I called ahead and they had me come in to try my dress on for them to see what needed adjusting. This needs to be done when they aren’t too busy so it’s good to communicate with them and set up a good time that works for both parties. Took my dress in on May 9th- they said it would be ready to pick up by June 9th. Turnout varies depending on what time of year it is- if it’s wedding or prom season, etc. I had them hem and do some alterations to my bust, straps, & waist area on a plain wedding dress. They quoted me $250-280 for this. To me this was expensive- but I’m from a small town and things tend to be more pricey in the cities. They also said this was because I had a lot of areas needing altered.
When I went in to try it on I wore it very briefly and didn’t pay much attention to how it fit me. Just anxious to get it home. Took it home and tried it on again several more times in the following 6 weeks and thing just weren’t sitting how I wanted them to in the chest area. It was doing a gaping thing that it hadn’t done before after all of the adjustments. I was panicking and not really sure what to do. I went in again very short notice- the week that I needed it done by- on the off chance that they could suggest something that might fix it. They really helped me out- took it back and said they could have it done the day before I needed it but not to wait so long next time. I live about a half hour away and had just gotten home when they called and asked me to come back in so I could try it on again. They had let everything they did previously in the chest area out and needed to get their new adjustments. This was no problem for me as they were literally saving my behind. When I picked it up the final time it fit much better and they didn’t charge me anything for fixing it. Appreciate them taking care of their customers in this way and getting me in on such short notice. Would highly recommend this place, just make sure you get your item there in plenty of time so you’re not cutting it so close like I did my second time around.

No clue how they are the highest rated dry cleaners in Huntsville. Been there 4 times since moving here and it get worse each time:
*creases removed from pants
*no creases in collars of shirts
*sleeves of long shirts not pinned
*collars look worse coming out then after initial wears from previous dry cleaners.

This place is too busy. But I was greeted at the door. She automatically told me we’re two weeks behind. It will be a month before I get my clothes back.

I don’t normally give a lot of reviews. However, this was so unsettling that I feel it is definitely important to pass along! I brought my daughter’s wedding dress to be cleaned there. It was needed for a remake of their bridal photos. After the photos were taken, I took it back to be repackaged for safe keeping a few weeks later. The owner’s wife took the dress from me and said for me to come back and pick it up in two weeks. When I tried picking it up today, they told me that they had NO RECORD of me dropping it back off in their system!! They only had the original pick up date of Sept. 15th only!! Yet, I dropped it back off in the first week of October to have it repackaged for safe keeping in a bridal box.They would not call the owner’s wife to inquire about the dress location. They asked me if my name was a different name because they only had one dress and that was someone else’s! I insisted on seeing that dress that was supposed to be  someone else’s since they refused to call the owner’s wife! The owner (male) and a female employee said they did not remember me dropping off a dress. I recalled verbatim our conversation about the dress and how it didn’t need to be cleaned the second time and even had a picture in my phone of the dress on the date it was originally picked up in their system from being steamed. They denied knowing or seeing me drop it back off. I showed the pictures of the dress and my daughter in the wedding dress, as well as the before and after photos of it once it was cleaned. Note the date on the post cleaning picture of the dress. THEY HAD LABELED MY DAUGHTER’S WEDDING DRESS WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S NAME and would not give it back! I am giving 1 star for very poor record keeping and refusing to give me back my daughter’s wedding dress! I will not use their services again! I definitely would not recommend them. Including before and after pictures from when the dress was cleaned. I did get my daughter’s dress back, but with MUCH resistance from the owner and the female employee. I will not be using their services in the future.

Took in a due fall too to get 4 pieces of elastic replaced. When I dropped it off I was told about 20$. When I picked it up it was 55$. Totally overcharged

I am so satisfied with the job they did with my costumes, I would give them 10 stars if I could. The people here are so friendly and know how to do their job. From today you will be the one I trust with my fabrics

I really want to say that the customer service at classic cleaners is above and beyond anything I have ever experienced.  We have use this cleaners since moving to Huntsville in 2012 and have always been satisfied with the quality of service.  This is the first time anything has ever happened to an item of clothing I have dropped off….the owner was very humble and gracious and I had my receipt so he wrote a check immediately for my damaged item…in more than 12 years we have used this cleaner every 2 weeks and have never ever had a problem but when there was a problem the customer service was off the charts superb!  And this was a simple accident and could not be helped.  I would like to think that people would also post how fabulous they think a business is rather than always focusing on the negative…we refer anyone asking to classic cleaners and love the staff and owners for taking such good care of our clothing over the last decade!

Classic cleaners is by far the worst cleaners that I’ve worked with. I have lived all around the country, and worked with many dry cleaners and they have made a lot of mistakes and damaged many expensive shirts. I finally parted ways with this operation after finding that they were charging me for buttons that their machines knocked off of my shirts, and they insisted that they should be able to charge for the damages that they created on multiple shirts. I would advise that a customer go to Great lengths to avoid giving their business to this operation and consider other cleaners in the area.

I would not recommend this cleaners to anyone preparing for an event. I took 9 table cloths to them to be pressed and cleaned. My husband picked them up, brought them to the venue and when we removed them from the hanger we realized they weren’t pressed at all. Please see photo (Nine table cloths looked exactly the same) I called to speak to someone about the issue and they suggested speaking to the owner. Called the cleaners for the owner several times with no success. On the last attempt the manager explained that the cloths were “pressed” and there’s nothing else to be done about them. She refused to accept any pictures and refused to provide contact for the owner. As a paying customer, this is unacceptable. To prepare for a first birthday party, ironing table cloths wasn’t apart of the plan. I paid my money for quality service and didn’t get what expected. Please find someone else to provide better service and who is overall dependable.

Unfortunately, this place can't seem to keep up with the clothes you drop off.  I like the people and the service is fair, but twice I have dropped off clothes and not gotten the same number back as the receipt I was given.  Most recently, when my receipt said 16 and I only got 15 items back, the manager told me that she and I had miscounted together and that she changed it after I left.  I was never called, they changed it in their system, and then she expected me to just take her word for it and that she "remembered" a transaction from 3 weeks prior (when she cant remember my name).  Unfortunately, bottom line was that I had a receipt for 16 and only got 15 items back, and they made no effort at reaching agreement - I just had to accept what she said as fact.  I would have been willing to accept nearly any concession - even an apology or heck a coupon, but neither was tendered.  Clothes are expensive, and I felt like I deserved better as I have been doing almost $200/month in business with them since they opened.  Job 1 should be accounting for items, but not here.

They don't have a concept of proper dry cleaning and pressing. The front desk staffer's repeated affirmation is that she doesn't know anything about the cleaning or pressing, they are just a pick up and drop off location.  Avoid this place.  Work is not good. No quality control at all.

I have been using University Cleaners on 143-C Huntsville, AL since they opened.  I generally bring in about 35 articles at a time for service and the staff is always friendly and helpful.  I had four of my shirts lost all Polo with an average cost of $100.  After two months of me stopping by to check the status they offered me $40 for in-store credit not to be used at the same time.  They LOST my property an insult me with this ridiculous gesture.

This was my 1st time there. I dropped off 1 shirt on Wednesday and went to pick it up Thursday the next day. The same lady was there that I dropped it off to and she brought out a white shirt. I said that's not my shirt. She said she was the one that tagged it. I said that's not my shirt. She said all the other shirts dropped off after mine were men's shirts. I said my shirt was gold someone needs to find it. She then looked at the inside of the white shirt then on the computer. I said my shirt is gold like mustard it should be easy to find. She then went to the back and returned with my shirt. As I was leaving with my shirt I asked if she needed the tag with someone else's name and said the white shirt is probably there's and she said oh yes. She never apologized. I'm so glad I had only dropped off 1 item.

pretty expensive considering it’s $10 for a large load. there’s unmarked dryers that will take your money and they don’t reimburse or put up a sign indicating they aren’t working properly. finessed me out of $5😅

Windows have huge lettering AIR CONDITIONED= that’s a lie. The attached mini Mart store has people who do not speak English or play dumb to keep from handling your requests. You must catch an attendant who is in/out nonstop to turn on the ceiling fans bc the control is in a locked room. The 6-8 load washers leak during cycle. No matter the amount of detergent used the suds were minimal. I am on the search for a new place!

Any place that has a sign saying anyone can remove your clothes if they want the machine and you are not present, I would stay away from them. The credit card thing on the machines no longer works. Lots of negative signs.

I walked in to see how much it cost to wash my comforters and the smell almost knocked me out. The security cameras were not even working on their display. The wood behind the machines were warping everywhere and the drain system seemed to be half full of water. That was probably the smell. So many machines seemed to be out of order as well. Are there any decent laundromats in Huntsville?

Be VERY careful using the dryers here! I put in a load of laundry and after about 15 minutes, I thought something smelled weird (like a burning smell) and I opened it to check and half my laundry was melted. I have had some damage to things from commercial dryers. I am aware certain materials shouldn't be laundered in them, but this was the result of laundering things according to the directions on the tags.

Was going to make this my main laundromat since it’s so close to home. Using the mobile app is a drag, and when you scan the machine to start it, it says it’s not ready. None of the machines are according to the app. I wasted 10 dollars putting on my card hoping it would help. 10 dollars I could’ve used at a better actually functional laundromat. There’s no one staff wise to help you out on using the machines. I also read in previous reviews sometimes the coin machine doesn’t even give you enough. A young man just walked out since he couldn’t figure it out and they hadn’t stocked any laundry soaps. The only good thing I can say about this place is that it looks clean, aside from the receipts and random pens on the floor.

Beautiful place! It’s honestly the most stunning laundromat I’ve ever seen. But don’t let the aesthetic fool you—actually washing your clothes here is an Olympic-level challenge. The big machines? Apparently just for show. The app says they’re “not ready,” which feels like a digital shrug. Trying quarters is a real adventure: they’re either spit back out immediately, disappear into the machine's 'coin void,' or count about as accurately as a magician on his day off.

And here’s the kicker: there's a timer. So after it times out, whatever money you’ve put in is just...gone. Back to square one with a fresh balance of $9.75 to try, try again. Not a soul in sight to help, and there’s not even a contact number to call. Honestly, if this place were on fire, the fire department would probably show up before the owner!

For real, I never leave reviews, but this place deserves one. Yes, it's beautiful, but using the machines feels like playing Russian roulette—except with fewer winners. Gorgeous laundromat, but good luck getting your clothes washed!
