Legacy Cleaners

From the warm cookies and cold water bottles (both free), to the way the staff know me when I come in the door, this is one of those places with a phenomenal sense of customer service. They even helped to save my marriage. I'd dropped off some clothes for my wife and, having forgotten to pick them up, got a phone call reminding me of my omission and offering to drop the garments off at my house. My wife was about to go out of town for business and needed those suits! I cannot begin to explain how well taken care of I feel with this service. Also, they get my clothes quite clean and do so quickly at a very reasonable price. I'd give them six stars if I could!

My 500 dollar suit jacket was returned to me in worse condition than it was when I dropped it off dirty. The jacket and pants had lots of white fuzz all over and the jacket didn't look like it had even been cleaned at all. There was glitter on the collar and a scuff on the shoulder area and looked dirty. The work quality has declined quite a bit since I first started coming here 3 years ago. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

After being charged for a $14 "dry clean" instead of a "press". Calling to ask why I was charged for the difference and being told "a dry clean and a press is like the same thing I think.. it's the same amount of stuff you have to do so there's no price difference". I get home and take my dress out of the cleaners bag to it ALREADY WRINKLED. So, I paid $14 for a brand new unworn dress with tags still attached to be in the same wrinkly condition I had originally dropped it off as. I'm just really confused at this point why I even took the time and money to have this pressed.

I decided to try Legacy since they are a little more convenient to my home. Service was fast and friendly, but their prices were WAY out of line. They charge $2.25 per shirt. Needles to say, I won't be going there again. I get the same prompt and courteous service at my old cleaners, Uptown Cleaners on Penn, for a reasonable cost.
