When visiting Holdrege or in a laundry emergency please come to this business. Do not make the mistake I had by going to the coin operated laundromat in town. Come to this cleaning business, it is very reasonably priced for wash, dry and fold! I couldn’t believe the difference in value and fair treatment from the owners. When you need to do your laundry in Holdrege come to DD cleaners. Avoid Dirty Duds at all costs.

The laundromat was clean. The washers worked well and did not smell.  The dryers could have worked a little better.
This is the first laundromat we have been to that the app charges a convenience fee. All in all I would go back but wouldn't use their app.

Wash cycle 20 minutes, dry cycles same time. There is wifi, snacks, toilet, place seems clean and tidy.
Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the dryer did not dry much the clothes, and I had a very small load.

Very clean place to do laundry. Plenty of machines with different sizes.

We've had our laundry stolen 5 times , the cleaning lady opens the dryers while there still going to "clean out lint from other people getting it all over my clean clothes. She also takes things out of the trash to re-use and keep, as well as giving things out of the trash like laundry sheets and bedding to other people. This is a huge concern as bedbugs can be spread this way ! The bathrooms are always dirty and never any soap . No one has the right to open people's dryers with there clothes still going in it. I have huge issue with this ! Not happy at all that our clothes keep going missing. Dryers take money sometimes ,and washers are not clean with hair all over them.

This place is very clean. All the washers and dryers work. Plenty of space to relax and fold clothes. The biggest downer is having to use tokens. Now I have 4 dollars in tokens and there is no way to change tokens back to real money! TOTAL SCAM RIP OFF!!!

Nice community laundromat. Good street side parking, large enough for any size rig or RV. The store and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Vending machines, token machines, plenty of seating and television about the store. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming. Small wash $3.50 and $1.50 to dry..

Place was clean, however washers are a little pricey at $3.50 while dryers are $1.25, even for the large ones. Also, you cannot use quarters, even to get tokens, you can only use $1s and $5s to get tokens, it was very confusing with no directions around the building.

Used a machine that’s $5 for my clothes. Never saw any water or soap populate in the machine when it was washing. I put a lot of soap and it never showed anything. When I took out my clothes the majority were still dirty. I’ve been to other laundromats before with the same machines and it’s never been an issue. The business doesn’t have a phone number anywhere on the walls for any complaints. I’m not one to leave reviews but was very annoyed that I had to transfer my clothes to another machine to wash it a second time which was $6.75. I’m definitely not doing laundry here anymore. The business is clean but it’s not leaving my clothes clean!

Nice place with lots of machines.  2.00 single,  2.25 double, 3.75 for triple loads and 1.50 for 36 minutes of drying. I did 2 loads plus drying for 5.25. The wash machines will take quarters but the dryers require tokens.

A cash machine ate my $20 bill and then didn't spit out any change. Call the phone number this place is linked to and it  immediately gets declined doesn't even ring or go to voicemail.

Nice little laundromat.  A lot of washers are out of service & maybe could be a little cleaner, but it does the trick.  Wasn’t busy when I was here and even got a game of pinball in.

After reading other reviews I was a bit scaptical about this place, but It's good I came by to check it myself.  Price is good, not busy,  clean. Did my laundry and happy now.

I like the convenience of Karen's speed wash as it's located close to where I reside. It's not the cleanest place to do laundry and half the washers are down due to construction workers grease and oily clothes taking its toll on the machines. The machines smell rancid. Convenience is the best reason to go to Karen's to do my laundry when my machine is down at home.

The owner needs to worry about fixing all the washers that don’t work instead of who opened the door! Very gross and dirty!!!

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I went in this morning to see about getting my military dress uniform cleaned for next week and the owner was completely rude. I walked in and greeted him by saying good morning and asking him how his morning had been; he didn’t even respond. He walked straight up to counter and asked what I wanted. I inquired about getting my uniform cleaned and politely asked how soon I could have it back, and he very sharply told me he wasn’t “playing this game with me” and that I needed to “tell him when I needed it by”. I explained I was going to be going out of state 5 days from now and just needed it back by Tuesday morning. He proceeded to complain about them being the only dry cleaning service around the central part of the state and that he has a lot of work to be done. He then told me it could be ready by Tuesday evening at 5:00. I politely told him that I’d be leaving Tuesday morning and needed them done by then. He cut me off stating “No I can’t do that.” I was done with his rudeness and walked out.

There’s no reason to treat people like this. I simply came in for a service; I didn’t need the red carpet rolled out for me, but the least he could’ve done was treat me with the same respect I was giving him. Definitely stay away from this place.

I brought in 20 shirts that needed to be dry cleaned. Nothing hard, very simple and I was not pressed for time on when they needed to be completed. An older gentleman was there when I walked in and Instantly had an attitude, threw a fit about the amount of shirts I needed done and didn’t seem to want the business. This guy is flat out unprofessional and I can understand why they only have a 2 star review. Someone should open up another dry cleaners in Kearney, because I’m quite certain this arrogant individual would be put out of business. ZERO STARS!

Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The staff at Modern Cleaners & Drapery were not just rude—they were outright disrespectful and dismissive. I was treated like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. No professionalism, no courtesy, and absolutely no accountability. I walked out feeling frustrated and insulted. Save yourself the trouble and take your business somewhere that actually respects its customers. This place doesn’t deserve your time or money.

The main character is very straightforward and I love his honesty. Some may see it as rudeness, but I love that he doesn’t sugar coat anything. He’s my kind of person. If he isn’t 💯 % sure he can do a good job he’ll be sure to tell you! No guessing if something is going to come back poorly cleaned. They do an amazing job. Most of the lower reviews are about his rudeness. But I say go check it out for yourself and be entertained! I walk out of the door chuckling to myself every time! I’m not taking my stuff there for a sweet convo. I’m taking my stuff there to have it cleaned properly. Modern cleaners and drapery… don’t change a thing!

A lot of reviews about the owner and his personality but I've never found him to be rude. He just isn't real social. But I don't come here for customer service and pleasantries.

They do a good job on my clothes for a fair price. Only complaint I have is pricing not being shown or at least estimated. Sending that wedding gown out for dry cleaning cost more than the dress itself. Dependable place though.
