I was in Charlottesville, Virginia for my friend’s wedding (which I was in), and during travel, my body wash spilled all over my bridesmaid dress and jumpsuit. We discovered the mess at 3 PM on Thursday—with the wedding the very next day. After calling 4-5 dry cleaners and getting turned down by all of them, my husband found this gem and explained our situation. They didn’t hesitate, they told us to bring the items in.

From the moment we walked in, they were kind, understanding, and so helpful. Not only did they clean the dress and jumpsuit by the next morning, but they also had them pressed and ready to wear. I genuinely don’t know what I would’ve done without them. They saved me from a full-blown panic attack.

Wow, this one was an awful customer service experience. Don't go here if you have delicate stuff. If they damage it, they are going to blame you.

I've sent in a shirt before and it was cleaned well. So, I sent in an old 100% silk dress, which had old arm pit stains. The first time I stopped by for pickup, the stains were still there. I thought they missed it somehow based on what the front desk staff said - and they asked me to come back the next day.

The second day, I pick it up and there are rips and holes with slightly lighter stains. Understandably, as a customer, I was shocked and tried to understand what had happened. More people came out from the back and one blonde woman, in particular, came out intensely aggressive and angry. She disparaged the value of my dress - that it's old and "can't even be worth much," and kept asking how old it was and how much I paid for the garment originally. She kept yelling that it was "YOUR arm pit sweat that did the damage," which felt like body shaming in front of her staff. She angrily told me to contact the original dress maker if I want to recoup the cost of the damage because they didn't do anything wrong. They also changed their story - they said that they cleaned twice but when I asked why they didn't warn me the second time could rip the garment (they kept insisting that was unavoidable), then it changed back to one time - but the stain was lighter. The rest of the staff, I'll admit, were pretty measured in comparison to the demeaning woman.

Accidents happen but to have the business owner immediately getting defensive and resorting to yelling at their customer in front of her staff was appalling - especially when they are the ones that damaged the garment. They offered to give me future credit but I'm moving out of the area, so it wasn't useful. I had already paid for the cleaning, so I just asked them to repay me for the amount, and I left. There were no compensations given for damaging a loved garment with sentimental value because it wasn't "worth anything."

Nothing remarkable; just an average regular dry cleaners. There's no dry cleaner location near where I live; this one is one of the two closest dry cleaners, both of which are 45-50 minutes from where I live.

Understandably, the hours online did not reflect the hours that this branch opens. However the sign on the door reflected an 8:00 AM-4:00 PM business day and I sat for over thirty minutes, called, only to be told by the other cleaners that the Preston branch did not open until 9:00 AM.

About four other people showed up while I was waiting. Although we are in the middle of a pandemic, if you’re going to offer open hours of business, please be consistent with those hours and accurate. We wouldn’t want someone else sitting in wait.

The other branch is amazing. Go there.

The worst customer service that I've experienced in a long, long time. Trying to resolve an issue with my dry cleaning, I was schooled on the difference between a fold and a crease, and was told (among other things), "You know, there are more important things in the world right now."  I won't be going back.

So the AC is working now. Still not a fan of having to use a card (theirs) to use machines as it kinda forced you to use them. They have been doing more to keep it clean, and I appreciate that. Still some riff raff bugging people in the parking lot. And the machines are kinda high. But that's everything in this town. Location is central and usually not slammed. A definite plus for me. Since there aren't a lot of choices here, I'll continue to use them. Especially since some of my money is always tied up on that damn card.

Waiting for my new W/D to be delivered so I went to Preston suds and Wow. Even though the place was crowded (free detergent Wednesday) the wonderful woman manager was so helpful. She took the time to explain how pay machines work now. The other patrons also helped me and each other locate open dryers. A great place to wash your clothes and enjoy interesting diverse conversations and interactions with our community.

This was always the best laundromat in town until recently. They washer smell of mildew and they don't fill with water and the dryer BARELY gets hot. It's not clean like it was and you can't tell it's beginning to become just like BUBBLES. If anybody knows anything about BUBBLES ( ITS DISGUSTING). PLEASE don't let "them" destroy the only good clean Laundromat we have here.

I wasn’t happy this past Saturday November 15, 2025 few minutes before 2pm when I stopped by to pick up my clothes.
The lady who checked me out was vaping while pulling out my clothes from the hangers. I am not sure if she’s the owner of this place or just an employee, but whichever one she’s is, I believe someone needs to advise her to stop vaping or using this electronic cigarette inside this place because we all know the health implications. If I bring my clothes to be cleaned and then at the end of the day to pick it up and clothes have such stains or smell such things, then I rather not get it done here again. Thank you

Dropped off a wool duster to be cleaned. It looked great upon pick up. It did take a day longer then anticipated to dry - which I was fine with. Communication was good, staff was prompt and friendly, and price was decent(?) - I don’t have many things dry cleaned so no expert but for a Free People garment I love it was worth it.

Cleaning is good, alteration is terrible. I really have no idea how they managed to achieve such result. The work is extremely unprofessional. I took my blouse here for a professional to do it, but I would it it better myself.

Stole my shoes and money!

I dropped a pair of boots off for a very simple repair, replacement of some elastic, and paid half of the repair fee. After not hearing about the status for several weeks, I came to retrieve them. The work was horrible, glue everywhere and looked worse than when I dropped them off. I refused to accept them and asked that the work be redone. The owner told me the person able to do the work was unavailable for 3 months, but they would call when they were finished. They never called. I came back a few months later, work was never done, and they looked just as bad. I asked again for them to be repaired and came back at another date. At this point, they can't even find my shoes. With promises to call me when they found them, I left. Again, no call. I returned again to retrieve them, they cannot be found. They have never called back with the status. They have stolen the shoes and the money I paid them for the repair. They have never apologized nor offered any refund of the money or reimbursement for my lost (high enough quality to want them fixed) shoes. Horrible quality and customer service.

I have been given an incorrect date three times now for a very small repair on a pair of boots.  I went in to pick up over a month after the promised by date and he'd only done one of the two. He tried to argue with me that the other one was fine but thankfully I still had the original ticket showing both needed repair and that I had paid for both.  It has now been two months and they still are not done.

Machines are very dirty, $5 for a wash is crazy. They have cheaper pick up, wash and fold services for the amount the charge here. Very dirty place overall, lazy ownership

Spent $50 dollars on multiple machines.half of them didn’t work and then when I finally found a washer that did I spent twenty on those. And I couldn’t even tell if it washed it or just tumbled it…. Then  I couldn’t find a dryer that actual drys clothes….30 dollars more….. and I came home with half damp clothes. I spent 5 hours in there. Wasted a lot of money and came home disappointed.

I was honestly surprised to see any good reviews on here.  when i went in here most the washers were taken but finished just no one there to switch them over i use one of the washers loaded up started to put money in and i could literally hear it falling on the ground under the washer. so I moved my clothes to a new washer I only had one basket luckily. then i went to the dryers half of them out of order! i thought i found two that worked i separate my clothes started to put money in and it just started spitting the quarters back out to me I had to unload the clothes and reload them into a new set of dryers. The dryers weren’t very hot even on high Had to sit for a long time and my clothes were still kind of damp.
very disappointed The floor was covered with mud. The table and chairs had sticky stuff all over it like someone spilled stuff everywhere I took the kids back to the car to wait because I wasn’t comfortable sitting in there  It’s not a very welcoming plane
