Terrible Experience at Romie’s Cleaner

I brought my Supreme x The North Face Suede Nuptse Jacket ($1372) in for cleaning, and after being assured they use the "weakest solvent" for leather and suede, the jacket came back ruined. The fabric bled in multiple areas. They claimed it was due to the manufacturer not pre-rinsing it, but I was never warned that this could happen. When I asked for a refund, they refused, saying I was notified of the risk, which I never was. Horrible service, negligence, and complete lack of responsibility. Never coming back.

I needed alterations done on a dress for an upcoming trip, Nadia, the absolutely WONDERFUL seamstress took such great care of me, my dress that I had no hope for, is now my favorite!!! And it was even done 2 days earlier than expected! The entire staff is the friendliest joyful group, it was such a pleasure doing business here!

I stopped in from out of town, and the laundromat was easy to get to. The facilities are clean and accept both coins and cards. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice. They also offer free laundry soap. They have ample parking and handicap access. I will definitely be using them again and I highly recommend them.

Used to be a good laundromat but it went downhill when new owners bought it out. The machines are horrible there's no hot water that you can choose from. The attendants here are rude and nasty. Asked for a refund and never even got a call back. Only go here if you have to.

DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF! This is hard to believe.but this Dry Cleaner charged me $29.50……FOR A 2 PIECE SUIT and a DRESS SHIRT!
I dropped off my clothes at 8:15 am on Friday. morning (receipt incorrectly shows 9:40) and explained I needed them before 11am the next day.
Later that same afternoon I received a text saying my clothes were ready for pickup… and the cost was…….$29.50!!!   WHEN I SAW THE. $29.50…..I thought surely it must be a mistake! . Nope. When I returned I questioned the ridiculous charge. The Clerk explained that although Dry Cleaner is open on Saturdays, they do no dry cleanion Saturdays.  So why do they bother to open on Saturdays? Perhaps to rip off others unsuspecting customers.
So because I needed my clothes the next day, and Rick’s Tip Tip Dry Cleaner doesn’t do any work on Saturday, my clothes were cleaned on Friday, as if a ‘same day’ service had been requested. There was absolutely no mention of this ridiculous high-priced scam
when I dropped off my clothes that morning. IMHO This is total made-up BS scam in order  to rip off as many unsuspecting customers as possible.  What they’ve actually done, in my case, is to lose a potential long-term customer. I will be using Kennedy’s Dry Cleaner in the future just a couple blocks East of this over-priced……………dry cleaner. I highly suggest everyone reading this review also give Kennedys a try.

Mike and his team did a great job removing the water stains, pressing it to perfection, and even transferred it to the NSB location to make my pickup experience easier. And, he gave me a great price! Came here for the first time to wash some extra large bedding items. The place is super clean. Had the large washers I needed. Didn't have to wait long at all to get my laundry going. Dryers were available as well quickly. I will definitely come back when I need to clean stuff too big for my home washer. This is the closest one there is to my house, as well as being nice and clean. Clean. I used to have to drive all the way over to beville Road so this is nice.

We take our laundry here and the ladies are always so nice! Reasonably priced per lb and the pick up and delivery service is super great. Laundry is always clean and done on time. Def recommend!

This place came highly recommended for drop off services.  I can see why, they were busy inside when I went in with people doing laundry. I used the drop off services for 2 king quilts; they had many other orders. It was very clean, they have great prices, and the staff was so kind and helpful.

They did a wonderful job cleaning my wedding dress! I was nervous to take the dress to get cleaned due to it being a handmade lace, but they made it look brand new (even after I wore it in the sand and ocean)!

They are providing good customer service and always helpful. They engage nicely with the customers. Their service is great and if they are unable to work on some tough stains they inform you well about the reasons. Appreciate this business in Port Orange.

I was looking for an affordable and established dry cleaner I could trust with my most precious items. This location is wonderful! I had linens during the summer that came out perfectly.
They use all natural ingredients to clean. I previously had issues with other dry cleaners leaving behind a smell.
I just picked up a large comforter and two blankets that came out beautifully.
The employees and the owner are extremely nice and courteous. They are polite, professional, and timely. I would recommend any of their three locations to anyone in the Port Orange or New Smyrna Beach area.

DO NOT DRY YOUR CLOTHES HERE!!! MY SHEETS, BLANKETS, TOWELS, MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER SLEEPING BAG AND ALL OF MY DAUGHTERS JACKETS AND HOODIES CAUGHT ON FIRE YESTERDAY! THE OWNER NEVER CALLED ME. (Which I requested). The attended said it was my daughter’s sleeping bag. BUT I WASHED THAT SAME SLEEPING BAG FOR MONTHS EVERY WEEKEND FOR SCHOOL! They said since it was “my fault” I can’t be compensated for anything. What type of stuff is that. Bad business that’s for sure! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

So gross! I haven’t been here in months, since the last owners. Definitely will not be coming back. I have been a loyal customer for years.   I really liked the old system of quarters because if I didn’t use them all, I still had my money. The new “loyalty card” is a way to get people’s money and keep it. Not right. 0/10 experience. Prices have gone up too! $11 for a big washer, and for what? Them not to sweep? Gross. Also the bathrooms are “locked for safety” when there’s not an attendant, so just bring your can with you to go potty.

You guys need to put a stop to commercial cleaners abusing this laundromat. I admire they have their own business but to be doing this much laundry when locals just want to get theirs done so they can go home and get ready for the next day is ridiculous. Just think about how much abuse these machines go through and how dirty they become for the customers after them.

Funny how you will allow commercial cleaners here yet can leave bathroom unlocked. I’ve never seen anyone here just abusing the bathroom. Common sense ain’t to common anymore

Need a good Laundromat? Need to get your clothes done quick and easy? THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO!! Could definitely use a good thorough cleaning, place was very messy, Alot of machines were out of order. And to make matters worse the entire facility only had two rolling laundry carts! (two carts for about 50 washers and dryers) which were all being used!

I've come here for about a year as it's been Spin City. I had to come during the day as the laundromat won't stop the commercial cleaning folks from taking over for hours at night, big inconvenience. It's also another big inconvenience to tell other customers to go to another spin city, but hey you all get to benefit so i guess that's all that matters SMH. I stopped coming overall to this location in Ormond and I'm thinking of going to another laundromat altogether. The previous entity was much better.

I want to point out that the machine accept $1 of $2. Within a few minutes of calling customer service, my $1 was refunded. I would give their customer 5 stars. 2nd time I've had to use them and both times were simple and satisfying.

As for the laundromat itself... its value is decreasing.

WOW!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I am so impressed. I brought in my mom's wedding dress that is 31 years old and had severe yellowing and stains and they got it all out! I am so excited to be able to wear it for my rehearsal dinner. ♡ & They were so fast! I took it in on Monday and they had it back to me by Wednesday! THANK YOU Brooke Cleaners! I cried after picking it up I was just so amazed.

I took a very expensive dry clean only racing jacket in that had multiple stains and they got most of them out and at a reasonable price and quick! Dropped off Friday at noon and it was ready the following Monday by noon. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding dry cleaners.  They do a great job, and can handle fine fabrics, woolens, and sequins, with no problem.  Great customer service, also.   Prices aren't low,  but totally fair for quality work. And your clothes will last.

Worst dry cleaner in Volusia County

I chose this place because it had lots of 5* reviews and lots wedding dress pictures. It is 30 minutes from home but it seemed like they specialized in this so I assumed it was a great option.

Trip1: I had two wedding dresses (one was meant to be for the ceremony and one was meant to be a reception dress) I ended up wearing the first dress for about an hour inside the airbnb before opting to wear the reception dress for the whole thing. The first dress had a small bit of makeup around the top and minimal dirt on the hemline. The second dress was worn outside and was VERY dirty. They quoted based on the length of the train NOT how dirty it was. They wanted $350 (plus tax) for the first dress and another $300 (plus tax) for the second dress… just cleaning, no preserving. I opted to only have them clean the first dress as I was selling it since it was barely worn. I also dropped off my husband’s 3pc suit. Paid for the wedding dress in advance.

Trip 2: A few days later I get the text saying everything was ready so I headed over. Obviously, I spent a LOT of money getting it cleaned so I inspected the dress before leaving. They missed several spots, completely busted the hook at the top of the zipper (which they blamed me for), and the dress was still damp and sticky everywhere. Especially where it had heavier fabric or decorations. I refused to take a still dirty, damaged, still wet dress so they said they were going to fix it all. I paid for and head home with just the suit. I did not check it over since the entire shop is filled with suits and dress shirts. How hard could it be? I get home and open the bag to put it in a suit bag just to see there are iron marks ALL OVER the suit.

Trip 3: The 3pc suit gets taken back the next day, they say they will redo it. We also asked specifically to text us when everything was ready so we could just make one more trip since it was so far away.

Trip 4: Get a generic text saying our items are ready for pickup. ASSUMING this text meant EVERYTHING based on our previous trip, I head over. They hand me the suit and I inspect it, pants look good, jacket looks good…. Vest is missing?????? Apparently, whoever took the 3pc suit on trip 3 put it as two items instead of three and now nobody knows where the vest is. Also, the wedding dress WASN’T EVEN THERE after specifically asking to text us when EVERYTHING was ready.

Later that day get a text saying our items are ready and we have an additional balance to pay ($9.52)

Trip 5: I called ahead this time to ask what the extra charge was for and if they had both the wedding dress and the vest to pick up. They said that the charge was for the vest because it got re-cleaned. But it was just as messed up as the pants and the jacket I sent them a photo that I had taken to prove it and they had to wait for the manager to come in hours later to remove the charge.

When I arrive to pick up my dress and the vest, the dress still has the stains at the top and was no longer in the white “complementary” bag (I’m sure it is built into the exorbitant price tag) that it was in the first time, it still had all the spots, and they put the hook back on so poorly that the hook is useless as it makes the dress bulge.

All in all, even if I lived next door to this place I wouldn’t give them a penny.
