Dry Clean City

Well, there’s a first time for everything, right? I’ve never given anything or anywhere less than a 4-star review. Not that every place I’ve been is outstanding at what they do; I just don’t take the time to review the bad places or services. So, here’s why I gave Dry Clean City a single star.

I’m visiting family in between client visits and spending five days with each. Last week, I was in Cincinnati, and this week, I’ll be in Titusville. After arriving late last night, I’ll spend today and tomorrow with my sister here in Leesburg.

Since I travel extensively and frequently need dry cleaning done in between client visits with only two days in between, I must get this done often. So, I started calling around town to find a dry cleaner that could have my clothes done by close of business tomorrow if I dropped them off by 10 a.m. this morning.

The young lady I asked this question to at Dry Clean City hesitated before she told me, “Yes, but there would be a $5 charge per item!” C’mon, man, seriously! To me, that’s ridiculous, and I told her, “Welcome to Leesburg, Florida, and to have a nice day!” In all my travels over the years I've never had a dry cleaner charge extra for their timely service.

After searching some more, I found Jaime’s Dry Cleaners in Eustis, about 10 miles from Leesburg. I called and asked the same question to a very friendly gentleman, and his response immediately was, “Of course, sir!” I told him, “I’m on my way!”

$50 is not the issue as much as the principle. I have a hard time seeing where this service takes extra work or time. It’s a money grab to me, and it’s unacceptable.

Connie went above and beyond to assist me with dry cleaning this weekend! I needed shirts when the store was closed, they were quick to respond to me and help work out a solution. The shirts were impeccably cleaned, service was 10/10. Def would recommend, over and over!

What a difference a few miles make. The owner and staff at this location were very friendly and helpful with preparing a dress for alterations. I look forward to it being finished next week and I would travel again to Dry Clean City in Leesburg to use this business.

Constantly had black spots on my white lab coat when it was returned. When I asked what they were, they said they had tiny bugs getting under their plastic wrap. I had to have them reclean the garment (which they did at no charge). But then when I returned AGAIN there were black spots on it but in a different area. So they had to reclean it AGAIN (no charge). I didn’t even look at it the third time I came back and just took it because I was sick and tired of them stealing my time and wasting gas to get it redone. Terrible experience

One of the best dry cleaners I've used in 40 years. Convenient location. Always friendly, great service and a tremendous value. I don't trust my expensive silk Tommy Bahama's to just anyone. I highly recommend Davis-Harris Cleaners of Leesburg.

I went there with two pairs of pants that I needed in 24 hours. Not only were they done but they were ready 4 hours early! They saved the day. I appreciated them accommodating me with no issue at all.

This dry cleaner has always been my go-to for their fair prices, quick turnaround, and excellent customer service—but a few weeks ago, they truly blew me away. I had dropped off a dress for alterations, and shortly after, my grandmother unexpectedly passed away. I really wanted that dress for her celebration of life, and without hesitation, they made it happen.
They were kind, compassionate, and somehow managed to work a small miracle to get it done in time. I will never forget their thoughtfulness during such a hard moment. They’ve always done great work, but now I can say from experience, they also have huge hearts. I’ll forever trust them with all my dry cleaning and alterations needs.

If I could give no stars I would. So disappointed. I went to this location a day or two ago to wash blankets and sheets that I prefer not to wash in my machines at home. I've gone to this location many other times as it's the only laundromat I use. I used their big machine which took $12 to put all of my sheets and blankets I set the setting on blankets only to see that it was not spinning or washing my blankets like it should. I inserted two bottles of Tide into the machine and no soap was dispensed. VERY little water came out. The lady that worked there saw that the machine was having trouble so she called customer care. After i explain the situation he stated id get a refund of the $12. I initially DID NOT want a refund, i just wanted my blankets washed. He advised to use other machines. But I could not since I only brought with me exactly what I was going to use. I explained that after I received the refund I would be coming back to rewash those blankets. I then proceeded to put the sheets and blankets into one of their dryers which only made everything smell like wet dog. They've emailed and said they're refusing to process the refund since I did not rewash, using other machines. I would have had to use 3 of the other machines which cost around $9.50 i believe. That was NOT the conversation I had with the man on the phone. I will just not be going there anymore. Very disappointed in how they treat their customers. I also want to add that there was another customer in there who was also having trouble with their machines. Plus they had other machines that had signs on them that stated they were not working. After this experience I advise anyone that's thinking of going there to go somewhere else.

It was a good experience! Clean laundromat but no one there to solve issues that could arise! I do not like the card payment! I had extra charges on my back until about 3 days later they dropped off! Still confused on the charges but seem right! I’d use them again!

This location is very clean and the worker is always nice, willing to help at any moment. Prices are okay, a little more than others in the area but not too expensive. The only thing that sucks but I understand why, it’s lack of rolling racks, but that’s minor and I would be surprised if they had a lot of stolen ones before. Overall would recommend to anyone

Cost way too much for the results that come out of their washers and dryers we should not pay that much to take home dirty wet clothes after spending $40 bucks on three loads and they don't refund your money if you have an issue with a machine like a dryer not working and taking your money and doesn't have an out of order sign on it no one returned your calls nor do they refund your money

I am disabled  and I use a cane to walk. I need to let everyone know how wonderful the laundry technician is. Her name is Jamie. This girl works hard, all while smiling, being helpful to all the customers and she does it with a great attitude.  Jamie even helped me carry my laundry out to my car. Spin City, Jamie at the location in the Sav-A-Lot Shopping Center,  LEESBURG,  you have a wonderful employee. She has a great work ethic she's thorough and pleasant.
This location is clean and everything works is it should.  Plus they have great A/C. I'm so glad I found this place, it's the only place I will do my laundry and I live all the way near Eustis.

This is amazing establishment. Very clean, great prices, my clothes came out so clean and fresh. The last place I used my clothes had a weird smell like dirty washer. This place my clothes smelt great. I don't use cheap products and I don't over stuff wash. Very Happy 😊. Oh and Mary the lady that works there is very nice and helpful. A gem for an employee. Thank you will be back.

I would like to be able to tell you that this is a good clean place to do your laundry, But regretfully it is not. There is a I guess you would call it a make shift wash dry and fold service ran by a very rude and extremely judgmental woman by the name of Mary that took it upon her self to make this one of the most disgusting experiences I have had to endure as of late, I suppose that since I enjoy riding my electric bike specially in the morning and I did this morning to do some laundry. I parked my electric bike with its attached trailer in a proper parking place (with no markings stating that there was preferred parking for automobiles , handicapped,her friend my maybe?
This person Shown in the photos sitting on the bench was unprofessional and absolutely rude myself and some other gentleman that was at the laundry mat on his bike apparently she believed that only homeless people rode or enjoyed cycling and threatens to throw both of us out myself for simply being parked in a parking spot that had no markings  it certainly did not say you can only park in this spot if your dropping me off or that you may only park here if she allows it . Maybe there should be a sign or a warning  rather.  The other gentleman there was enjoying a beverage he purchased from the laundry mats machine but apparently because he was riding a bicycle or rather just standing next to it while reading some papers that he was sharing thoughts for prayer. She accused him of most likely being a drug addict and told he had to leave I never witnessed such prejudice and discrimination against any single person for apparently ridding a bike …. Maybe this is a very dangerous laundry mat and there are Bicycle
Gangs that frequent it and threaten others. I did not witness anything like that but the attitude of this woman certainly suggested something out of the ordinary besides the attitude that was being given… I would suggest if you must use this laundry mat maybe make sure she is closed at the time ???? Good luck there certainly is at least a thought that something should be cleaned out of there

What a wonderfully operated outfit. Ms. Mary has saved me a ton of money compared to a larger chain Laundromat that has several locations. My laundry was perfect and smelled fantastic. I will be recommending this location for wash and fold services.
