Took my coat here to get the zipper fixed... They said give them a week to come pick it up, but I gave them 1wk and 2days and when I came to pick it up they still hadn't fixed my zipper. 😠 It was two days before Easter and I needed my coat 😩, so I just told them to give me my coat... The real kicker is that they charged me $15 to clean it 😳, when it really didn't even need cleaning. I only let them clean it because it was there getting fixed 🔧... So why not get the works. Welp instead of getting the works, I got played. 🕹😔

They hemmed my gown for my daughter wedding. They fixed my Harley jacket zipper price is reasonable.

Saturday, May 20, 2017 - Approximately 2:00pm - I have been trying to find a decent laundromat here in Rockford. I don't hold out much hope now with the 3rd try today. It looks like there just aren't any.

As you will see with the pics, this laundromat (like the other two - Charles St & Mulford) is tiny. Room is at a premium. There isn't any moving room when the laundry mat has more than a dozen people in there. And this is not taking into consideration when kids are running loose all over the place causing chaos since the parents are too busy on theirs phones talking and texting. Or they just don't care.

There is a good selection of front loaders and they range in price from $4.00 up to $8.00. They seem to be in good condition. And there is an abundance of dryers. That's about all of the good things that can be said.

We used two $5.00 front loaders and they ran for 23 mins each for the cold cycle. They seemed to wash okay. We used two dryers which cost $0.25 for 8 minutes each quarter. We put the clothes in for 32 minutes each dryer ($1.00) and the clothes dried sufficiently.

The folding table that we wanted to use was filthy, with all sorts of dirt and liquid stuff on it. We bagged the clothes and left.

The following pics will give a good idea of how the laundromat looks. There are a few pics already up on the net, I am adding more.

The problem with all of the laundromats so far is that YES they have plenty of dryers. But they are always FULL. And the amount of dryers being used to the amount of people who are in the laundromat is out of proportion. That means that the cleaners is using the dryers and that takes away from the laundromat customers getting a chance to dry their clothes is a timely manner. The cleaners need to section off their dryers and leave the rest of the dryers for the rest of us. But that won't happen.

Hours of operation that you see in the one picture posted on the net is for the dry cleaners side of the laundromat. The self serve laundry is open 7 days a week 7:00am - 9:00pm with last load at 7:30pm.

The biggest problem I have here in Rockford with laundromats is that there isn't any 24 hour laundromats. Why? Is it a crime issue? I tend to think so. What city this size doesn't have 24 hr laundromats? Obviously Rockford. Another reason why I hate this city and will be so glad when I leave it for good.

My garments were cleaned and pressed to my higher standards of quality and the most basic things were the ones that I have owned for years actually looked great.

My grandmother passed away and I’ve brought a dress in that she wanted to be bury in. I had a short window and the dress had a stained. They didn’t make any promises that they can remove the stain. They deliver my grandmother dress in a short window and removed the stain. My grandmother dress looked beautiful and she looked beautiful in it. Thank you for being a part of my grandmother memory! ❤️

The laundry is clean and an attendant is on duty almost always the washers are in new working order and if needed the water is HOT !!  There is 4 sizes of washers so no load is too small or too large. Easy to find ample parking open very long hours.

Went to this laundromat Sunday afternoon 11/30/25 after our washing machine and dryer were extremely busy due to a very large household! The staff member working the counter was incredibly helpful in helping me pick out my detergent products and even walked over with me to the laundry card kiosk to help me through the entire process.

The environment was kept amazingly clean and was quiet and comfortable to spend an afternoon doing my laundry in. I appreciate the attentiveness of their staff and the consideration of other customers while I was there. Their coffee pot is an amazing addition to the experience as is the security in using your laundry card to access the bathrooms. I’m also a huge fan of arcade games so those were a bonus.

Even though I have a working washer and dryer, I plan to continue to use happy life as it is a positive, dedicated space I can get all my laundry done in one go no matter how much it has piled up throughout the week. I really enjoyed my experience there!

I do a lot of business at this place as i drop off my laundry and get it done often. Today, I get the text at 3pm that its ready, I drive 9 miles and get there 30 minutes later and nobody is there and I have to leave town at 6pm. The door says “will return at 7” Whats the point of sending me this text and telling me youre open until 11 and I waste my time and gas plus now im in a crappy situation because I cant pick it up. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Update: I called and the lady working today (1/9/26 @7:30pm) gave me an attitude. I politely asked her not to give me an attitude and she proceeded to get louder and hang up the phone. This lady has a disgusting attitude problem and should seek help. Who talks to customers like this? Have some shame lady.

Lots of recent improvements including added dryers are a huge plus (especially on busy weekends). Kids area is nice and CLEAN. Washer soap dispensers occasionally need attention (have mold in them) and on busy days the Marijuana smell from other customers can be oppressive. Going mid week has always been better. Staff is super friendly and helpful. This is our goto for large laundry needs.

I use their drop off service . As a long haul truck driver it's hard to find time to get laundry done. So the service of wash, dry and fold is always satisfactory!!!  10/10 happy customer.

The staff was very friendly, and the place was extremely clean, which I appreciated. It was a bit on the pricey side—I paid $16.95 to have my daughter’s small dress washed and steamed. We went ahead with it because the dress had a strong ammonia smell. Unfortunately, even after the service, the odor remained, which was disappointing.

Savon did an excellent job cleaning and preserving my Mom's 70+ year old wedding dress and all the accompanying garments (veils, hoop slip, reception dress and even a head piece made of a faux pearl like substance.) They are so friendly there too plus there is original artwork in the lobby to view! Thank you again for doing a good job at a reasonable price!

8a.m. (ct) Mon. Oct. 3, 2022. I took 5 Brand New Items into K's on E. State St. Rockford, IL to be PRESS ONLY. I spoke with & gave my clothes to Martha, the owner. I explicitly said, PRESS ONLY & removed the Clothing tags in front of Martha. I did NOT realize until AFTER I had picked up my clothes & taken them home that I WAS CHARGED FULL DRY CLEANING PRICES. When I questioned Martha about it she said, "We pressed them by hand & I gave you $12.50 discount". I had frequent this cleaning before. But, I WILL NEVER GO TO K's Cleaners on E. State St again. I was late for a wedding and had a wrinkled shirt and had called other dry cleaners for an emergency ironing but the only one that would do it was K's Cleaners. They saved me....But on top of there top notch service they had done a superb job on making this shirt look better then brand new. Definitely have my business for life.

K's cleaners did a great job on cleaning my clothes. I brought one suit, two suit jackets, two dress shirts and two dresses here. One of the dresses I brought in was pure white and made of delicate material. When I went to pick up my clothes, the employee pointed out that there was a small spot on the white dress that they were unable to get out because the material was so delicate. This spot was tiny and very hard to see unless pointed out. I appreciated that they were honest and straightforward about their limitations. Everything else that came back seemed to be as good as new. I plan on coming back here for my future dry cleaning.

I'd give this business zero stars if possible. Do yourself a favor and select a different dry cleaner before bringing your items here. The owner, Martha, does not accept accountability for her work and finds it appropriate to insult customers when she fails to deliver the items by the promised delivery date. I have never experienced such unprofessional conduct from a business owner. She had the audacity to ask me if I routinely try to get free services when businesses fail to deliver the items as promised and then made excuses for not notifying me of the delay in advance. I paid in full for the service and never asked for free service. I simply asked for an explanation as to why I was not given a courtesy call in advance to notify me that Davigs would not have my item ready on the promised delivery date. All I got was excuses and insults from the owner. I won't be back. Edited to add, that Martha, the owner was the one who was extremely rude and said that all businesses are failing to meet delivery dates these days and she was sorry if she had a life outside of work. She did not offer an apology whatsoever and then asked if I was trying to get the service free by complaining about my jacket not being there and not having been notified about a subsequent delivery delay. The worker at the store was polite unlike the owner and made numerous attempts to reach the owner because the jacket was promised to be ready for my military daughter by 4PM on 8/20 with no further delay notifications made by Davig's.  The owner initially repaired the coat after it was damaged by her cleaning process and then subsequently said it was damaged again after my daughter dropped it off a few weeks later. So, if it was damaged it was due to the owner's failure to properly repair it in the first place. I have the receipt to prove it was promised by 4PM on 8/20. A simple courtesy call about the unexpected delay could have remedied the situation but instead the owner had to resort to insulting me and justifying her customer service issues by saying restaurants and Lowe's don't deliver on time either so why should she.

I come here pretty often, and it’s always such a great experience! The place is always very clean and well-kept, which I really appreciate.

There’s a worker named Kathy who is truly the sweetest! She’s always here with a smile, super helpful, pleasant, and just an all-around kind person. You can tell she really cares about the customers and the community.

I also love that this place gives back they do community wash days where people with kids in school can wash for free, and they even provide the washing liquid to help out. That says a lot about their heart and what they stand for.

Wasn’t busy for a Saturday.  The place is usually spic and span clean. Went Saturday 2/22/2025 around 6:15 p.m. was extremely disappointed. The place was not at all clean. Tables were dirty, stuff all over the floor with in it all was just gross. Bathroom needed attending also. Was shocked to see it this way.  First time I’ve ever seen attendant not attending to grounds at all.  The 2 hours I was there she just sat on her phone. Hopefully next time I’m there this won’t be the case.

They mislabeled my suit and it was hard for me to pick up without waiting and multiple phone calls it was my first time there. I will give it another shot because we all know sometimes these things happen and that’s how we learn but hopefully it’s more organized. I brought dress pants to be dry cleaned, nothing more. They ended up starching then with a crease. These particular dress pants are skinny leg fit and not meant to be creased as it shrinks the size. I took them back and the re did them without the crease, however there is still the creasing because they pressed and starched them that way initially.

Have been using them for a few years. Very friendly, and they have military and veteran discount. Clothes always clean and pressed nicely.

Charles Street Laundromat

Very unprofessional took my things out of the washer because “ someone “ needed to use it but no one was using it. And just left it in the middle of the isle. After there machine stopped working and it was there own fault I left to go down the street to get some food after having to wait an extra 30 mins and they take my belongings out and just leave them in the middle of the isle. Na never coming back hope better management takes over

Terrible place to wash most of the machines are out of order doesn’t wash your clothes properly. Today is my first time being in this laundromat and I had issues when my washing machine was finished. I open the door and it was a bunch of water still in the washing machine so I talked to someone who worked there and they couldn’t do anything about it, but the lady at the desk was nice enough to give me my money back  to start over and try another machine… then the two owners came to collect coins, and I said to the lady about the issue with the washing machine, and that some of my clothes are still wet and were so soapy, but she could care less…. The 2  photos before last are the owners collecting coins …I will never ever ever go to this laundromat again I don’t care if this is  the only laundromat in the world

Been going here for years but today will be the last time. No longer accepting cash, debit or credit they force you to purchase ''cards'' adding additional costs on top of laundry cost. Cards do not give change and can't be redeemed for remaining balance. Sad!

If you want to get your clothes super clean and done in a clean laundry mat, with new machines and other upgrades,and with helpful and knowledgeable staff. This is the place to go!!

Broken machines, expensive prices, long wait times for machines. If it wasn’t the closest laundromat I wouldn’t use it. The only reason it gets 2 stars are the employees and the Wi-Fi. The employees are excellent it’s really a shame that the rest is bunk.

It's 6:25 am no one is here.The mexican lady was always on time I thought they was doing better but some the staff always late and don't open at times they should.

After coming here for 10 years.  I think it's time to finally find a new laundromat. If it's not the prices constantly going up then it's the weird employees. One employee is always outside smoking or cant be found. The Mexican lady follows you around like you're stealing your own clothes.  She will literally come sit next to where I'm washing clothes and watch me the whole time.  Then move when It's time for me to leave.  Weird much? Oh and the employees at night. Especially the black guy. DO NOT COME AFTER 8PM because he will stomp around with an attitude or lock the doors on you if you don't stay inside. I'm guessing new management, but I'm over it. Every month it's a price increase.  Not just a quarter a whole dollar.

24/7 LAUNDROMAT

I've came here before and never had a problem but tonight I did. I used 2 of the biggest washing machines and I started my loads, I forgot a couple things and the machines says you can pause/stop it so I did, I put my stuff in and shut it and try to start it and it says I have to pay $18.99 again. I find an employee and ask him why it's saying I have to pay again he tells me if you stop/pause the machine it takes your money, you have to pay again. I told him that wasn't right, I told him he needed to refund the money to me or do something he tells me "he's just the cleaning guy, he can't do anything about it, and he was the only one here". So I had to pay another $18.99 because my clothes were already wet. They shouldn't have that option on the machine if it's going to do that or at least put a sign up that says if you stop/pause the machine you have to pay again. Not happy. Won't come back.

It's very, very clean. Lots of new machines and staff are extremely nice. Reasonably priced. I only spent about an hour here but would definitely come back anytime im in the area. Thank you for a wonderful 1st time experience

It's a nice, clean place to come. The staff is always nice and  helpful.
The longer I come to this place the more it doesn't seem to be great. Yes, it's clean but there always seems to be issues with machines and while some staff is helpful, others are disrespectful. Plus, I last time I was there it was around 8-9am and drunk, homeless ppl are allowed to hang outside on the property always asking for money and causing problems.

After loading our dryer and the dryer start button not working we loaded another dryer and had the attendant refund our 1.75 she then told us our 2 small blankets and our 5 pairs of jeans was "no good dry on low" setting we told her we usually do low setting for 45-1 hour and we do the same loads every week. we weren't able to load anymore time after her 30 minutes for 1.75 refund so we had to come back early and found that both of the dryers we were using had been switched to high heat (which can be changed after initial setting. ) We added the 15 minutes to my blankets on low and came back. sure enough the setting was changed to high again and upon arriving the lady was behind counter, doors locked and sitting on her phone watching videos . I would like to contact the owner and have them pull video footage showing she tampered with my items while using the laundromat service.

I went in there to find every machine had soap or softener on them and on the floor. One machine had actual feces in it and when I told the attendant I was told "so". Will not be back

This is my first time coming here and I agree with previous reviews, the place is quiet, spotless, beautiful. State of the art machines, laundry carts that I've never seen used anywhere else but are awesome. And it's super affordable. Slightly cheaper than the place I normally go. The only complaints I have are that the dryers make you do 30 minute intervals, and none of the machines have an actual time limit listed in minutes. It's just a guage. Other than that, this place is fantastic and I'll definitely be back. With a family of five, these mega machines are incredible!

Nicest laundry mat I’ve ever been to. Everything is off preloaded cards so you don’t have to get 800 quarters. They have small-huge machines $5-$18. Dryers have three temps and work quick. Such a great addition to the neighborhood. I only ever go to wash bedding. The gentleman working was cleaning while we were here. I heard him explain everything to a lady, they hired the right guy for the job. They have a kids area with little seats and books. Nice comfy chairs and benches for adults. Soap and dryer sheets offered in venting machine. Pizza and pints of gelato for sale $6-$12. Other snack machine as well.

I been going here since they open. I love this laundromat.  You can wash eat good drink you some good coffee , all while playing the slot machine.  It have a awesome corner for kids. It's a very clean and quiet place to wash. I come here lease twice a week every other week. I love the staff they always ready to help. I love the fact the clean the washer after every wash. This the place to be for comfort all while washing.. thanks for this laundromat ❤️

I have been coming here since you opened and love it here and today I come back to get my stuff out of the washer and the attendant removed my stuff from the washer telling me it had been done . Mind you my alarm had went off and I was pulling in the parking lot , always set a timer and come back . Never have and a problem. Then she is telling customers make sure they are back before there dryer stops if they leave . No one should be touching anyones clothes. The place was not busy and there was no reason for her to touch my clothes or remove them from the washer .

My ultimate favorite place to do laundry! Every time I come in, there are always washers available and friendly staff ready to help. The machines are clean, smell-free, newer, quicker, faster, and quieter — everything you’d want in a laundromat.

The staff is amazing — cheerful, respectful, and welcoming with open arms. I’ve even had the pleasure of experiencing two of their location launches (Riverside & Mulford), and both have been fantastic!

Just got out of 5 Alarm Coin Laundry Mat and I'm feeling like my laundry is squeaky clean! The machines were spotless and a breeze to use. Their prices are clearly listed on the website, it’s always clean when I come in, and there are always machines available. Since they installed the 5x load washers and the 3x load with new dryers it's a lot faster too get your laundry done it's always clean and there's a tv room to relax in

This is the worst laundry mat I’ve ever been to. All the washers are outdated, a quarter of them are out of service, some are filthy and do not work well at all. I had to rewash some of my laundry.

There’s a list of rules everywhere and a sign encouraging you to use the app. It does not include that NOT ALL washers and dryers are part of the app, so I wasted my money adding it to the app. For the washers that do accept the app, did not connect to the washer and took my money multiple times causing my account balance to be insufficient. I had to use cash instead causing me to spend double of what I should’ve.

I’m genuinely convinced the owners deleted the negative reviews because this place is genuinely awful.

This laundromat is great! Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't have cash?? No problem!! Just download the app and add money.. Presto!! Easy to navigate app. Dryers work wonderfully! This will forever be my spot for washing comforters and rugs!

The inside is pretty clean.  I usually drop off my laundry and pick it up.  They make it very easy to drop and pick up by having a drive though window, and what's even better is that the drive though has an overhead to protect your clothes from the weather while either dropping off or picking up.  Last, I have had really good service, the employees are friendly and always smile.  The prices are reasonable, in fact cheaper than some other laundromats I have been to. One of my favorite laundromats to go to.
