From the ease of the ordering process, the pickup and return Clarendon Laundry made what could have been a stressful situation much easier. While the price was a bit more than we had anticipated, after having our laundry returned to us folded, sorted and neatly packed we are more than happy with the out come. We will definitely be using this service again in the future.

Edit to previous review...Unfortunately our second time using Clarendon Laundry left much to be desired. We had our dry cleaning picked up, the delivery day came and went with no communication from the laundry service.  When I reached out to find out where our delivery was I was informed that they had me down for in store pickup, even though their own app stated "waiting for deliver". When we finally recieved our dry cleaning (5 days late) our nylon clothing bags had been replaced with clear plastic film bags. When I called to ask what had happened I was informed they had lost our good quality clothing bags but could replace them with their own. One of their drivers dropped off 1 very cheap clothing bag, the type you buy in bulk off Amazon for £1 a piece. To say i was extremely let down by the decline in their customer service would be a drastic understatement.

I used their laundry services (wash, dry and fold) for a few months when I was there, and they had been a great support for my entire stay. Timely collections and drop with proper laundry services, even went beyond their way a couple of times to entertain some difficult requests from my side. I highly recommend using their services.

What a great place! By far the cleanest and best looked after launderette in the Birmingham area. I’ve been a regular for many years now. Prices are competitive and the service you get here is second to none, the girls running it are so friendly and helpful and generally just pros at what they do.

This is by far the worst washateria I’ve ever used, and I won’t be returning. The washing machines are ridiculously high, making it impossible to use them comfortably unless you’re tall. I had to tiptoe just to put washing powder into the slot, and despite being as careful as possible, a small bit of powder ended up on top of the machine. This was unavoidable due to the poor design.

Instead of offering any understanding, the rude, grumpy old man working there decided to follow me all the way to my car to complain about it. He claimed there was a stool I could’ve used, but the floor was wet, and if I had slipped and injured myself, he admitted he would’ve been liable. Yet, rather than addressing these issues or offering help, he was sarcastic, unprofessional, and condescending, going as far as making immature comments like “bla bla bla.” His behaviour was not only rude but also felt intimidating and completely unacceptable.

On top of the harassment, the prices here are outrageous—£9.00 for an XL washing machine that only runs for 25 minutes. Other places offer longer cycles for the same price or less. We pay for a service, but we don’t get the service we expect—they clearly don’t care about their customers.

Avoid this place at all costs. It’s a waste of money and you’ll only leave feeling frustrated and disrespected.

To explain I rarely leave reviews but having read what I would assume is a very grumpy and miserable person with a grudge.
I felt compelled to respond as my experience here is very different.
I'm an old chap and have been coming here for many years when a gentleman used to run it but of recent years by a young girl ( to me!! ) and have found them to always be helpful and friendly. And there have been many occasions I needed that at my age.
The laundry shop is always clean and tidy as are the machines I find the prices good compared to others and will continue to use it until I can no longer carry the bags here.

Whilst I respect other people's opinions  I do feel this particular person is just being nasty and vindictive for her own purpose.

Sorry for rambling on but nastiness is just such a negative feeling.

Moseley washeteria is a God send staf are so friendly as a disabled person it's not easy to take clothes in a lawndret as a weel chair user thay solved all my fears I was able to get home pick up and drop bk to me fantasic servis well appreciated

Every aspect of their work is the greatest I have ever seen and I have used a few. Washing, drying, ironing all absolute first class.

The gentlemen owner is lovely. Always so polite and makes sure my clothes are neatly folded and arranged into separate bags to put them away quick and easy once home. Would definitely recommend iv been using this shop for about a year now and never had a problem. Super fast aswell :)

It is understandable that due to the rise of cost of living you see prices become a bit more higher and it should be understandable that business owners will need to adjust their prices for them to stay in business.

I used monarch cleaners for more than six months and I was satisfied by the owner who runs this place. But during April 2023, the owner informed me that he’ll need to raise the prices. This is completely understandable, since then every time I used his services he kept on increasing the prices, this affected my budget. And I felt he was manipulating and taking advantage of me, every time he talked with me he had a smirk on his face.

As a person who drives to this destination, you cannot park in the bus stop to carry your washing. So I parked on yellow lines for 1 or 2 minutes on Lister Street. In the past when I engaged with traffic enforcement officers, I explained to them “I’m just going to drop/pick up my laundry” and they were ok with me and they themselves saw me return immediately to my vehicle to leave the area. (these traffic enforcement officers are born and bred in this country)

The final nail in the coffin for me to stay away from this place is where I had a unpleasant encounter with the latest traffic enforcement officer (originated from somewhere in Eastern Europe). He started to argue with me as I was heading to the laundry to pick up my laundry, I’ve explained to him of what I was going to do. I had to ignore him because he was ignorant and he proceeded to wait by my vehicle. When I did return to my vehicle with my laundry he became all docile and backed away. For vehicle owners who reads this review, just be mindful and be aware that you may get harassed by eastern European traffic officer who have no intention to have a civil conversation with you. And keep in mind if you still decide to use this laundry you may have to park your vehicle very far away and carry your load of washing to this now expensive laundry service.

The gentleman working there was super helpful, sorted out change for me and interacted well with everybody that came in.
It was £8.50 for the largest washer and then £1 for each 7 minutes in the dryer as of 22/04/24

I moved to this area last month, had no washing machine in new house therefore needed to visit my local laundrette and have made 4 visits since every time I left with total contentment, the guy (who I think is new) always on hand to help you out and happy to move your laundry from wash to dryer. Premises look sparkling clean, definitely refute previous reviews. My washing machine arriving next week but I will defo keep coming for tumble drying and heavy washes.

Always helpful, cheery and will make you feel welcome. We visit once a week usually for our laundry, and it’s no longer a chore but something we quite look forward too… weirdly.
