Recently used the coin laundry after many years due to Reno in basement. Super nice clean place, as the name says. It was easy for the newbies to figure it out easily, online pay was a great option. Soap dispensers work great, no issues with the washer or dyer. Price wise I am not sure but it seemed reasonable. Oh and the text message support was also instant. Definitely great customer service.

The worker at this facility is disgustingly rude, when asked a question she groans and moans like she doesn’t even work here. They bring and allow dogs and cats inside the laundry mat, unhygienic especially if you are deathly allergic. The washing machines are almost 6$ each for quick wash, 8$ if you want delicates or cold/hot water. if you want it to wash your clothes for more then 20 mins you’re paying almost 10$ . I brought a dress worth $650.00 and they ruined it.  They pressed the dress twice e when it should have been streamed.  This was for my son’s wedding.  The man never said anything other than it was pressed twice and difficult.  It they are a good dry cleaner they would know how to care for the dress. Last Sunday I brought in my very large down filled duvet and 6 large pillows to wash and thankfully Ora was there to help me! Most washing machines are small (single load) but there are some larger machines that can fit 2,3,4 and one of even 5 loads. Dryers are quite large. The place seemed overall clean and had some books for kids to play with while waiting. Only very few machines were not operating. It seemed like a great alternative, and as you can tell, the name is catchy and adorable.

Clean, machines are all usually working (bottom row of dryers tend to dry faster), friendly and helpful people work there. They have a drop off service if you don't have the time to - or interest to - do it yourself.

Love that this place heats their water using solar energy! What a cool idea. Also, free WiFi and great hours. Oh, and it's coin operated, not stupid card operated. Only downfall is that there isn't really a good place to sit and chill while you wait.

This place is clean, machines are new, and in good repair. They offer dry cleaning services too. Owner is a kind and caring person. One of the best coffee places in town is next door.

If there is anything that upsets me the most is when my time is wasted.  I was at this laundry mat at 6:20am and put in 2 loads with soap.

I go to put a bill in the change machine and it doesn’t work.  My understanding is that it only takes loonies and toonies, which is totally ridiculous. Not one sign around stating that their change machine is not working properly. Why wasn’t the change machine inspected by the owner when they opened the mat in the morning? The phone number listed on the wall to call in case of an issue is out of service.

I had to spend an additional 20 mins trying to find a place to get change for $20. There was another local laundry mat that actually had a working change machine and I was able to get change. Ironically, the laundry Mat I got change from did not have signs on their wall discouraging people from using their change machine if not doing business with them, yet Beach Solar Laundry mat does…

A business that solely relies on one way of payment to use their machines, but fails to provide the means to use them. No signage or warnings at there door about their defective change machine. No customer service apparently until 8am when the dry cleaner next door opens.

But current staff members are so rude; dryers don’t work properly so you have to pay double to dry your clothes. And it looks like the owner doesn’t care if he loses the customer. Because when I complained about the ongoing issues there He advised me to go other laundromat close by. Unbelievably rude. They definitely lost me.

I went in Tuesday to get two pairs of jeans taken in at both the waist and thigh ($100 total—discounted, and so I think the website is a little outdated), and picked them up Thursday.

I'm happy with the turnaround time! The process was simple, 10-15 minutes. I stepped into the pants and told them where I needed it altered. I also brought a pair of well-fitting jeans, which they kept as reference. One of the jeans I brought had a irregular seam design, which I am glad they could preserve for the most part.

(This is my fault, but if you're bringing in any jeans, I recommend you break them in prior, since new denim fits tighter.)

However, the result was disastrous—the small stain turned into a much larger, more obvious one, making the sweater completely unwearable. Additionally, a new stain appeared on the neckline, which was not there before.

Their claim about having cleaned the sweater multiple times is simply not true. Not only was my sweater mishandled, but other items I left with them, such as my T-shirts, were also delayed. I followed their timeline and went to pick up my items on the agreed date, but was told they weren’t ready and needed more time. When I returned a second time, my clothes—including the sweater—were still not properly cleaned, and the owner said they needed to be re-cleaned yet again. This pattern of delaying and making excuses shows a complete lack of professionalism and care.

Their actions and excuses contradict each other, and it’s clear they are simply trying to brush customers off rather than taking responsibility. I stand by my review: this business is dishonest, careless, and unprofessional. I strongly urge others not to trust them with your valuable clothing.

I trusted them with my expensive sweater after they assured me it would be “spotless” and promised there would be no issues. I only discovered the damage when I got onto my car and opened the package (because I was worried there might still be some damage and it turned out I was right.)

When I brought it back to the owner, he said he would re-clean it and, if the damage couldn’t be fixed, offer a compensation of $150—which is far below the actual value of my sweater(more than $7k). I requested to file an insurance claim, but they refused to provide updates. They never reached out to me, ignored my calls, and always came up with excuses like Christmas and New Year delays. Yet, when asked for proof that they had contacted their insurance, they couldn’t provide any.

This level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. I feel incredibly frustrated and betrayed by their service. Please learn from my experience and avoid trusting this business with your valuable items.
