to get dry cleaned. Well, my spouse had an unplanned and sudden international work trip come up and we needed his coats asap. We were happy to pick up without being drycleaned, but the highland location went above and beyond to coordinate with their main location for expedited dry cleaning!! I wish I got the name of the lady who helped me on the phone and went above and beyond to coordinate. Her efforts, the Schafer team in other locations, and the driver all saved us from having to buy extra suit coat/jackets for this trip. This was the 2nd time using theor service and I wont be going anywhere else!! Also love the convenience of the 24/7 pickup and dropoff for those of us with crazy work schedules! Great business

This was a full length woman's winter coat with a furry border around the hood.
We had to sign a waiver stating that the cleaners were not liable for any damage.
Personally, I was a little worried, but my sister said go forward after speaking with one of the workers here.
I picked it up and it came back looking like a new coat. It was priced fairly and the workers there are really helpful, nice , and understanding.

I was a bit nervous because my dress and coat said they could not be washed except by hand. But they came back perfectly in tact. No wrinkles and well maintained. I will be using them for all my outfits that need to be carefully washed.

I recently took several suits to this dry cleaning company for routine cleaning. When I returned home, I was shocked to find a significant tear in the forearm of one of my suits—a suit that had no damage prior to dropping it off. I immediately contacted the owner, Steve, to express my concern. Instead of taking responsibility and offering to replace or compensate me for the damaged suit, he suggested I should have it repaired, which was not at all what I needed or expected from a dry cleaning service.

Steve seemed more concerned with finding the least expensive solution for his business rather than making things right for the customer. To make matters worse, I was accused of bringing the suit in damaged, which was not the case at all. I came in expecting professional service but left feeling wronged and disappointed.

For anyone considering using this company, I would recommend caution and ensure you fully understand the level of service you may receive. My experience was far from what I expected, and I hope future customers have a better outcome.

Wonderful! It's always, I mean, always a perfect alteration! Very reasonable price also! The owner is super nice! I actually had a bathing suit altered. It's a perfect fit now!  Also some sharp mens clothing.  Love this place!

I just had a thin jacket, a short pant and a full size shirt dry cleaned. When I went to pick up the owner was present himself. He charged me $52 with some change. I asked twice and he said 'yes'. $26 for jacket, $17 for long shirt and $6 for the short pants. Since I did not inquire on the price before hand, I paid and used a credit card. When I got back home and checked, my credit card was charged $55.01. Apparently he charged me a credit card use fee for the transaction. The prices for dry clean should be clearly posted where customers can see it. The credit card is a convenience an a customer shouldn't be passed on the charges. I was charged about 5% of the amount where as he may be paying less than 2%. The credit card use fee should also be clearly displayed on the payment counter.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! I went their to get a suit jacket altered, was quoted $24.00.  When I went to pick up the jacket they charged me $9.00, I thought bonus it was less than expected.  NOT!!!! When I tried it on at home found out that they did not alter it just took pins out and cleaned it.  Took jacket back up there was advised that they would only charge for a repair.  When I went back there a second time they charged me the full $24.00 and would not budge on the price.  It needed altered not cleaned.  So I had to pay $33.00, when I was quoted $24.00, went up there twice and took longer than I expected.  What a rip, I hope these people take lessons on customer service.

TERRIBLE! RUINED A $500 Marc Jacob ski jacket. Tried to return it with holes on the.hood and color went from brown to Grey. The Man said that was the way it was brought in and argued with me. Horrible and dishonest person!

Professional and courteous. I have always had great service. Once I took some dress shirts with deodorant stains that I couldn’t remove. The staff was honest and said they were not 100% sure the stains would come out. But they did!  Woo hoo!
Update: They succeeded again! I dropped off a shirt with an unknown black (grease?) stain. I attempted to remove the stain with no luck. But Golden Carriage Cleaners got it out. They rock!!

They did a great dry cleaning job on my dress.

I dropped my shirt off on Thursday of last week.  It's now Tuesday and I was getting ready for a career fair.  Unfortunately, they had not started my suit yet.  They said they'd do it tomorrow. On the flip side, they do a good job, but if you need it done in a week or less, you may want to look to more speedy places.

Prices are fair, and they really do a good job. They also went the extra mile to fix a split zipper on my coat without charging me for it.

WORST DRY CLEANERS EVER. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take ANYTHING here.
I took my $400 dollar curtains here with dog hair at the bottom of them and they came back with stains ALL over the top. The owner tried telling me that there were previously there, they weren’t.
I also took 8 dress shirts there, said the stains on them “wouldn’t come out”.
Worst customer service. No refund offered after spending $100 dollars at this place. Garbage.

Owner is always friendly. Never gives me any grief if I take too long to pick up my items.
My tablecloths always come back miraculously clean.
Usually (not always) can accommodate a tight turnaround of 2 days.

I honestly feel like they put my clothes on a hanger without cleaning them at all and give them back to me. My jacket below still has hair all over and is dirty after charging me $16 for what?

Professional and fast are 2 qualities you look for in a dry cleaner. They always have a friendly greeting when I arrive. At your 1st visit, they get you in the system. Every time you drop off clothes, all they need is your phone number. It's quick and easy. The clothes are always ready by the time stated on the return receipt you receive when you drop off your items. You also get an email when your clothes are ready. I had a really fancy suit coat that I took in. They told me at the counter they weren't sure if it would hold up to the dry clean process & that someone would be giving me a call after they inspected it. The owner called me and gave me the news. They were honest, and I thanked them for it. They said they treat every item as if it were their own.

I can't say enough about how happy I am to find this place. It is by far the best cleaners I have ever been to. Dubin Cleaners is the intersection between quality service and fair prices.

The dry cleaners I had been using for years went out business. I asked around and many people referred me to Dubin.  I am very happy with the service and professionalism. Glad I found Dubin and will continue using them.
