Rang for a quote and 3 coats $120. I asked for the pick up and drop off offer in writing on their website. $80 and over offer to pick up and drop off. I was told there’s two sites in Southport but they don’t do that anymore. When I stated it’s in writing on their website website she hung up on me. Appalling phone communication and overpriced!

I’ve used Upton Dry Cleaners a few times and while they do a solid job with cleaning and pressing, I can’t help but feel their pricing structure is overly inflated. They charge based on the brand of your clothing rather than the actual material or complexity of the item—which means you’ll end up paying significantly more for a designer label, even if it’s the exact same fabric and cut as something unbranded.

It’s definitely one of the more expensive dry cleaners around, and while the quality is fine, I don’t believe the pricing is justified. If you’re particular about your garments and don’t mind paying a premium, this might suit you—but for most people, there are more reasonably priced options that do just as good a job.

***Update*** 28.03.24 Was contacted by the business and offered an apology for the poor service and the time it took to respond to my review, a refund of the fee charged, along with a $30 store credit should I want to try them again, with assurance that the team have been managed to bring service up to standard.

Highly NOT recommend this dry cleaning shop!!!

I sent two Moncler down coats to this shop in early February, and just pick them up on 29/02/2024.
They have damaged both of them.
For the black one, the zipper head is missing. (The professional way is wrapping the zipper head before washing, but they didn’t do that.)They only provided to search for the zipper for me, and didn’t take any more responsibility.
For the pink one, they have made some dirty mark on my coat, and they didn’t admit they have done it! They said maybe I made the mark myself! For the common sense, if the staff see the mark when she received the coat, she should inform me that there is a chance that the dirty mark may not be removable, and I am 100% sure that this mark is made by them because I already enquired from the professional repair shop and the dirty mark is the machine oil, and they also informed me that there is a tint on the coat, they have to damage the tint to get the mark removed and repair the tint. My appeal is that they paid the repair fee, and to my disappointment they rejected it and only offer to wash the coat again for me. Tell the truth, my coast was damaged in their shop, how can I bring the coat back to them again!
Also, they said they are not responsible for the tint repaired if it happened.
Thanks for reading these, please consider some other shops for your dry cleaning, they are not professional and friendly for the washing procedure and customer service!!!

Despite being greeted by staff who were quick to tell me how quiet it is and they'd like to be busier, it took 1 week to have a suit dry cleaned. My Name is Robyn, I had my Doona Cover ironed at this Dry Cleaners and they have stained it, it looks like an iron stain.  So I took it back this morning hoping they could fix it or replace it.  However, I spoke to the Manager (sho was very rude), she  blamed me and suggested I spilt coffee or alcohol on  it, I responded by saying "I don't drink Coffee In bed.

I suggested it could have happened with the press, she was very hard to understand, so she had to get an interpreter, however she over spoke both me and the interpreter, and guess what, she just walked off.  How professional!!

Had I read these reviews, I would never had gone there, there are heaps of "BAD REVIEWS" on the website.

The Manager was rude, when she came to the counter, she was yelling and speaking over me, she has just ruined my Sheridan King Size Doona Cover, which cost me $600.00 and offered nothing to assist me.

What are you supposed to do,

First time customer at Gold Coast location. Advised the 2 ladies when dropping off. 5 Mens shirts, 1 slacks, 1 mini dress and some wash and fold (by weight) clerk advised would be "about $100.00 as wash and fold is by scale" Perfect so far. Website provides wash and fold next day, clerk advised would need a week and website needs updating. Fine so far. Picked up today and presented with invoice $177.77 ™cents. I advised what quote was given, and said I didnt care of if it was $20 off, but $77 off at least deserved a call first. (Wash and fold was only $41.00) despite raising my objection, was told repeatedly, like a tape recoridng " the owner makes all decisions regarding pricing, and is rarely here, pay or you do not get the clothes" despite attempting to reason, the chubby lady barked commands like a parrot, and the gentleman with thestrong eastern european accent just kept saying " you cannot negotiate after the job is done" which is not what I was trying to do. Yes, the $177 is far more expensive than it should be, but this is more about professional and courteous standards and a customer focused business model. Business like this should not be rewarded with more business. And yes, quote, although approx was in writing, didnt matter to them. Terrible experience, would not consider using them again, regardless. Lastly I asked the gentleman to call his manager/owner , after the chubby lady said the owner/manager was rarely there, which he did, walked away, chatted on phone, came back and said " nothing we can do, I I just work here and strictly follow orders" the wash and fold was done so poorly, and 2 of thr mens shirts, buttoned up on hangers backwards. The chubby lady in the photo is the rude one with huge additude. Great owners/managers attract great people, seems the opposite side of is true here. Grace your money to a professional, competent business who actually strives to be good. Lastly and easily the most important is the terrible cleaning job. The laundered clothes, which are all generally very high quality garments, whites were grey, and rest looked like a child laundered and folded. NOTHING was wearable as recieved. The cleaned shirts, besides being hung backwards, were clean and pressed. My wifes dress/skirt, same small stain, could not tell it was cleaned at all. Worst cleaning experience.  Cheers

He removed to stain immediately to eliminate all the stress we were feeling and we could not be more grateful. We were super impressed to be given our own ‘ dry cleaning’ bag with our own unique barcode on it as we took in other items to be cleaned and we simply take it home and put our dry cleaning in it and return to be cleaned. Will definitely be using them in future and sharing this fabulous service with family and friend. Was super impressed by the cleanliness of  the store compared to other dodgy cleaners on the GC. So easy to park too.

I normally give 4-5 stars as I like to help businesses out but my experience here was not the best.. I handed my shorts in to have a stained removed and upon review after I paid the creasing was awful, non of the stains were removed and it looked like they just threw it in the washing machine. I used a stain remover when I got home and immediately got rid of the stain. Very little effort was put into my clothes. I’d recommend somewhere else if you can! Nice staff just not good dry cleaning.

Brought a new pair of jeans in for tailoring at the waist, really disappointed with the outcome and quality, as is evident in the pictures.

I was measured up on Saturday, charged $67.50 and went in to pick them up on Monday when they were ready. The jeans still gaped about 3cm off the waist and I asked if the measurements/pinning were accurate as they didnt fit as they should. The woman, although kind and very accomodating with my request for work to be completed by tomorrow (as I was leaving the GC), explained that Id need to pay an additional $25 for the adjustment. I negotiated to pay the “difference” of a 3-point tailor (vs the 1-point that was carried out already) and was quoted $80 for the 3-point tailor. This meant I should have paid a difference of $12.50 but the POS register allegedly “didnt have a product of that amount” so I was required to pay $16.50 instead.

This brings the total cost of the tailor to $84 and unfortunately I wasnt able to stick around to air my grievances when I picked them up today. But as pictured, the quality of the work is so poor and messy. The thread is birdnested, indicating the machine was jamming and tangling, but rather than unpicking and redoing the seam, was just left. The lines are wobbly and not straight, with the lose threads not even cut off.

I personally would never return to this tailor.

Went to this boutique as I was browsing their website and seeing the promo about having pants hemmed with 25mins for 25 dollars. I did not expect to get it done in such a quick time as long as it could be done on the same day. I was told they are owned by a private owner just using the brand label which would not follow the online promo and I got quoted for 45 dollars for hemming the pants with extra 10 dollar express fee if I wanted to get it done on the same day. The receptionist even gave me rolled eyes when I was inquiring about the online promo.
It is not my problem to ask for what the website offers. You should have the basic customer service manner to explain to your customers.
Won’t be backing anymore and seriously do not recommend this place if you do not want to get treated like this way.

Very clean laundry. The machines are well kept and clean. They also provide wipes to clean the surfaces and other services. One of the best laundries I’ve been in the world.

I recently visited Tumble on Tedder and was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service and amenities offered.

The prices were very reasonable, making it accessible for everyone.

The facility itself was beautiful and impeccably clean. It's evident that the management takes great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for their customers.

Another convenience worth mentioning is their acceptance of card payments. Gone are the days of scrambling for coins or worrying about having cash on hand. The ability to pay with a card adds an extra layer of convenience, the Washing machines are also equipped with automatic detergent dispenser! No need to stress about buying laundry detergent.

Additionally, the proximity to a lovely coffee shop nearby was the cherry on top. It provided a delightful opportunity to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for my laundry to be done.

Very clean Laundromat good variety of washing machine and dryer sizes. Extended trading hours, feels very safe many restaurants near by. Machines self dispense laundry liquid so you don’t need detergent. There is a handy service that allows you to leave laundry in a locker and they return it washed for a fee, this is very handy for travellers who need to go out and about. Handy phone charging station as well so you won’t have to worry about bringing along a charger. Thank you for providing this great facility.

This is an incredible facility. I had two large loads of laundry and was able to get it all done with no issues! The washers are very easy to use and the dryers just as so. Debbie was a great help and her hospitality was top notch. I highly recommend Nice n Clean Laundromat for all of your laundry needs.

What a joy to find places like this! The laundromat is spotless, the machines work perfectly, and it’s super convenient — but what truly makes it special are the people. Great place. Great helpful owner. She was helpful and explained things to help me understand. The washing has detergent included and you can do a super wash with taking the wash from 36 to 47 minutes at no extra charge.

I have been using their drying service for a while, very nice. The lady there even offered me a free spin after knowing some of my pieces were still wet. Recommend for rainy days

These guys are absolute legends. I left it to the very last minute to get our outfits dry cleaned for our legal wedding on Sunday. Dropped them off on Saturday, and they still managed to have everything ready on time. There was even a stain on my dress I hadn’t noticed—they took care of it like it was nothing. Hands down the best dry cleaner I've ever been to. Was impressed as soon as I walked in the door. Very modern premises with all work done onsite. Excellent service, brilliant app to keep track of your jobs progress and on time! What a refreshing change!

Very bad experience with them. I sent a brand new Aje top which I only wear 5 hours but got coffee stain on that. They could not did the clean properly and even made the coffee stain worse. After re-clean, the fabric got damaged and they put a note suggesting no further attempts to clean the stain. The manager is rude, keep mentioning the scratches is because my wear or the coffee itself. Didn’t admit they did anything wrong to make it worse last time. And saying he can refund and ask me to try somewhere else then. After I said I will put this experience on Google review, he changed his face and said he won’t refund or talk to me, and keep saying I was threatening him and ask me to leave. This is a horrible place and please note the attitude you have, will be the reason your business close in one day. Stay away from this rude and unprofessional business.
But anyway, the reception girl is nice and friendly.

The Washing Machine has ruined my bed cover. Trying to get someone to contact you is impossible. There are bleach stains all over my pillow cases and bed cover. I have 2 European pillowcases I didnt wash with the other items and they are clearly now different colours. Spent $36 to wash, dry and ruin my bedding.

There was someone there washing a commercial quantity of white items, I'm suspicious they may have put bleach in the machine I used immediately after her.

Edit: updated from 1 star. Contacted by the owner, who provided a great resolution. Exceptional customer service turning a negative experience into a positive outcome.

I have used these machines before without issue, I would just be wary in future of what others may have used in the machine prior to washing my own items.
