The two stars are only for the nice staff (the guy and gal that used to be on the stored they closed). The rest is horrible. Very expensive and no quality control. Half the shirts come with bad wrinkles from the presser, see photos (that shirt is not supposed to look like an accordion) . It is all done in a rush without quality control. Sure, if you take them back they'll redo it. But anyone who is paying to get shirts ironed is too busy to go back and forth. In the time it takes me to drive to the store and back (especially because they closed the nearer store) I will have ironed several shirts with much better quality without needing to deal with the Vestal Parkway.

Wish I would have read the reviews before going here! Brought 2 pairs of uggs here to be cleaned, not in bad shape at all when I got them back they looked like they were tossed in pet hair sprayed with a water bottle and let to air dry! When I complained to the manager about this after paying the cleaning fee he said they could only refund a certain amount of my money back. He mentioned to me about a paper stating this which I was never aware of! He sent them back out to get cleaned again and still looks bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone they need to take the sign down because they do not clean uggs they ruin them! Below are pictures of what they did to my boots!

Super nice staff and everything was perfect! I took a down jacket here that had a few spots from salt and they got it cleaned quickly and on time. Jacket looks crisp and brand new!

I brought in a hemp-fiber play mat that my infant son plays on. It's basically a small comforter. It's machine washable. When I tried to wash it, it was too big for my washer and tore open. The fluffing stuck to the playmat. The hole is about 1 inch long. I am a busy parent and was hoping that Bates troy could clean it and sew the hole closed. We brought it in on Friday and they were unsure if they could clean or repair it. I was told that someone would call Monday to let me know. I did not get a call. I go in on Wednesday. My playmat has been sitting in a plastic bag for 5 days. It smells. I was told that I would need to sign a release for them to clean it. I said no problem. But it didn't end there. I was then told it might "disintegrate" in the wash. I pushed back (its machine washable). I was told that it might "fall apart" because of the hole. I reminded them I wanted them to sew up the hole. I was told the "stains" would not come out. There weren't stains on the playmat. It was the wet/dried fluffing. It was apparent they just didn't want to clean it. Instead of telling me that outright, they took it, let it sit in a plastic bag for 5 days and then gave me the run around about it. The playmat is in worse condition than when I brought it in. I am going to sew it up, brush off the fluffing, and take it to the laundromat. It's a simple but time consuming task that I was willing to pay someone $50 to do. Overall a very frustrating experience.

My fiancé had his dress pants altered here. We weren’t happy with the length of the pants as no one was there to measure and “pin it” when it was dropped off and no one told us that was an option…when picking up the tailor said if we want it corrected we had to PAY AGAIN for the exact same service. She then tried to pin the hem on him (which is what should’ve been done when we dropped it off) and she PRICKED HIM with the needle. The hem now has blood stains on it. With that being said my reason for the poor review is that the tailor was so RUDE as a person. I would not want her working for me if it was my business. She treated us very poorly and once she was done saying what she wanted in an unprofessional manner she just walked away and we were left to walk away unhappy with the product and the customer service. I will not be going back to this place again.
