My mum popped in today with my boyfriend’s suit which needed ironing for a wedding! It was done while she waited, brilliant service and very helpful.

Used the launderette today for the first time and was served by a lovely lady named Marie. She provided fantastic customer service and was very helpful. The shop was clean and well looked after. I'll definitely be back to use these services, mostly because of Marie and her polite and friendly attitude

Charlie is absolutely amazing. I went with a bridesmaid dress in a creased ball and she worked her magic to make it look like a new dress. Always so friendly, helpful and accommodating doing the dress there and then. I will be back, and recommending this place just because of her.

Had the shock of my life when collecting my laundry which consisted of a double coverless quilt and a single one again coverless, I was told she couldn’t give me a price until they were done , now these are only 4.5 tog quilts so was expecting £20 ish, £36 !!!  What the?? Certainly won’t be getting anything done there again!

Staff are always so pleasant and so helpful! We are lucky to have such a great laundrette down the road.

After this place was recommended to me, I visited to have some patches sewn onto my leather vest. I dropped it off on a Friday and was told it would be ready by Tuesday.
When I went to pick it up, I was very disappointed to find visible holes in the leather—clear signs of poor workmanship. This vest is something I had been searching for over a long period. I eventually ordered it from the U.S. and waited quite a while for it to arrive.
While I won’t go into detail about the price or the sentimental value it holds for me, the damage done is truly frustrating. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend their services.

Myself and my family have always used this particular store (sandiacre) for everything watches and dry cleaning. Stephen in particular has always been an absolute star! Couldn’t recommend more.

I'm really sad to write this review because I wanted to give five stars originally and I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses but I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I brought my wedding dress for last minute dry cleaning as my alterations were delayed so I was really happy when they agreed to turn it around in time for me.  However when I picked up my dress the cleaning process had destroyed the cups in my dress and I've spent the day before my wedding glueing them back together - not the stress I needed! The guy who does the dry cleaning is nice and seemed so helpful but completely denied this damage was anything to do with them and insisted that it must have been my seamstress, even though I know the dress was fine before the cleaning. Really disappointing. In the end I just took my dress and left because there wasn't anything else I could do. I paid £140 for the cleaning, no idea if this is the going rate as prices aren't transparent.
I'd suggest if you are going to have your wedding dress cleaned here, get it done before your alterations so any damage can be fixed.

Delighted with alterations to my curtains. Nina added extra fabric to lengthen existing curtains, and then made 2 lovely cushions with left over fabric. Top quality alteration, looks so smart. And all in good time.

I decided to go here, due to it being one of the local dry cleaners to me that actually do everything in house, unfortunately there isn’t many about now.

Rang to check they had a large drum machine to take a double bed topper. The lady was very helpful, told to come down-so no wasted journey. All washed and dried. Lovely staff and a clean environment, definitely recommend.

Did a fantastic repair on some suit trousers that I thought I would have to throw out because of how many rips and tears there were. Very friendly customer service and excellent tailoring and dry cleaning at a very good Value price. Cannot fault.

So amazing! I just went in today with a satin dress I have for a ball on Thursday that needed steaming - they were so helpful! This review is for the Alvaston branch of Bright Dry Cleaners. I took my long winter coat, which cost nearly £100, to be dry cleaned. A few days later, I picked it up and, upon trying it on at home, realised it had shrunk by about 2 inches all over, with the lining hanging down awkwardly.

I returned to the shop to complain. The manager, Nav, assured me he’d get the lining altered to fit and would refund the cleaning cost of around £25. He promised to call me when it was done. However, a week passed without any updates, so I called him. He apologized, claiming he was ill and hadn’t been able to call me back, but said he would check on the coat and follow up. Days later, still no call.

I decided to visit the shop again and found a woman steaming my coat. After waiting about 15 minutes, I tried it on, only to see no improvement. The arms were still an issue, the lining still hung unevenly, and the overall length was a mess.  It was clear that whoever had worked on the coat had no proper expertise, leaving it puckered and poorly altered.

Nav wasn’t there, so I called him from the shop. He claimed his car had just broken down and couldn’t talk at length, but assured me he’d resolve the issue soon. I left the coat there once again. After more than a week without hearing anything, I returned to find my coat hanging on a rail. It was obvious nothing had been done. Trying it on confirmed this.

Frustrated, I complained again, and the assistant in the shop called Nav, handing me the phone. Nav said there was nothing more he could do. When I brought up compensation, he claimed to have spent £53 on altering the lining and suggested that, had I mentioned compensation earlier, he wouldn’t have bothered with the alterations. Regarding the promised cleaning refund, he claimed he didn’t have enough money in the till—this was during a busy afternoon. He took my bank details, promising to transfer the refund, but weeks later, I’ve received nothing. Repeated calls went unanswered.

The entire experience has been disgraceful. My coat is now completely ruined due to their incompetence, and their failure to provide proper service or resolution is appalling. If you have anything of value, avoid this dry cleaner at all costs—they’ll destroy it! I absolutely do not recommend them!

I recently had a disappointing experience with this dry cleaners. I entrusted them with my expensive cloth, only to have it returned in a significantly damaged condition. Definition of a launderette is a coin operated machine for public use....this is not a launderette. Service washes are welcome at £15. The picture of the silver machines in the advert was not here, I include a photo of the machines of which I was told only one small machine was available and working. Just came here today 10/11/2024 at 7:30pm to wash my work uniforms as I need for tomorrow, unfortunately the lady which I believe she do the cleaning she didn’t let me to wash my clothes cause it’s last wash time is 7:30 pm and as I asked every wash took 45 minutes and I don’t need to dry it’s just wash and go and still she didn’t let me to wash my clothes.
Please update your closing hours on Google map as people trust on that hours and come all the way as need EMERGENCY washings.

Great launderette in Nottingham. Machines of various sizes and all of them now seem capable of a boil wash! Reasonable pricing and the staff are always friendly. Change available from notes (and I’m sure if you only had card they’d give you change!). Lady will help you with the settings if not sure.
Massive 27KG machine for huge loads, and the small machines are bigger than house ones and can actually hold quite a bit!
Only thing letting it down is the 2 front machines are out of order and there’s sometimes a wait for dryers.. maybe you could look at investing in a stacked dryer set?
Another thing that’s disappointing is they’ve removed the “heavy soil” & “extra rinse” setting from the new machines. (Pre-wash is still available to select) Maybe they’ll consider bringing this back at some point (even if it’s at an extra charge!)?
4th machine in didn’t look too stable. (Compared with the others, although the doors do move on them all during the wash!).
Overall very good.

Would rather go somewhere else avoid them with some old age ugly female harassing myself.

Staff super, and ironing  very good value , have been going for years. The only real concern is Covid restrictions, not good , masks need to be worn by customers and notices to say as such. Better ventilation in customer area.
