Pennine Dry Cleaners

I'm really sad to write this review because I wanted to give five stars originally and I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses but I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I brought my wedding dress for last minute dry cleaning as my alterations were delayed so I was really happy when they agreed to turn it around in time for me. However when I picked up my dress the cleaning process had destroyed the cups in my dress and I've spent the day before my wedding glueing them back together - not the stress I needed! The guy who does the dry cleaning is nice and seemed so helpful but completely denied this damage was anything to do with them and insisted that it must have been my seamstress, even though I know the dress was fine before the cleaning. Really disappointing. In the end I just took my dress and left because there wasn't anything else I could do. I paid £140 for the cleaning, no idea if this is the going rate as prices aren't transparent. I'd suggest if you are going to have your wedding dress cleaned here, get it done before your alterations so any damage can be fixed.

Delighted with alterations to my curtains. Nina added extra fabric to lengthen existing curtains, and then made 2 lovely cushions with left over fabric. Top quality alteration, looks so smart. And all in good time.

I decided to go here, due to it being one of the local dry cleaners to me that actually do everything in house, unfortunately there isn’t many about now. Everything that we gave came back good, in dry clean bags & metal coat hangers. The only comment I would say, prices are really high, which has slightly put me off coming back.

A consistently high quality professional dry cleaners and alterations service, which I would highly recommend to everyone. My husband and I have used Pennine Dry Cleaners for many years now. Initially for dry cleaning our business suits, but also a range a special items from bespoke curtains to suede skirts. We had never been disappointed in any way. I have also made great use of the clorhing alteration services which are second to none. This has ranged from replacing zips in expensive clothing items to shortening trousers. Outstanding value for money with the time it takes. Two lovely, kind and professional business owners who always take pride not only in their work but getting to know and remember you.
