I called they could not understand nor explain the very strong smell of what is like a FAB softener, not sure why because they have dry cleaned the suit and a blanket before. Trying by phone but he just hung up on me. I paid by visa I m as y have them stop p as yment, I fesrcthis well will be too deep in the fibers.

This business is a great resource for the area. Any article that I have taken there has come home clean; like brand new. The proprietor is cheerful, polite and friendly. The other feature I really like is: the work is on site, by the business owner, not shipped elsewhere for anonymous service. Prices are competitive as well! I highly recommend this shop!

Just took a wool blanket to this cleaner because of pet hair and was told they couldn't clean it because there's to much hair guess they only take clean items to clean

Its been years since ive been there, but i still remember.  Its something that you cant forget.

Rolled in at 2:14 AM with a duffel bag full of regrets and three pairs of tactical cargo pants still haunted by the smell of expired gasoline and betrayal.

The air inside smelled like Snuggle sheets and lightly suppressed trauma. Lady behind the counter handed me 4 quarters and a stare that said, “You got demons. But the big washer’s open.”

I loaded my sins into the industrial Whirlpool like it was a confessional. Watched the spin cycle while pondering the weight of my decisions and whether I’d ever emotionally reconnect with my dog.

A man named Dusty folded his towels without breaking eye contact. He never blinked. Pretty sure he’s been here since 1997. Might be the guardian of the quarter machine.

Midway through drying, the fluorescent lights flickered. I heard a whisper from Dryer #3 say, “You’re not done yet.”

Left at 3:41 AM with clean dubs, clear mind, and a phone number written in permanent marker on a dryer sheet that simply said:
“Call if the squirrels find you again.”

Would return.

Wow, probably one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest laundromat I have ever seen in my travels around this country.  The young lady, Tina, who works here, very helpful and very informative. Definitely the place to go to get your clothes washed. Thank you!

I travel all over the country for work, I see a lot of laundromats and although it does have kind of a smell, I feel people in this area should feel lucky that they keep the cost lower and in my experience only two of the machines were down (washing)
Overall a four-star all my clothes came out clean and the dryers worked very well. For under $7I washed all my weeks clothing.

Due to water main break at my usual laundry I came here and spent $11.25 for three washers. The washers don’t wring out the water, leaving clothes sitting in 5 inches of dirty water. Had to transport soaking wet dripping clothes. No contact info anywhere in building. I left a note in their mailbox and I emailed them twice and no response!! I want a refund of my $11.25! Plus bathroom was locked!! Will never go there again and if anyone has any other contact info to the operators please let me know!! Horrible, dirty nasty place

Overall good place to go and wash clothes. Cheap as well. Only downside is the washers sometimes stop and your clothes end up not washing while you’re gone. We’ve even stayed to listen for the washer to start and yet it stopped while we were gone.

I did really like this place when they first opened but it’s gone down hill. Was just there to do some wash and there are more broken machines than working and the ones that do work are pretty gross I there is at least one that  charges you$3.00 for choosing a different wash When the rest charge a .25. Doesn’t seem like anyone has much invested in this place other than trying to make a quick buck..ultimately I would suggest going anywhere else

I’ve never washing my clothes at a laundromat before and was a little skeptical going anywhere but once I walked in it was a breath of fresh air. Everything is so organized and clean! Plus Sandy is the absolute sweetest!!  She let me know how the machines work and thankfully told me all about using my phone to pay (of course I forgot my wallet 30 mins away at the cabin). I loved it so much that I wasn’t even upset finding out I had to do another load of my kids clothes and happily came back today !

When we arrived, the owner and her mother were there and explained how everything worked. I used the app for payment, it worked well.  The dryers probably need to be fully loaded to work efficiently... I had two medium sherpa blankets in the dryer for 45 minutes, and they still came out very much damp. If you plan on staying there during a hot day, note that there's no air conditioner in the room. We are thankful for this place and the help we received.

Two Laundromat's

There are two laundromats in my life. One, just six miles away, felt as cold and unwelcoming as a winter wind. The other, nestled 25 miles down the road in Oneonta, radiated warmth and acceptance. Why? Well....

My first encounter at the closer laundromat was far from pleasant. Dressed in my best clothes, I was directed by staff towards a rusty washer tucked away in the back corner, far from the newer, more efficient machines. It felt...off. Memories, hazy and indistinct, surfaced from history lessons about segregation. This seemingly arbitrary relegation to the back of the laundromat, solely based on my appearance, triggered these uncomfortable recollections.
But surely, that wasn't happening here, in the present day?
Pressing for an explanation, I politely asked the staff about the policy behind their directive. Their response was dismissive, offering no reason why I couldn't use the available machines. This only solidified the feeling of prejudice I was experiencing.

At the Oneonta laundromat, however, the atmosphere was a breath of fresh air. The staff greeted me with a smile, the machines gleamed, and a sense of community buzzed in the air.
Here, the newer machines were all occupied, still I had choices in the further back rows. With the older machines the kind I used years ago, Yet, these veterans were powerful, efficient, and significantly cheaper.
I happily used them, my clothes emerging fresh and clean.

Overreaction? Na, the full story was longer and more insulting but Gem didn't want any trouble ;)

Here is my detailed description of what happened.
I enter the laundry mat with small two bags of clothes in my hand looking to were I could cash out bills for coins when I was approached by a woman who presented herself as an employee there.
They told me that both bags of laundry would fit in the more expensive bigger commercial washer in the back because they were both small bags of clothes.
I respond with I was planning on keeping the small bags of close separated because I had a sick 3yo at home and wouldn't dare of risking cross contamination. Also I informed her I had a few more bags of close in my car and asked if there was a limit on how many washers I could use at one time. I was being reasonable because I had a lot of separated small amounts of clothes that I wanted thoroughly washed.
They responded by telling me that there isn't a limit of how many washers could be used by a person at one time but told me that didn't matter because I had to use the single big expensive commercial washer in the back.

I don't care what you wanna call the condition of the washer. I care because I just wanted to pick my own washer and pay for it because everyone's money is green.... And quarters are silver.
So yes keep saying that no one works there that would tell me such a thing and if there was someone who was a imaginary representative of your business that was there, they only told me such things because I was doing something foolish.
Guess what?!?
Like I just said I was trying to spend a lot of money to get really clean clothes but I was instructed to only use that one big commercial washer.

I had 8 total bags that I all washed separately in Oneonta, and they came out clean with no problems.
You're literally down the street, you're definitely the laundry mat I'm talking about.

We should work together to help your business, would you like to work together to identify the customer who impersonated being an employee/speak for your business and told me those horrible things. I have the day and exact time frame it took place. I'm sure you have the footage. With your Laundromat having no workers, it should at least have working cameras right?

The owners have made improvements since the last time I was here. They installed cameras which really make me feel safer. They repaired dryers that weren't working properly. They expanded their folding area to include a little more folding space and a nice area for children. I really liked the improvements.

I am not sure if there are new owners but the washing machines are finally cleaned everyday. In the past month or so, the laundromat has made some major improvements.

I would like to suggest looking into the cscPay app. I have used this app at hotels before and it is very convenient. I can check to see how many washers are available before I drive down there. I can add money to my account and pay over my phone. I never carry cash, so its very inconvenient to try and find enough cash and change to do my laundry without having to go to the bank first.

Again, very glad to see so much improvement to the cleanliness of the laundromat!

This is the cutest little laundry mat for a small town- I live in Schenevus and was so thankful I didn’t have to go to Oneonta (especially during baseball season) to wash my clothes- it’s clean, very new washers and dryers and some laundry vending and drink vending.

The only thing I wish it had was a bathroom- but that’s quite alright.

A washer had a problem which was urgent. I called the number listed and the owner was there immediately. Talk about 5 star service. The speed queen top loaders work amazing, along with the two oversized washers.

The dryer burned our blankets as it is set to high, The big washers only one working. Machine took 3.00.
The place needs help. Not everyone has washer and dryers in town to do their laundry.
It was a great place when I was a kid.

The little village deserves better. Would likely be busier if better cared for. 4 of 9 dryers broken. 16 regular size washers, 7 out of order. 2 XL machines. Machines dirty inside, hot water for wash is lukewarm at best. Vending machines empty. Coin changer out of order. Floors dirty & strewn with trash. Very disappointing. Folks deserve better.

Great location, self service facility. Put money in the slot to get detergent and nothing came out. Drove to a nearby store and bought a bottle of detergent. That was better anyway.

I've been on the Empire Bike Trail for a few days and needed to wash my clothes badly.  This spot is highly recommended.  Very clean and spacious and it offers coin and soup dispensers.

The lady that works there at night is horrible she’s rude to customers every single time we go there. .from now on I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Worst Landry mat I have ever been to. She’s so upset over having customers then maybe no one should spend their money there clearly she doesn’t realize her income comes from us customers it’s very unprofessional of her to argue with customers and be rude to a 9 year old kid telling him to move she’s lucky I wasn’t there she would have gotten a beat down for that alone. .

This place is relatively new so the place is clean and the machines work well. There is ample room and tables to fold your clothes there. I would have given this place a 5 star rating but the machines are more expensive than some other local places.
