The woman wearing glasses with brown hair working there is extremely rude and made me felt discriminated against (I’m Asian) on multiple occasions. I live close by and has been a regular customer over more than a year and always liked this place. The staff are friendly, and the place is clean and well maintained. Recently, a seemingly new female employee (referenced earlier) started working there (never saw her before until a few weeks ago) and I started to notice every time I walked in, she was staring at me for a few seconds in an unfriendly way, which is pretty noticeable that I felt quite uncomfortable. But I dismissed it and thought perhaps I was just being sensitive. Two weeks ago when I went in and tried to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer, there were no empty carts available ( a few carts were not used by the customers and had only one or two items in it). I waited for a few minutes before asking this woman if she could help me get a empty cart ( I only needed it for a few minutes) and I thought at least she can clear the cart that had only one item. Mind you, these carts were not being used by any customers and the items in these carts were dried, just waiting to be folded. To my surprise, she was extremely rude and denied abruptly and walked away. I felt the way she handled my request was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate as I had been actively looking for a cart and she could see that and didn’t offer to help. When I came up to her, she acted like I was bothering her. But I let it go. Today, when I was walking in to switch laundry, I had a small half full cup of coffee in my hand, I immediately put the coffee cup on top of the washer and was about to take my clothes out of the washer. since the whole process would only take me a few minutes, I didn’t think leaving my coffee cup on the top of the washer for a few minutes would be a problem - especially as there were no other customers in the laundry machines area, my cup is size small and half empty, all the way in (not even close to the edge), there would be no chance it will spill. I was going to take it with me and walk out as soon as I put my clothes in the dryer. However, the same female employee who ignored me when I asked for help before immediately walked up to me demanding me to put the cup away in the front. (They had a small counter in the front of the store). The washers holding my clothes are all the way back on the opposite side of the counter and there was already a customer sitting at the counter, which is why I didn’t leave my coffee there in the first place. I honestly didn’t think it’s a big deal and again, the whole process of switching laundry took less than 3 minutes or even less ! The way she came up to me made me feel targeted, given the previous incidents. I never encountered any form of discrimination and never felt unwelcome at any places before, but this very first time, I felt uncomfortable and sensed the hostility when I was just doing my laundry. Extremely offended and disappointed. I don’t ever leave negative reviews but this time, I have to because I felt this female employee was targeting me from the very beginning based on my race. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated.

Mr. Cleaners has been fantastic! I use their drop off services for regular laundry and to clean work uniforms. Everything comes back exactly when I need it, fresh, clean and perfectly folded. All of the staff is fantastic. Fanny is always so helpful and incredibly sweet. It’s the perfect neighborhood laundromat.

Best laundromat👍👍!!!! CLEAN, spacious, machines in good condition. I drive a few blocks to the there and is worth it, Fanny and the other ladies working there always greet me with a friendly hello and smile. I have been doing my laundry or dropping off for I believe little more than 3 years.

Easily the nicest laundromat in Astoria - it’s so clean! The owner Nick, is always around and SO helpful and kind. Drop off service is great too, you get text updates when your laundry is ready. 10/10!!

have been going here once/twice a week for about two years now, without issue. however, today i was stopped by a man (i assume is the owner?) on my way out, showing me a screenshot of security footage of a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WOMAN OF A DIFFERENT RACE, asking me IF I WAS HER, and if i owned the hat she was wearing in the picture, because she had apparently stolen someone else’s clothes out of the dryer. i looked NOTHING like her. not only was she white/had a light complexion, but also different build, and we don’t even look to be around the same age. needless to say, not giving them my business again.
