definitely would not recommend this Laundrette.  appeared very friendly and helpful at the beginning when I first rang for a quote. I was told it would be one large service wash of £22 after I  listed exactly what there was and then was called up once ready to collect to be told a price of £66  triple to the original price quoted. no phone call to tell me this price change just went ahead and did it anyway. this was all brand new caravan bedding that I wanted just freshening up. all the same colour. I tried to explain to the owner what his wife had said but he was  just being argumentative  calling me a Liar. I've since rang round other Laundrettes listing what I had and all was  around the first price I was given saying it would definitely be one large wash and at most one large and smaller so no quotes was more than £33 and I rang alot of Laundrettes. they all said no way would it be anywhere near £66 . anyway to save anymore hassle and being called a liar I had to pay the price to get my washing back. collected today and Laundrette was filthy. looked over the serving hatch and there was a dog lying on a filthy  dog bed and was very dirty looking back there.  nothing against dogs but not very hygienic and what about people with allergies.

Not true just a hater  he says. 🙄  excuse me but being quoted one price and being charged triple yes I'm a hater now for definite. You know everything I've said is true. I'm warning others of your awful business. I've been quite fair to be honest.

Friendly staff, clean and tidy.  The low rating is entirely based on the very over inflated prices  (even in this current economic climate).  £3 = 15 mins.  It’s expensive.
The half load of light weight poly cotton garments and socks weren’t completely dry.  The machines are +10 years old and don’t take new pound coins.  You have to ‘exchange’ them.  In my experience average national cost for tumble drying is around £1 = 9 mins.

I took my winter quilt in to be washed before I store it away in a storage bag, both the ladies were very helpful and cheerful, they sorted it out for me while I fetched another bottle of fabric conditioner from Home Bargins, I will definitely be going there again. Great for parking too.

I have used In a Spin, Langley Mill quite a few times now to freshen up duvets/mattress protectors etc and I can’t rate them enough.
They work incredibly hard to return your items quickly and in pretty much a ‘new’ condition.

First time I have used Iron Maidens and was very impressed from the initial enquiry to the delivery. An excellent service and highly recommended.

Here's my experience.
During a work trip, I was staying at a local hotel, bringing only enough shirts for the week. During lunch one day, I noticed some sauce had splashed onto the shirt I was wearing. In a panic, I quickly changed and googled how to get sauce out of a shirt.

After some frantic conversations with the hotel, I was pointed in the direction of Iron Maidens, a local business that's helped some people before.

Here's why I wish I could give Iron Maidens more attention and more than just 5 stars.

I called midday and spoke to a very happy and helpful, Joanne (I'm so sorry if I've not spelt your name correctly!) She was sympathetic and after hearing my request, quickly put me through to John.

John was more than happy to help. He gave me some reassurances on the phone and later, I travelled down to drop off my shirt.
I got there a little late in the evening, but inwas greeted warmly and even though it was close to closing, I was given a lot of time to go through what I needed and when I needed it done by.
"We will do everything we can. You're picking it up a couple days so it gives us the chance to try as many times as we can"
It wasn't going to be a '1 wash and that's it' I was reassured they'll go that extra mile to help me.
I left that evening knowing whatever the outcome, it'll be the best outcome possible.

Fast forward to the day of collection, I was late leaving my business event and called John in a bit of panic, thinking they'll be closed before I get to them.
"Don't worry, James, I'll probably be closing late anyway, get here when you can"
Luckily I didn't arrive late, but knowing John would keep the store open for me, just to collect 1 shirt, was incredibly nice of him.

John gave me the shirt and at first, I thought he did a miracle!
I saw a shirt that looked brand new. But John was very professional and showed me how the stain wasn't completely out (you can only see it if I point it out to you, and even then, it's hard to see.)

John showed me his integrity, he showed me how he wanted to make it perfect but because of the oil in the sauce, it wasn't going to happen, BUT in my eyes it's gone and the shirt is saved!

John and his team delivered exceptional customer service. All this for just £3.95. Incredibly reasonable to have a shirt washed (several times) treated, ironed and ready, in such a short time for such a good price.

Before I left, I made a comment to say I wished his business was closer to home and I stand by that. After my experience, I'd hand over all my weekly washing needs to John and his team and would highly recommend all their services to anyone looking.

I took a handful of business cards and passed them to the hotel, but I wanted to write my experience for anyone and everyone who needs a professional, friendly, and time effective laundry service to take their needs straight to John and Iron Maidens.

I have been using Iron Maidens for a number of years to iron my work shirts. The service is excellent and the home delivery is really helpful especially when they are ironed. I wouldn't go anywhere else and price is good for the service you get.

After this place was recommended to me, I visited to have some patches sewn onto my leather vest. I dropped it off on a Friday and was told it would be ready by Tuesday.
When I went to pick it up, I was very disappointed to find visible holes in the leather—clear signs of poor workmanship. This vest is something I had been searching for over a long period. I eventually ordered it from the U.S. and waited quite a while for it to arrive.
While I won’t go into detail about the price or the sentimental value it holds for me, the damage done is truly frustrating. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend their services.

Worst, worst launderette we have ever had the dire misfortune of dealing with. I use launderettes a lot because I'm disabled and doing one's own laundry can be really overwhelming in that situation. We purchased a sizeable service wash with Mainwise, Mansfield Rd and all our stuff came back shrunk, bleached out, and / or looking about 10-12 years older than it was before we submitted the laundry. With the elastic worn out. I don't know what they're doing to the stuff but presumably using tonnes of detergent and leaving the stuff in the dryers forever or they did so with our items. I have no idea. Anyway I called to complain and dropped by a sample of the laundry to demonstrate my point, at their request (at obvious personal cost and inconvenience). The managers said they saw nothing wrong with the clearly bleached and shrunken laundry and said they would not issue me a refund; a discount; nothing. When I threatened to leave a bad review they basically just said, that's your choice. Why put us through all that hassle just to blow us off. Apalling business. Avoid like the plague. They clearly have no idea how to protect clothes and simply label themselves a last resort for the desperate. So annoyed!

Had a white dress dried cleaned. Was a good price and was cleaned with in 4 days.

Not recommended. I paid £25 for cleaning two coats, and the result was disappointing. I could have just washed them at home… The coats were not properly cleaned, and the fabric wasn’t even de-pilled. A waste of money.

Took my dress in for repair and clean came to £18.50 when I got it back home open the plastic my dress smelt so bad like damp my partner took 4x suits and they had loads of creases still in them  normally the service is good but do t know what happened this time round

Service had a quick turnaround time. Suit and shirt combo came back clean with only two tiny blemishes that came out subsequently with damp brushing. Some staff members were helpful and receptive to questions, others were not. Value for money was very reasonable, quite satisfied on the whole, thanks. 👍

Had an emergency wedding  to attend,  so needed a suit dry cleaned and pressed at short notice. Seems the normal turnaround time is 24 hours, and the price was excellent,  at ￡7.50. Cannot complain at all, very happy and would use again  and recommend to others.

Repaired a pair of ripped jeans, flawlessly, for £12. Clear communication and great service. They called when it was back in, it gets sent out to be repaired, so saved me having to worry.

I’ve been really impressed with National Dry Cleaners in Nottingham. The service is consistently fantastic – the staff are friendly, professional, and always happy to offer helpful advice on garment care and clothing repairs. You can tell they genuinely care about doing a good job and looking after their customers.

Their rates are very reasonable, especially considering the level of service and attention to detail. The quality of the cleaning is excellent – far better than many of the high street dry cleaners I’ve used around Nottingham. It’s refreshing to find a local business that delivers both great results and great customer care. Highly recommend!

I'm really sad to write this review because I wanted to give five stars originally and I hate leaving negative reviews for local businesses but I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I brought my wedding dress for last minute dry cleaning as my alterations were delayed so I was really happy when they agreed to turn it around in time for me.  However when I picked up my dress the cleaning process had destroyed the cups in my dress and I've spent the day before my wedding glueing them back together - not the stress I needed! The guy who does the dry cleaning is nice and seemed so helpful but completely denied this damage was anything to do with them and insisted that it must have been my seamstress, even though I know the dress was fine before the cleaning. Really disappointing. In the end I just took my dress and left because there wasn't anything else I could do. I paid £140 for the cleaning, no idea if this is the going rate as prices aren't transparent.
I'd suggest if you are going to have your wedding dress cleaned here, get it done before your alterations so any damage can be fixed.

Delighted with alterations to my curtains. Nina added extra fabric to lengthen existing curtains, and then made 2 lovely cushions with left over fabric. Top quality alteration, looks so smart. And all in good time.

I decided to go here, due to it being one of the local dry cleaners to me that actually do everything in house, unfortunately there isn’t many about now.

Everything that we gave came back good, in dry clean bags & metal coat hangers.

The only comment I would say, prices are really high, which has slightly put me off coming back.

Fantastic service is not always about making sure everyone has a good experience, it is about sorting out problems when they happen. Today I picked up the 4 items I had taken in for dry cleaning. (Please continue to read if you have got this far, otherwise this will sound negative). One of the items had been ruined - because the manufacturer (Pretty Little Things) had put dry clean only on the label. Only, the dry cleaning process destroyed the outfit as it was in fact polyester (which you cannot dry clean. The owner let me know what had happened - and what should happen next: it isn't their fault, but they would give me a document spelling out what caused the damage and that the garment was mislabelled. I would then have to go back to the manufacturer for a refund, this is their fault for mislabelling the garment. However, the owner let me know that because this is a real hassle, and as I've been a regular customer for a while, he had already ordered a replacement identical garmet. My fiance was so happy to have the problem sorted, so I would definitelyt recommend Mapperley Top Clean. Now, I'm off to Pretty Little Things to complain...
