DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHING HERE! I have had better experiences at the DMV. On Friday morning, I brought in a pair of jeans to have tapered and another to have two pen cap sized holes patched (actually, one hole and one worn spot that I wanted to preemptively stop from getting worse). Then I told her the jeans to be repaired are to be the sample for the other jeans to be tapered (one was slim and tapered, the other was a straight fit through the legs). She said no problem, you can pick them up Monday. I show up Monday and they aren’t ready. This time it is the man (the other owner). He tells me that she shouldn’t have told me they would be ready by then. Okay? No phone call? Fine. The next day, I get a call from the woman saying one pair had been repaired but the other couldn’t be tapered because they were the same size as the model pair. I told her that that is impossible simply by the design of the jeans. One was straight leg and the other tapered. She would not listen and brushed me off. I show up later to pick up my jeans, and I show the man the two leg holes on top of each other. There is over an inch difference between the leg holes. I asked if I was missing something or misunderstanding. He wouldn’t answer me, he just kept telling me “well what do you want me to do?” I could tell that he was getting upset with me that I am trying to figure out why they lied to me about the size and not being able to taper the jeans when it was patently clear that they could be tailored. Then I grab my other pair of jeans to review the repairs. There were two spots I wanted fixed, neither spot was larger than the circumference of a pen cap. Both spots had been patched with horribly sloppy work. The patches were about two inches long by an inch wide and there was stitching running across the entire area of the patch in careless, random patterns with thread that didn’t even match the color of the surrounding area! It was obvious that the tailor did not care how the repairs looked. Let me remind you that you would be able to cover both wear spots with the tip of your pinky finger. Shocked at how sloppy and callous the repairs were, I asked the man if this was an acceptable repair. He got mad at me again and then went as far as accusing me of doing this before! This was not only dishonest but disrespectful. I asked to tell me when I had done that before. He had no response (because I had NEVER done that before). I then asked if I was being unreasonable about the repair and if this was typical of a repair as I didn’t know. He refused to answer and instead said “well, what do you want me to do? Get on my hands and knees and say ‘im sorrrrrryy’?” I could not believe what I was witnessing! I wanted some customer service. I wanted him to tell me that this was not acceptable as a repair and that he was sorry for that and would do what he could to rectify such a horrific tailoring as well as own up to lying to me about the other pair of jeans and righting the wrongs. He was clearly not going to do any of that. I couldn’t even believe that a grown man with a business would resort to such juvenile and disrespectful behavior. I grabbed my jeans and left. I have never been so disrespected in any establishment in my life. The woman has always been rude, short, and of little interest in anything I have concerns about. She lied to me about the time of pick-up twice now, she lied to me about the jeans being the same size. She couldn’t even write up the ticket correctly because she was so preoccupied with her day-time TV shows. The man has always been short, disrespectful, and confrontational. Neither one will apologize about anything that is clearly wrong on their parts and both are incapable of showing any sort of professionalism. There are a dozen other dry-cleaners/tailors downtown that I have been to that all have been great. If you don’t want your things destroyed and then disrespected by the employees, go to any of these other dry cleaners and save yourself the hassle and disappointment. I will never go back to this place and neither should you.

I have a favorite coat. My favorite coat gets grumpy on occasion and pulls a seam. Custom Cleaners always treats my favorite coat as though it is their favorite coat, too.

I used this place before but didn’t remember prices. Used to go because of proximity and convenience. Customer service was always lacking , dry, non-attentive and not friendly. Always a stern face and sense of entitlement. A smile or a pleasant greeting goes a long way when you depend on your customers to have a successful business. I called to get quotes on two clothing items. The woman I spoke with seemed at first to not want to provide prices but she did for one item. When I asked for the price on the second item she said she had a customer and put me on hold for 7 minutes. Never came back. It was almost as if she wanted me to just forget about it. Showed no interest on me as a previous or potential customer. These business owners have to learn or relearn the humility of earning our business. Taking my business somewhere else.
