I had two dresses altered—one was a bridesmaid dress and the other was a golf dress. Let’s just say both dresses turned out perfectly & fit me perfectly. The prices were very affordable and reasonable compared to most alterations I’ve seen in the area. Since I had two dresses that needed to be done, it took about a week, but I’ve seen people say it was done much faster if you only had one. I’ll definitely be using them again when I need another alteration.

Needed an alteration on a formal dress (hem at length, and stitch on side), and let’s just say, they were quick like lightning! Dropped it off Tuesday, it was ready by Thursday. Price was super affordable too compared to CHS alteration pricing. Will definitely return for both alterations, and dry cleaning services! Great service!

Been using them for a couple years now and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything comes back in a timely manner and looks great even when I bring in things with stains. I bring all my comforters to be washed here too, which is awesome. They are also able to do same day and next day service, which has come in handy a couple times when I’ve been in a pinch. I have used Charlestion Cleaners since they opened, probally more than 20 years now.  They have always done a wonderfull job with cleaning & alterations.  Never once have I had an issue! The owners are great & as well as the ladies working the front counter.

This is a horrible cleaning service! They have ruined my St John sweater by destroying the buttons and tried to give me my sweater back with cheap plastic buttons with reynolds  wrap foil wrapped around it and yelled at me when I tried to tell them what they did!
I gave them another chance after they finally offered to give me a credit for half them amount the sweater cost me and they destroys my Veronica Beard white linen shorts  that I only wore once! It came back with wine stains on it and the hem on it was completely destroyed! The shorts are destroyed!!
These people are rude and DO NOT take responsibility for anything they do to your clothes! Do NOT use them!

They cannot remove simple basic food stains. Brought in a shirt, pointed out stain, came back with same stains still there. It looked like they didn’t even try. The pressing was also very poor with wrinkles on the front. Would not recommend.

The best way to judged a business is how they treat their customers. I dropped off a new pottery barn comforter for them to wash. This was not my first time dropping off a comforter. I dropped the comforter off with a few stains and no smell. My sister got me this comforter for my birthday 2 months back. My pup tends to run over it, so some stains.

Came back, and it smelled like a shoe and mildewy because they didn't dry it out. I took it home and couldn't even sleep with it because it was so bad. The manager told me it was because it wasn't dried out. They attempted to wash it three more times. I came back two times to get the smell out. The smell was still there. The lady up front was vulgar about it. When I returned barely could understand her accent, somewhat blamed me for my comforter when they told me it was their fault the first time and I knew it was on them because it wasn't a old comforter.

Offered no refund. They just told me there was nothing they could do. I do plan to follow up and review every site to let people know. Note: this is not my first time using them. I have been going for over a year to wash comforters. My favorite location closed in West Ashley, so I had to come here. This is not the first time I questioned the quality of my wash, but it's the first time it was noticeable. All my comforters before smelled good--worst service. NEVER GOING BACK!

On June 21, I dropped off a dress to get alterations. Today is July 29 and I have yet to receive my dress back. I have been told several occasions either via phone, in person or via text that it is not back from cleaning (they now have to clean prior to doing alterations) or it is with alterations or I promise I would have it by Friday (7/25) and nothing. All I want is my dress back or the value I paid for it. I never wore the dress. I am frustrated and highly upset how this matter is being handled. An employee gave me her # so I could text her a picture of the dress. She has been communicating very professionally until now - since I asked for reimbursement. No need to get uptight now. Y'all have my property and wont return it. All this could have been resolved by returning what I have been asking for. Sign, still waiting on dress or reimbursement.

Had suit and dress shirt to be cleaned and heavy starch on the shirt. I requested arms of the shirt with creases. That didn't happen. This place has become worse throughout the years. Not going back to these idiots.

When I dropped my clothes I told them I wanted to remove a stain on a blazer and they took the clothes. Stains were not removed and they forced us to pay. Their behavior is very bad they even didn't say sorry and were rude.

Do NOT come here.    I brought in a black suit jacket, and they returned it with a huge mark on the front and simply acted like it was that way when I turned it in.     I took it to another cleaners who mentioned that it was a burn mark where they obviously put an iron or something on it that wasn’t meant for a suit. I’ve recently started going to The WashTub Laundry, and it’s easily the best laundromat I’ve ever been to. The ladies who work there — especially Sherry and Dee (hope I spelled that right!) — are always so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Sherry even remembered me a week later when I came back for towels I’d left behind—she kept them safe for me because she didn't have my phone number. Truly thoughtful!

The space itself is spotless and full of life, with beautiful plants all around that clearly get a lot of love and attention. It gives the whole place such a warm, homey feeling that makes doing laundry something I actually look forward to.

These ladies make this laundromat feel more like a community than a chore. I’m so grateful I found this place — it’s clean, comfortable, and the customer service is truly exceptional.

Went into West Ashley to do laundry, and the place was packed and people hollering and being loud. I ain’t got time for that nonsense.
Decided to go elsewhere and it was Washtub. From the outside, not much to look at, but I live on the road and my last time I did laundry was in Memphis, this had to be better.

Today was the first time I have been to the Washtub Laundry mat in years. Wow was I surprised 😮,  it was clean, all washers and dryers and money machines worked. The biggest surprise was a young lady by the name of Sherry, she actually welcomed me. She was very helpful, she walked me through how the machines worked where to put the detergent,  about how long it would take to wash and dry my bed spread and towels,  told me how to get money to use the coin machine, she didn't miss a step and on top of all that professional personality,  she was so personal.  It was like talking to an old friend.  If you haven't been to the Washpot lately you should really try it. I thought I was going to be in a dirty laundry mat for hours but it was a great day. This place is a joke. They charge $8.35 to dry clean a button down shirt: the national average is $2.00-$5.00.

Dropped off an extra large comforter back in April. We left for the summer and totally forgot to grab it before. I had figured it would be gone already, as it's October. Decided to call for the heck of it, and they still had it!! The comforter had seen better days before we dropped it off but looks brand new now!

When I visited them last, there was a rather difficult customer being very rude to one of their employees. However, I thought the employee managed the situation with grace, patience, and the best possible customer service considering the difficult situation. If I could give zero stars I would. Incredible rude. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress to have it cleaned after only wearing it once. They quoted me over the phone $18 and it was $47 when I picked it up. They took each section of tulle and charged each of the pieces which were merely pieces to make it a convertible dress (tiny). Didn’t try to make it right and doubled down on the fact that this was an appropriate price for cleaning a dress. Don’t press your luck here they are sketchy and will find any way to up charge your bill.

We have an older bedspread we had saved after buying another one just for a “change”. When we moved we decided to use our old favorite one again but it needed a cleaning. Don’t come here at all. First they almost gave me somebody else’s clothes and it’s by name. If you do take a picture of your stuff before you drop it off. I dropped off my brand new skirt with no stains and wanted it to be dry cleaned. Picked it up with two big stains on my new skirt. And my other top which is white and black still looks dingy. They said they put tape or let us know that there’s a spot or there’s stuff that you can’t get out but that’s crazy that it looks dirtier when I get it then when I turned it in. Don’t come here. PLEASE warning please don’t come to this place there’s a reason for their score. I will never come here again, and I’m not even sure why my hubby dropped him off here. They probably will say it’s a lie. (Never had an issue anywhere else and they’re lying about stains that was not there prior to turning this new garment in. I just wanted it dry cleaned to get the smell out and get it back looking dingy and has marks on both my items (the poka dot is not as bad but can definitely tell this is not a good cleaners) But these ppl are not a good company. I dropped two dresses off for an upcoming event to be dry cleaned. Unfortunately, I missed the pick-up time and realized it on a weekend day when the business is typically closed. I left a message and thankfully the owner reached out and agreed to meet me during off-hours so could pick up the outfits in time for my flight and before the event. I appreciate them being understanding of my mistake and the dresses looked great!

The first time they gave my white shirt a nice stain. Tried to fix it on the spot but it didn't work. Luckily they were able to get the vast majority out by the next day. Next time, they forgot to give me my slacks even though the tag was on the hanger. Check their work make sure all of your items are there before you leave.

Usually I have no problem here. The older gentleman who is there at night is ok but he has his days where he closes down the laundry facility early before 11pm when I’ve came in at 9:30pm to dry clothes he says he is closing bc his ride is coming at 10:30pm( Not the first time this has happened btw). Mind you they close at 11 pm per the sign on the door that’s been posted. I’ve been coming here for a year this man has been doing this. He also closes one of the other sliding doors early so customers are always having to walk the opposite side. He does it on purpose. I ask him about policy that day I was waiting on my clothes to get dried he claimed he closes and opens the store when he wants so I ask him if he has a policy bc why tell a customer you don’t have standard operating hours you follow and then what are the hours then? He said have a good night so I told him y’all need to update the signage that’s not my problem as a customer if it says you closed at 11pm then ok and all the other  locations says 11pm as well.

This man is very rude the doors was locked at 8 PM on September 5 and the machine are 10 dollars and it doesn’t gain soap and I pored 2 bottles in my machine and it’s only water spining my clothes I will never come here again and when I was watching my clothes to see why it wasn’t getting soapy the man told me why am I standing there watching my clothes and I told him the machine wasnt gaining soap and he said let me see ur soap it’s because of the soap u got I use this soap at every other place and tht never happen before it’s just ur machines are broken then he took somebody’s soap and try to put some more soap in my machine with somebody else soap tht was in his basket by his clothes this old man is rude and I will keep reporting him stop locking the doors before 9:30 last wash FIRE him he has no business skills at all no people skills

I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE!!! There is an elderly guy who likes to close early when the closing time is 11:00 pm. I had one load to wash and dry. Apparently, the last wash is at 9:30 pm and the last dry is at 10:00/10:30 pm. I wasn’t aware. I arrived at 9:40 pm. Since I only had one load, I would have been done before 11:00 pm. I get that there’s rules, but there is a certain way to speak to customers. This elderly manager has zero people skills.

I didn’t know he was a manager at first. I thought he was a customer. As I’m trying to take one of the bins outside to load my clothes, he is following me, yelling and screaming. Again, I didn’t know he was a manager at this point. Then, I asked him, and he finally said yes. He could have introduced himself and explained the rules politely.

The rules aren’t the problem, it’s the way he treats and talks to customers. He doesn’t have the patience to work at this laundromat. He is extremely rude and didn’t answer my question when I asked him what time the laundromat closed. He has zero people skills and talks to customers any kind of way. There has to be someone better to manage this laundromat. Please hire someone else for the job, IMMEDIATELY!!!

Although I love doing my laundry here I hate having to fight with the HappyNest workers.  The HappyNest people will come here and take up 5 or 6 washers then 5 or 6 dryers to wash and dry laundry.   I then have to compete to dry my one basket of laundry.  I understand the HappyNest people are trying to make money but it’s unfair to basically do commercial laundry service in this facility.

Very expinsive washer 8.oo amd dryer clothes is 4 min a quarter for an outdated laundromat not worth it. Very dark area and scared to park

I used this place to wash linens off a boat at a near by yacht club and heres my take on it: kinda run down, machines are old. the prices are very high.  all the other area stores run MUCH better outfits and they charge less.  not to mention some lady was taking my comforter out the wash as I was walking back in to put it in the dry. asked her what she was doing with my comforter and she said she thought it was hers even though she only had one washer with clothes only in it. KEEP an eye on your stuff.

First and last visit. Went late night when I couldn't sleep. Needed to wash a comforter. Gross. Floor covered in trash. Dryer sheets, hair balls,etc. Had to step over vomit in parking lot. At least 3 homeless people camping out. Half of the machines out of order. Wet towels against many machines soaking up leaks . Really dont feel like I cleaned anything....

First time here as I am searching for a regular place to wash clothes for the next few months. This isn’t it.  It’s clean and not in a bad location, but lots of their machines are out of order so if it’s even a little busy you’ll be waiting.  Of the few machines working there were a few that just had laundry sitting in them so clearly people don’t care that other do wash here too.  I’ll finish what I started today and then the search for a good place continues.

Very welcoming, nice establishment! The machines work very well. The people are so kind! Very kind woman showed me how everything worked, and even put in some quarters for me in the dryer, very sweet lady. First time here went wonderful, and if I ever need to come back I will for sure.

“The Laundry Spot” hands down the best laundry spot in town. With Pricing that’s second to none, and the fact they are 24/7! This has became the wife’s and I “go to spot” we have no problem taking the 14 min drive all while passing 4 other laundromats to boot. I went last night around 10:30pm, not very crowded, got in and out in under an hour and a half. They have an ATM, change machine but also the ability to scan and pay right on your phone. $7.50 per wash and .25 cent for 4 minutes to dry. (2.50$ dried everything for me) clean facility!
