The gentlemen owner is lovely. Always so polite and makes sure my clothes are neatly folded and arranged into separate bags to put them away quick and easy once home. Would definitely recommend iv been using this shop for about a year now and never had a problem. Super fast aswell :)

It is understandable that due to the rise of cost of living you see prices become a bit more higher and it should be understandable that business owners will need to adjust their prices for them to stay in business. I used monarch cleaners for more than six months and I was satisfied by the owner who runs this place. But during April 2023, the owner informed me that he’ll need to raise the prices. This is completely understandable, since then every time I used his services he kept on increasing the prices, this affected my budget. And I felt he was manipulating and taking advantage of me, every time he talked with me he had a smirk on his face. As a person who drives to this destination, you cannot park in the bus stop to carry your washing. So I parked on yellow lines for 1 or 2 minutes on Lister Street. In the past when I engaged with traffic enforcement officers, I explained to them “I’m just going to drop/pick up my laundry” and they were ok with me and they themselves saw me return immediately to my vehicle to leave the area. (these traffic enforcement officers are born and bred in this country) The final nail in the coffin for me to stay away from this place is where I had a unpleasant encounter with the latest traffic enforcement officer (originated from somewhere in Eastern Europe). He started to argue with me as I was heading to the laundry to pick up my laundry, I’ve explained to him of what I was going to do. I had to ignore him because he was ignorant and he proceeded to wait by my vehicle. When I did return to my vehicle with my laundry he became all docile and backed away. (took a photo and short video of him) For vehicle owners who reads this review, just be mindful and be aware that you may get harassed by eastern European traffic officer who have no intention to have a civil conversation with you. And keep in mind if you still decide to use this laundry you may have to park your vehicle very far away and carry your load of washing to this now expensive laundry service.

The gentleman working there was super helpful, sorted out change for me and interacted well with everybody that came in. It was £8.50 for the largest washer and then £1 for each 7 minutes in the dryer as of 22/04/24

I moved to this area last month, had no washing machine in new house therefore needed to visit my local laundrette and have made 4 visits since every time I left with total contentment, the guy (who I think is new) always on hand to help you out and happy to move your laundry from wash to dryer. Premises look sparkling clean, definitely refute previous reviews. My washing machine arriving next week but I will defo keep coming for tumble drying and heavy washes.

Always helpful, cheery and will make you feel welcome. We visit once a week usually for our laundry, and it’s no longer a chore but something we quite look forward too… weirdly.
