Washer took my money called her and she said she would look into it to see if I was able to get a refund. Later that day she called me saying she tried the washer and it worked so I asked her if the cameras worked she said yes but she didn’t want to go that far into looking needless to say spent $10 on one wash 🥲 lady’s a joke! Won’t refund anyone who has a problem but still she can’t afford a working open sign 😂

In some of the machines its like dry cleaning, barely enough water to get clothes wet. Some of the dryers work great some not so great it's a crap shoot.. And then a alot of time is spent on spin cycle when washing. Needs more wash time and more water!! Has gotten better, out I know what machines to use but I have a washing machine now so only use the dryers and they are hit n miss.

Went about 2 weeks ago the washer took my money. There's a note by the money machine saying to leave a message. I called & the lady was rude said it's 6am & I told her will it say called this number & leave a message so I did she tell me it doesn't say that & hung up on me. I will not go back there anymore.

The lady that runs this place was completely rude! She treated my mom and my 80 year old grandmother with disrespect. They ended up leaving the laundromat (wet clothes) and going to a different, realizing they had forgotten their quarters and soap, when returning back to the laundromat to retrieve the money and soap the owner had taken them and said to my mom and grandmother “ I thought you left them for emotional support.”

This laundromat is the cleanest one I have ever seen. It is big, bright, clean, spacious and there are many different sizes of washers. From two load ones all the way up to six load ones. When I was there the owner ( I assume it was ) deep cleaned every single one them which is nice to see! Makes you feel you can actually wash your clothes without having this icky feeling!

The place needs to be cleaned. Machines were fifty and smelled. The floors were sticky and bathroom was horrible. Most of the washers were not working and the price went up.

It's definitely a better choice than the other Laundromat that I'm aware of in town. There's no obvious smell, money isn't regularly stolen from you by machines and your things aren't either. Still wouldn't leave them unsupervised, although many people do. Good location to run to the store quickly. Cleaner and definitely smells better, without standing water like other facility. Haven't had to deal with management, which is a good thing. Definitely your better choice if in need of a laundry facility.

It is the cleanest in town. But that's not saying much.  I still have to clean out at least one or more washers every time I go. And the praice keeps going up. It is also the safest in town to go to. You still get the occasional homeless person coming in asking for money, but nothing like the other in town. Overall, I like this laundry mat.

What a dump. Looks like it's never cleaned. In another review the owner responded and said it gets cleaned twice a week. You own a business and only clean it twice a week? That's nasty. Another customer was in there and she said those top load washers haven't worked for 5 years.  Someone should open another laundromat in this area and put this place out of business since the owner obviously doesn't care about it.

So many broken machines! None of the top loaders were working, several of the front loaders were out of order (ours stopped in the middle of the cycle), and a few dryers down. The place was dirty, stuff on the floor and machines needed wiping- but not disgusting. I gave it two stars because the dryers we used got our clothes very dry without using too much time.  If it weren’t the only laundromat in town I would have gone elsewhere.

Dirtiest laundry mat I have ever been in!!!  We have been traveling from Idaho and all through the Great Lakes area and this one is the worst!!  Floors are dusty dirty with all kinds of hair and trash. Bathroom had no soap and toilet barley flushed. . Machines don’t spin enough water out but the overly hot dryers took care of that. I work locally in Pella, and the business that I work at uses Village Cleaners. I have to tape my sleeves closed every single week because they can't sew a button on in a week's time. I also have buttons missing on the front of my shirts also. Unfortunately my place of work determines that I can't go a day without a uniform, so I told them that I'd rather wear my clothes with missing buttons than go a week without. If I was paying this bill, we would get our service from some other place.

Just got back from Pella, a Dutch community situated roughly 25 miles south and a little east of Newton. I use the Village Cleaners located there for all my bagpiping gear. Great people, great service at fair prices, never ever disappointed.

I dropped off a suit jacket for dry cleaning on Tuesday afternoon.  The woman who works there NEVER smiles or has any sense of customer service. I felt like I was annoying her by making her actually work.  I was told the coat wouldn't be ready until Friday afternoon...

I picked up the coat today and was charged $22.  I saw on the bill that not only was I charged for dry cleaning but that they charged me for alterations on the coat!  When I asked the man working about this, he said that they had replaced the hem and proceeded to show me.  I told him the hem didn't need to be done and that I didn't ask for that.  Instead of apologizing and giving me a full refund he continued to say that "there must have been a loose string" and asked  "if I was sure" I hadn't asked for it to be hemmed.  I'm pretty sure that I would remember having requested a hem replacement on a coat that I had purchased a month ago.  When I demanded to see the original hand-written receipt and asked what was written on it, he said that it only had dry cleaning as the reason it was brought in.  Despite this, he still gave me a hard time about the hemming and begrudgingly said "I can refund you the money if you want".

Village Cleaners does not understand the idea of customer service.  You cannot perform alterations which haven't been asked for and then charge the customer for doing this.  This isn't the first time I've been to this dry cleaning establishment and I am questioning the exorbitant charges from previous visits (which I never got receipts for).  I would rather drive to Des Moines than return to have my dry cleaning done at Village Cleaners.

We get school Marching Band uniforms cleaned here. They pick them up, then deliver once they are done. We have only had great experiences with them.

$50 for a comforter that still has obvious stains and $101 for alterations on suit coat sleeves is exorbitant to say the least. Never again.
