Alka has done a superb job of cleaning and restoring a precious 70 year old family heirloom vintage wedding dress for me (and my daughter).
Her professional expertise and care are clearly evident, and I initially discussed the previous treatments done to the dress, and the possible risks of cleaning such old fabric.
Alka used several cleaning processes (over time) to remove the heavy yellow staining from the multiple dress layers, and achieved an amazing result. The heavy yellow staining was removed and the dress looks rejuvenated.
We carefully chose Alka based off the excellent reviews online, and we were delighted with the finished result.

Balcatta Dry cleaners.... wouldn't recommend at all, didn't Dry clean the clothes properly, put in four shirts,  they had them from Thursday to Monday afternoon, came out just the same but according to them (Patrick) they are now bacteria free 🙄, doesn't matter that they are still dirty with removable stains. Waste of $36, not a mention of a refund or anything, said he's had no complaints but clearly has and just denies they were a customer! These photos are the shirts after they have 'cleaned' them.  What a joke

I used these guys some months ago . I had a liverpool fc tracksuit jacket that had been stained for almost a year on the cream coloured sleeve, I was going to throw it away as the stain was quite big. I took it here and it came back as new , stain completely gone.

I took in a very expensive blouse/shirt that had been a victim to red wine. I told them I was fifo and that I would be back in a week or so for it. With changing swings and Christmas I had completely forgot about it until I was driving past it. When I got there, they had asked me it had taken me so long to collect it, in my mind I thought, you had my number, you could've also called me. When I received my blouse the feeling of it was completely wrong, like they had sprayed it with so much starch it had lost its flowiness and beautiful feel to it. They told me they couldn't get it all out with there still being marks on it on the front and on the sleeve cuffs. They said it was too hard to get out and their solution was to go to an alterters and have new cuffs sewed on.

I ended up coming home, using napi San and preen, soaking it twice and washing it twice and it coming out and feeling a lot better than the job they did.

To be honest, I liked old management better, think I need to find myself a new dry cleaners

During my visit, I requested a simple alteration to a triathlon wetsuit, specifically to have the sleeves cut off and the hem trimmed. After the initial quote of $180.00 for the alteration, I expressed my preference for a more cost-effective solution, to which the staff member indicated that cutting only the sleeves would indeed be significantly cheaper.

However, after cutting one sleeve and informing me that completing the full job would cost me $200.00 and the staff member took my wet suit and said that I owed her $80 for cutting ONE sleeve off a wet suit?!!! Which I paid and I felt pressured to pay $80.00 for what was described to me as three minutes of work, including a single measurement and a single cut. She was extremely aggressive, rude.

I have attached photos of the completed work for your reference. . I am disappointed by the experience.

I went to replace a button for a jean, they wanted to charge me $40, more expensive than the pants. I bought the button for 2 dolars in another shop and put it myself in 2 min.

Great Service and a very reasonable price

I arrived back from a European holiday last year, which of course means tons of washing needs to be done.  We had no washing machine as our laundry was in the process of being renovated.

I found Pivot Laundry when I googled - Laundromat near me.
I phoned them and took all my washing to them in garbage bags.  They washed, dried and folded 4 large bags of washing and it was ready the next day, neatly packed into plastic bags.  The price was so reasonable that I nearly decided to stop the laundry renovations and get them to do my washing on a permanent basis.

They were friendly and very efficient and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service.  Thank you.

Took my king size quilt here today after my toddler wee’d on it, it was only $30 and sealed in a plastic bag ready to pick up only 2 hours after I dropped it off! And it smells unreal like cotton candy or something! So happy to find this hidden gem in my own neck of the woods.
