I have been a regular customer of this dry cleaner. I have had no problems with my laundry in the past few times, but this time the experience was terrible. I sent an orange goose down jacket for dry cleaning, but when I got it back, I found that the jacket was stained and turned black, and it was completely different from its original color! I was very sad and disappointed that such expensive clothes were ruined by washing. What made me even more angry was that I did not receive any response after contacting the store, and there was no attitude to solve the problem at all. Such service is really unacceptable. I hope everyone will choose this store with caution!

Great service from dropping off the suit to the picking up of the suit! The employees as well as the owner are friendly and easy to deal with. They did their jobs with big smiles on their faces! Used their service first time and everything seems to be fast and okay, BUT they weren't able to remove pen stains and few other stains on my beige blazer, so after paying $153 for 3 pants and 4 blazers, I was thinking pen stains wouldn't be an issue. When I asked lady that helped me out "So you guys weren't able to remove those stains" she said "apparently no".

I came across Metro Cleaners a few tears ago and have never been disappointed. They do a great job quickly, professionally, and at a reasonable price.
I recently brought in a suit jacket that had mud plashed on it (spring weather) and they got it clean with no evidence of a stain.
I absolutely recommend them.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience.I brought in a short plain cocktail dress (just plain white fabric) for cleaning, and was severely overcharged. The dress was only worth $200 and I was charged $120 for this one dress to be cleaned. When I questioned the charges the staff informed me they charged it as a wedding dress. I informed them it was not a wedding dress and eventually they gave me a $30 credit.  I am still paying almost half the price of the dress for it to be dry cleaned. I paid more than expected. I also got my wedding dress cleaned here and it cost $180 and it still has dirt on the bottom of the dress. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I take all my dry cleaning here and have always had a good experience. I’ve most recently took in my wedding dress and it was filthy due to the outdoor elements, they did an amazing job bringing it back to its original condition just some stains in the under lining which doesn’t show so very pleased. This is a fantastic Laundromat. It's clean, bright and efficient. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. I had a very bad experience. The lady is so arrogant. I gave my blanket last time and told her to wash and dry. I paid around $25. I blanket smells like tide. It was so strong as if it didnt get washed properly. I called her and let know about this nicely. Now after a month i brought my blanket again( different one) to washed and dried by the person there as i cannot wait that long. She denied my services and said you can go somewhere else. Worst customer service. Never going back to that place again.

I needed a suit dry cleaned on short notice. I corresponded on yelp with an employee who pointed me to the 37 McPhillips location. I dropped off my suit and picked it up the same time the next day. The linen shirt looks well handled after pressing, no noticeable wrinkles, and the suit looks in as great of condition as it was when I sent it in. Friendly staff, fast service, can’t complain.

Worst service If i could give them no star I would, I send my black wool coat to be dry cleaned and it came back with discolour stains (orange and white) all over, I was full of lint and hair of different colours and to top it all off they riped one of the sleeves and they didn't even apologize or asked if they try fix it they got upset and said that they did clean. When it's obvious they didn't clean it. It looks more like they wore it and added bleach. Save your money and use another any other dry cleaner.

The second time I picked up the dress from alterations it had an oil stain right on the front of the dress. Had a very bad experience with them, they ruined mine dress and never did any reimbursement. When I called them they are like there is nothing we can do. They used some harsh chemicals that has taken colour off from my dress and fabric became so rough. I will suggest don't visit them. Actually, 1/2 a star...

A few weeks ago, we brought in a couple of throw rugs for dry cleaning to Perth’s.  When we picked them up a few weeks later, we were presented with a $200 bill!  When we questioned this, we were told that they were sheepskin, so had to be specially cleaned. This is utter nonsense. These are cheap $30 throw rugs purchased a few years ago from Bianca Amore.  Not really sure who determined that these faux-fur throws were real sheepskin since there was no tag, but they should have called us to ask and/or to give us a quote.  Also, these rugs are about 7 feet long and less than 2 feet wide; have you ever seen a 7-foot-long, 18-inch-wide sheep?  In mottled beige and grey no less. That alone should be a clue that these are fake. Not to mention the length and texture of the "fur" is nothing like a sheep. Or any other animal for that matter.

We had them re-cleaned since they stank of harsh chemicals when they were returned to us.  When the store called that they were ready, we asked about the price again and were informed that we were charged correctly. This is a complete joke - we should not be paying $200 to clean these faux-fur rugs.  After complaining to the manager, she called HQ, and we were then offered a $50 discount on our next cleaning bill. This is not acceptable; we should have been refunded at least half of what we paid for this cleaning. Particularly since they didn't even bother to check with us as to whether these were real or fake. They just assumed they were real and treated them as such.

This is not the first time we’ve had an issue with this company, so this will be the last time we ever use them.

I did receive a call from their head office. They explained that it is the process for all rugs, not the rug itself that determines the price, however, a quote should’ve been offered to us! They very kindly refunded us for half the cost.

Still won’t go back there for this type of cleaning though.

I called ahead to make sure it was possible to get stains removed from white table cloths, and they assured they could clean them for me. I drove a total of 6 hours to have them cleaned for a wedding, and paid $2,000 only for them to come back still completely stained. When I called to let them know that the stains were still there, they offered to give me a small discount on my NEXT purchase. However, I will NEVER be returning. I spent the next week toiling away cleaning all of the table cloths myself anyway, so I completely wasted $2,000, 6 hours of driving, and labour carrying them up and down their flights of stairs with no assistance whatsoever from staff. The employees were not helpful, friendly, or knowledgeable in person or on the phone. My experience there was beyond disappointing. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

BEWARE OF PESTS

Completely RIDDLED with bed bugs and cockroaches. I’ve seen roaches bigger than my hand crawling on the walls of this building. They always have pest control crews going in there to take care of the cockroach and bed bug infestations.

And when you get bed bugs from using their service, they won’t cover any pest control costs, and go as far as to deny that the bugs came from them, and shame their customers. I’ve heard a lot of yelling about this specific issue from their clients from my neighbouring property. As I said I live in the area and am constantly dealing with the filth from this place. The garbage they leave everywhere and the unsanitary conditions create in this community. The Wellington location is completely disrespectful to their neighbours, not only trash but parking on private property and causing property damage to yards and fences with their company and employee vehicles.

One employee parked in my back yard because he thought it was a parking space/loading zone for this company. I asked him to move his vehicle and he became aggressive and rude. He said his workplace said he could use this spot and that they pay for it, but I don’t get money for them parking there…. So who are they paying?

I want to start by saying this man is quite polite, flexible in scheduling, and the service provided is in theory quite convenient. That being said, if you have detergent/perfume allergies do NOT go here.
My fiancé and I have been up to our ears in life stresses, and just needed *something* off our plates. We both hate laundry. Figured this would help. Thing is, we both have really intense detergent/perfume allergies. We found a soap that works for us a while ago, it causes little to no issues, etc. Village Laundry said he'd use our provided soap, easy peasy.
When he dropped off the cleaned load at first we were a little suspicious. The clothes smelled very intensely of grocery-store brand perfumed detergent, and all the clothing had a thin residue on it similar to the residue most fabric softeners leave. But he promised he only used our soap. That night when we changed into our pajamas though my partner and I both broke out into horrendously painful hives. I tried to explain to him the situation, but he insisted he only used our soap, and that he wasn't willing to provide any form of refund or re-washing of our laundry because "he didn't make a mistake". I'd say our clothes smelling like Tide, covered in residue, and now being fully allergy inducing would qualify as a mistake. But who knows. Maybe his machines just have a ridiculous amount of leftover residue from other clients??? Either way we paid this man $135 for 60% of our wardrobe to be completely unwearable and in need of rewashing, and bunch of new stresses we really didn't need added to the pile.
If you don't have allergies, go to this guy. Really. The service is fast, flexible, and this guy will have your clothes folded neater than they looked at the store. But if you have allergies, don't risk it. It's not worth the pain, or subsequent antihistamine costs.

We used Village Laundry's wash and fold service, and the experience we had was smooth and painless. Our laundry was picked up, cleaned, and returned within 24 hours. Jogesh was extremely pleasant to deal with, and his response time was quick. Great value overall.

I like this place. I connected with the female employee. She was helpful, honest and polite. Their machines are always clean, many machines to choose from. Even the biggest blankets fit. Their dryers are awesome. You don't need to put alot of money in. The water pressure is great and you don't have to worry about rewashing. Also, the cool part is that it's located next door to 711 and just a short walk to No Frills. You know.... for snacks and such.

When I phoned to get a dry cleaner to clean a suit, the number I called was a Pembina Ave location. The Google said it was Nairn Ave location. Not updated! I was told if drop of a men’s suit Monday or Tuesday, suit would be ready for Thursday after 2pm. Wrong again. Dropped off at kildonan Ave location and it is only drop off and pick up. There, instead of 2-3 days to get the suit back, it takes 2 weeks. On dry cleaner ticket where it says date wanted, it says June. This is July, needed for June 29. When asked when it was going to be ready, ignored and went on to next person.
Used to like dollar wise, but kildonan Ave location will not be used by me or my family again.

Took my jacket down there on the 23rd of January paid for the service and I was told it would take 5 to 7 days to clean. I received a call on jan 29th indicating that they couldn't do anything with my jacket. A refund is provided but why take a jacket for a week just to tell the customer they can't do my jacket due to it being a specific brand name...... Bad business..... Don't bring your clothes here.

Cleaned shirts there for a while got one back ripped,and not worn out. was like it snagged on something. Shirt was only 6 months old. When I brought the shirt back I was accused of ripping it. Was treated like a criminal by the General Manager (Shane) no less. Given ample opportunity to rectify the situation as it's been 3 weeks. They will not return my calls, or e-mails. I would advise you to find another cleaner.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years. Dollarwise Cleaners are hit or miss, hot or cold. The first time I used their service was to dryclean a winter coat with a sheepskin fur collar. They cleaned the coat but destroyed the collar. Read the fine print on the invoice, not responsible for damage to articles. Staff were pleasant and courteous but don't expect to get your money back. So what if they are "green." Who cares if they wreck your clothes or charge $60 to clean a winter coat that cost $40? I use Perth's now.

Long story short i had a sweater that i loved dearly , i wore it only a few times since it was new and in a public bathroom it came in contact with bleach covering a large area of the front of my sweater… my mom brought it in hoping it wasn’t bleach and that it could be removed but unfortunately not, she asked if the sweater could be cut and cropped slightly to get rid of the stain, i don’t have a name unfortunately but a wonderful lady working there assured my mom it would be fixed and looking brand new better than ever. She picked it up today and i took it out of the bag and was speechless, it looked like nothing had EVER happened to it. I truly can’t thank this lady more than enough. Now i can wear it again !!

Clean, spacious ... we went mid morning during the week and it wasn't busy. We went on the weekend and it was a zoo. Both times, staff was friendly and helpful.

Today was our first time at Laundry World and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The attendant, Jeanie, could see that we were newbies so she took the time to give us a rundown on how everything worked and the best way to wash our large duvets. She was very friendly and gave us helpful tips and advice. When the big machine didn’t start, she came right over to fix it. It didn’t need much, just a bit of a nudge. ☺️ The other customers were friendly, the area was spacious and bright and there was free wifi! Overall, a really good experience and we will wash all of our blankets here!

Change your hours publicly so I don’t waste my time coming down and your closed, plus a lot of your machines need service and the duct system (lint) is most likely clogged considering how hot it gets. You’ve lost a 10+ year customer… sick of the inconsistency and inconvenience

Nice place if you are in trouble, when your washing machine is not working. The employee was really nice and helpful. The machines are maintenaned regularly and the place is clean. But very expensive: Two load will cost you about $10.00

The only one of the staff that isn’t rude is the younger woman on the weekend.
Whenever one of the dryers doesn’t take a quarter and they need to fix it they tell me I caused the problem or I did it wrong, pushed the wrong button, instead of just fixing it. Always get snapped at for asking for change for the machines.
And there is rarely hand soap in the bathroom.

The owner is very kind, just come in and ask about how to get an account with them and he will walk you through it. He is always so kind and helpful to me when I go there, I ask him for advice on how to wash certain materials and he has helped me tremendously. Very nice and quiet, clean, makes you feel like you are at home doing your laundry. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, most if not all machines have worked each time I had visited. A few larger machines available so you won’t have to fight for their use. The laundromat is requires your id to enter but also isn’t never too busy if you have social anxiety.
