When I arrived the owner immediately greeted me and said “let me know if you have any questions”- first time that has ever happened to me at a laundromat! The washing machines are expensive ($9, though they vary) but huge- I thought I’d have to do 2-3 loads but fit everything into one. The dryer was just $2.50 for 40 mins, so all things considered the price is still comparable to other laundromats.

A lot of the machines take a regular credit card, some take just quarters, and some take both. There are ample seats inside and outside, and even wifi. And great music.

Overall it was a very seamless and painless process. Thanks Alex for making it so easy!

The owners of this shop are super helpful, honest and kind. When I came in with some dry cleaning, and they suggested a less expensive option for cleaning the items, and they came out great. I also brought in some badly stained clothes and they somehow made them look like new. Definitely recommend!

Great service! I took my suit there to be dry cleaned and was happy with the result. No issues at all. They have a service that will text you when your dry cleaning is done and you can pay for rush processing if you need it in a pinch. Mine was completed in 2 days.

I dropped off 2 large loads of laundry totaling about 100 pounds. The price per pound to wash dry & fold was so reasonable $1.25 pound. I don't know any other laundry that even comes close to that price.  This laundry was for 2 different airbnbs. They did a great job of keeping the laundry separate. They asked me when I wanted it done and it was ready as promised. I couldn't pick it up sure to scheduling issues. My cleaners picked it up with ease.  They are very organized,  efficient and nice hardworking people. They are very good at what they do. I will definitely be going back.

I understand accidents happen - but third is the THIRD that my clothes have come back STAINED after using Soap Bubble's Wash Dry and Fold service. (Not dirty, stained and set!! Stains that weren't there before!) Buyer beware!

Storytime: Recently, the owners of Soap Bubble purchased the only laundromat on my street, and immediately ran it down. Most machines are completely broken, many eat cash, and none of the quarter dispensers work anymore. I started going to Soap Bubble out of desperation, and now have to walk a half a mile with my bags of laundry when my commute used to be just around the corner.

I only do WDF as a special treat for a long month, when I'm too tired to make the trek. It's heartbreaking when there's irreversible damage to clothes that I love when I'm trying to do something nice for myself, especially when I know the owners of this business created the problem to begin with.

You've left me with no options and permanently damaged clothes, soap bubble. Do better!!

I really loved this laundromat and had been going since I moved to Portland about 6 months ago. I’ve never had an incident until now. I was trying to get change for the machines and was heckled by a worker and continually misgendered after correcting her. I pointed to where my laundry was and kept trying to get change. She continually proceeded to misgender me and I gave up trying to get quarters, took my clothes out of the dryer and left. I will state I could’ve explained myself more but I had just left my job for misgendering me. I am very tired this week and just wanted to do laundry.

I have been coming here for almost two years and the short woman who works here is extremely rude. She will see you struggling with the quarter machine and refuse to turn it on and watch you struggle with it. Today I went to get quarters to put in the dryer, and we repeated the process above. After we went back and forth she asked me where my laundry was. I told her it was in the washing machine. She asked me again where it was. I told her it is in the washing machine and I need quarters so I can put them in dryer. She then wordlessly turned on the machine and I got my quarters. They also raised the prices without prior notice for the wash dry fold, giving me a slip with a note on how they are having a new price AFTER we dropped it off days before. If they told me the price was changing when we dropped our clothing off, we would not have done so. The same woman also nearly hit my boyfriend with her car and promised to discount his laundry for not saying anything (didn’t happen btw)! There is no need to be this bitter and rude to people who have said nothing to you in a laundromat.

have gotten quite a few alterations done here. The pricing is good but the older woman seamstress has been unnecessarily rude to my elderly mother on more than one occasion.

Eskay the seamstress is always lovely and does a great job on all of our alterations! Turn around time is always much faster than expected and good pricing, highly recommend

I went in to see if they could repair a throw pillow that had a tear. The fabric was thick, and I'd gone to a couple other places but they couldn't do it. The alterations person at this location immediately said it wouldn't be a problem. It took less than a week, and only cost $10. Highly recommend.

We have dropped off numerous clothing items for alterations at PA in Portland on  Forest ave.,  I must say, we are always pleased with their work and the price always seems more than fair for the work. The girls at the front have always been very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Do not take your wedding dress here! Such terrible work. I had to take my dress back because it was just shoved into a box after being cleaned- then when I picked it up a second time all they did was shove tissue paper in the box with the dress… so so so terrible. Don’t waste your time

What a great laundry service. I travel a ton so when you find a great one, gotta give them their flowers. 1) Everyone I encountered was happy to be there. 2) quick, and really good Fluff and Fold service/turnaround 3) They found a $100 in my laundry and returned it. That’s uncommon, for sure! Heck, my wife keeps any cash she finds in the laundry at home! Hahaha. Anyway, 10/10. Will definitely be back when in Portland.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. The guy that runs (owns?) the place was so very funny and friendly. We were just passing through, traveling, and wanted to do laundry to make sure we got through the last few days of our travels, and he was so hospitable, even as a guy running a laundromat. Him and his wife seemed to be working hard on other's laundry as well. We were sitting out front drinking coffee and he brought out a step stool for us to use as a table for our coffee. Not that we needed it, but just a really nice, simple gesture. I saw a review complaining about no coin machine, but I had no trouble handing him cash for quarters and getting those right away. We didn't have detergent, so instead of selling us the individual packs, he used his own detergent for our laundry. He made a simple experience (doing laundry) into a very nice one!

This is the best laundromat on the Hill!!! The family that owns and works there are fantastic and keep the place seriously clean and hygienic. Wash and fold, dry cleaning and special requests are available. The local police bring their uniforms, and that's a good indication of their business reputation. The dad runs the tailor shop next door and is a craftsman... he and his son do tailoring of all types and can create custom made suits..., the ready made clothes are incredible, just like buying a suit in Italy. We are lucky to have them, they truly care about the customers and it shows! 👍👕👚👗👖👔😁

First time I've done laundry in a LM for a very long time. The owners where very talkative  and made you feel like family,  very respectful,  quaint Italian setting,  conveniently located on the hill, great interaction with a couple of customers as well. I was excited as this laundromat opens at 8a on Saturday and Sunday. The first thing that happened as I asked for assistance was get berated by the employee for arriving at 8a as they are not ready that early for customers who need assistance. The business practices are suspect. Most of the machines require you purchase a money card. The card costs $5. The attendant helped me as the machine is incredibly broken. My bank card got charged twice. I went in later for a refund and could only get a store credit. The other thing to be aware of is that if you choose warm or hot water on their washing machines the cost of the load goes up. Is this even legal? Not ethical in my opinion.
So in sum, you have to use their laundry card with a dispensing machine that doesn’t work and the cost showing for the washing machines is not necessarily what you will pay. I am using up the remainder on my card and will not be coming back.
The one positive is the attendant (not the one on my Sunday visit who thankfully I have not encountered since), who is there on week days and Saturday is very kind and helpful.

Locking the door in the face of people who show up prior to last wash time is pretty abhorrent behavior for a business. If they are 5 minutes AFTER last wash time, sure. But 5 minutes before is still prior to. Maybe you need to consider making your last wash time earlier if this is really such an issue for you.

Edit to add: you must really not want business if you're also telling people to go to the other laundromat when you do this.

Showed up at 5:20 to do laundry. Door was locked, so I knocked and the employee flew to the door in a rage to flip me off and stalk away. No words were exchanged. Then they stalked around the interior of the building throwing their hands and turning off lights despite customers being in there who likely needed those lights to see what they were doing. There have been other instances here too of general poor manners from this one employee. Being rude to some and fawning over others, putting up signs not to speak with them. Just overall distasteful.

I have a hectic professional life with very little time for errands. Not only is the facility close by to my apt, the service and quality is outstanding. The machines are always clean and the common areas are spotless.  Im lucky enough to do laundry on a day where the individual running the laundrymat, named Falon, provides consistent and superior customer service.  She always has a welcoming smile and is super helpful with anything the patrons need.   I can see why Mondays are crazy busy! She runs a great shop! Five stars!!

I went there to wash and the city is mostly surrounded by foreigners, the way the manager talk to the customers and cursing them out is really sad and horrible! She is very rude as a visitor are traveler this is not a good look. I wish the owner would know how she sound, need better boundaries and need to be ran properly!

Best staffing of any laundromat in Portland. Good wash dry fold and pickup service. If you can, talk to an attendant about which machines to use, they will be super helpful and generous with you.

We were staying at the Westin and needed laundry done. Lighthouse picked it up at 2pm and dropped off before 8 am the next day and was super reasonably priced. The clothes are folded so beautifully I am afraid to even use them as we continue on our travels. I highly recommend their survive!

Found this place on Google because I was close by to where I was staying for the weekend. Wished I had drove a little bit further to a better laundromat now most of the machines were in good working order. The change machine was well stocked and they have a basic restroom. But that’s where the good review stops. The facility was dirty. There was trash all over the floor. Two of the trash cans were completely full, and you could tell that it hasn’t been cleaned since at least Friday afternoon. It’s now Sunday morning. Considering that the multi load washers range in price from $4.75 to eight dollars and $1.25 for a box of so you would think that the owner could hire somebody to come clean the place or do it themselves what a shame. Also they have two vending machines that are out of order and there is a dryer unit in the corner that you can tell caught on fire recently and it’s still sitting there.

If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. I hope it gets shut down soon.

When I first arrived the coin machine didn’t work so I had to leave the gas station to get changed. Making me late for work.  They also did not offer credit card/ card services so you have to use quarters or go somewhere else.

When I went back to gather my clothes from the dryer they were moved to one of the carts. Several dryers were empty.  One of my wool dryer balls was on the floor in a puddle of dirty water ruining it.

I meant to take a picture of the bathroom to show the horrible disarray that it’s in. It looks like someone has done drugs repeatedly in there. At minimal it needs a paint job and some updates.

I will happily go somewhere else next time, and I actually started a “do not go here” list and it is the first establishment on the list.

This used to be a nice, very clean place. I went there today and there was trash on the floor and it looked like they haven’t been washed in a while. The two trash cans were overflowing. On the positive side, the place was almost empty (which makes me wonder how long it had been since the trash was emptied).  A real disappointment because it used to be so nice and clean.

As others stated months before, the place is filthy. I read some reviews before heading over. Giving benefit of the doubt, I swung by and took one peek in the window. Comically, there was a broom leaning against the machine closest to the window, but looks like no one knows how to use it. I took a full scan and dirt and trash all over the floor as far as the eye could see. I'll move on to a different Laundromat.

This place is  such a poorly run business. They are never open on time. They are supposed to be open 7am..I am writing this as I wait. It is now 7:10. This is an everyday occurrence. In a strange way it helps with being annoyed when you know not to expect much at all. Even the most basics of practices like opening on time. It's not well maintained at all. Many of the machines are out of service. I only come here to dry my clothes. The only  and I mean ONLY positive is it's cheaper than most of the surrounding laundry mats in the area. I guess in this case, it's the sacrifice you make if you choose this laundry mat. It truly is awfully ran. I kind of wish it was just go out of business or sell to someone that knows how to properly run a business.

I promise you, it takes a lot for me to go out of my way to write a review. I would have much rather  taken time out of my day to give a great review. Unfortunate, that is absolutely not possible here.  I was just thinking as I sit here and wait for the door to be automatically opened,  that a light needs to be cast on this place for how poorly maintained it is. The owner should be ashamed. And he should be put on blast and made to be embarrassed at the very least.  And you can rest assured everything I have said in this commentary is dead on accurate. This is not an opinion, it is a state of fact. I have no doubt should you come for a visit to do some laundry, you will come away with a very similar view.

I was there a few weeks ago and I paid with the app.. a week later, I tried to pay with the app as well but it wasnt working so I called them and they told me the app has not worked for a year.. well, I just used it last week, number one.. number two, if you believe the app doesn't work, why are there still signs everywhere promoting the app?

DONT GO HERE.  This place steals your money on machines that don’t even work.  When I called the laundromat, the employee gave me a phony email of their supposed “manager”.  Please don’t waste your time at this place and use other laundromats in the Portland area.  A scam of a business.

DO NOT GO HERE- half of the dryers have out of service stickers and the rest simply won't take a quarter! Soap Bubble must have bought this place for nearly as little as i could get into a machine ( about 75 cents between two dryers)

❌Rip off! $4.75 a washing load and dryer is $0.25/3 minutes. What in the world.

UPDATE: put $20 in the coin return machine and got $8 in quarters. No one picks up the phone so I guess I just got ripped off and no one is going to do anything about it. Additionally, the last two times I’ve gone, I’ve come back to my clothes (underwear and all) being moved while still wet, half in a dryer and half in a cart, after I paid $7 to let them dry for an hour and someone just decided mid cycle to open the dryer. Then I have to pay all over again and wait. I have a timer set and return to CQ when the timer is up to retrieve my clothes so I know I’m not gone too long, and there are plenty of open dryers. I guess some of the people there just want to go through my clothes for some reason, and the owners will never do anything to clean, reimburse me for lost money, or use all the cameras they have installed to stop random guys from going through my underwear as they’re drying. Clean Quarters should be shut down.

I’ve been here three times. Each time, there have been people smoking inside the actual building, groups doing god knows what in the bathroom, drinking, trying to talk to me about how high they are, and taking up the entire space and all the tables with all their belongings. The machines are filthy, I just had to use a tshirt to scoop someone else’s detergent and fabric softener out of two machines so I could use them. $15 to do a load of laundry in the filthiest conditions. I don’t believe anyone actually runs the laundromat, it just gets worse every time I go. This place should be shut down.

I lost $8.00 in a defective washer (it never finished the final spin cycle) and we had to wash the clothes again in another washer. I called both phone numbers associated with the laundromat and left multiple messages with no response. I live close enough that I could check in periodically when one day, the owner was there. I asked for my money back and explained what had happened. She said sorry and gave me the $8.00. Is that what you have to do to get your money back?!?

So the only good thing I can say is at least the change machines worked, cause otherwise the whole place but especially near the Dryers ,let me tell you, was such a disgusting mess!! I even looked around for a broom to clear in front of the 8 machines I needed, but nothing and Multiple machines had actual trash in them and like 3 others had numerous articles of clothing in them and there was NOONE around the whole hour or more I spent there, Then I timed the dryers, you get 3 mins for .25¢ and it wasn’t even 3 mins! Then I noticed the machines just remained in ‘Cool Down’ mode!!! The place was down right filthy! even at Midnight with no one around!! And then the bathroom, urine everywhere, graffiti on the walls, the sink literally soaked me because of the unexpected water pressure, so much toilet paper on the floor and none in the dispenser!! I left there not feeling clean at all! And this is the whole hearted truth!!
