I recently visited Duffy Dry Cleaners & Laundry in Stillwater to have a dress dry cleaned. While the service was thorough and the staff were friendly, I found it to be quite expensive. The dress was cleaned well, but the high cost was a bit of a surprise. If cost is a major consideration, it might be worth comparing prices with other local dry cleaners before making a decision.

Apparently they don’t do comforters anymore even when the material is dry clean safe. Edit: Upon picking up my comforter that wasn’t able to be cleaned, I was rudely berated by the owner for leaving the one star review. I tried to de-escalate the situation, talk through the issues I had and discuss possible solutions. Unfortunately, I was only met with continued hostility. I can understand that hard times in life can cause someone to lash out, and it was clear the owner was not having a good day. However, calling me selfish over a “dumb comforter” was really sad. I truly hope any personal situations improve for this business so they can create a more professional environment to handle similar problems that arise. Perhaps posting some sort of signage stating that for them to clean comforters, a waiver will need to be signed (outside of just commenting on my google review) will prevent this situation from happening again. This could notify customers, as well as remind employees to receive a signed waiver prior to accepting comforters (which isn’t what happened to me) Understandably, I will not be returning my business here, which seems to be in both of our best interests.
